Theres no restaurants in the area theres like greasy spoon hood joints but there is no real restaurants in the area where you can sit out and have a date night with that special someone. This is a place where you see the movie and get the hell out of Dodge typical overpriced candy if youre catching a show at 10 oclock dont bother to get the extra large drink when you get a refill because they close the concession stand while youre in the movie so you can I get your refill. Small selection on candy not much of a selection they really got to get those new Coke machines where you can choose over like you know 5000 different flavors they have Pepsi machines where you basically only have five flavors to choose from for drinks. The community is very loud in this movie theater you cannot enjoy the movie your best bet is to try and go early because theyre probably still sleeping and you can see the movie if you go anytime in the evening or on the weekends you will hear a bunch of ignorant people people talking this is the type of movie theater where people will bring crying 1 year old babies. I am serious. It happen in December when I saw hateful 8.
Pros: Very friendly staff, nice decor, clean, good prices - I liked the feel when I walked into this studio movie grill. The staff were nice and helpful as well. The seats were very comfy as well and the prices for food were reasonable. Cons: The food - The nachos were okay as was the dessert but the California burger that we ordered had a horrible taste. I am not sure what it was but we didnt even take another bite. Also, they brought our dessert out first, about 10 minutes before our appetizer and entree. I would like to go back but I think the quality of food is very important and will perhaps wait a little bit to see if this is improved in the future. Side note to Studio Movie Grill - would be cool to see this location have the 2 for $25 deal like in Wheaton:-)
Its a good place locally on the Southside. Comfortable seats and amenities. Slow service, not enough urgency shown when lines get long. Food takes too long to be brought to you at your seat. Was 1 hour into a movie before receiving my order of just chicken fingers and fries. Watched 3 movies here and in 2 of them people talked through both loudly rudely. Told the personnel and they did nothing to alleviate the issue other than a free beverage and etc. I just want the place to shine and be a mainstay because the Southside doesnt get shown any love when it comes to big name venues and etc. So this place is nice but it comes with some back drag in service.
The tickets are $5 all day, every Tuesday! They are still in the process of revamping the place. Its been years now for the upgrade, sloooooooowly but surely, they are getting it together. The employees seem much friendlier now. In the theaters, the chairs all received an upgrade. Most dont recline, like the fancy ones at AMC theaters, but they are comfy and have a little table that moves. Great neighborhood location. Snacks and popcorn are all still high priced, but thats the same at all movie theaters. Great sound quality and adequately sized screens. Will definitely be back!!
The movie theatre wasnt ready until 10 minutes before the movie was supposed to start. Supposed to. How do you start a movie late? Some of the actual seats are computer chairs!? Lucky I didnt get one of those. The movie cut out 15 minutes before the end, and it didnt cut back on until during the credits. At the very least we got free movie vouchers. That doesnt help me though; Im from out of state. The perimeter of the place is disgusting with all the trash. And the inside is apparently "newly remodeled" but its already looking bad. No. Just no.
Ok place, not as nice as it should be. Theaters need to be kept cleaner. The food is mediocre at best and for quality of the food well overpriced. I always feel like I paid too much when dinning here. The movie price is a great deal by Chicago movie prices. My recommendation if you go here just get popcorn and soft drink. Also, ordering at the counter in a dine-in theater is weird and a bit dehumanizing. All other dine-in theaters I have went to have seat/table service. Including this theaters chain in the burbs, hmmm....
Awful. Parking lot was dark, couldnt see the lines. Cars parked all over the place, entry way was tight. No one scanned us in, no security anywhere! teenagers everywhere! disruptive, screaming and running. Bartender could not make a good drink, got our food oder wrong and didnt bring napkins or condiments. Then teenagers were loud and talking during the movie, hopping seat from seat and shouting and cursing during the movie! worst movie experience of my life!! Do not go! waste of money and time!!!
Bartenders and window staff were incredibly nice. Restrooms were disgusting. Waiter buttons dont work and when I asked the staff about them, they laughed. I ended up having to walk all the way back to the bar, which I was already at prior to the movie, to order food which makes no sense. Additionally they should consider turning on subtitles on the movies so that they can be understood over all the noise in the audience. I will NEVER return.
I like the theater. The staff is fantastic, the movie quality (screen size, picture, sound, etc) was good. The 2 issues I have are: 1) the seats recline, but they dont sat reclined. You have to force the seat back. Its not an about push button like other dine in theaters Ive been to 2) the menu is all fried, died, and laid to the side, lol! I would have liked some lighter options. Add some veggies to the menu, that arent battered and fried!
First, better maintenance of the interior would be appreciated. We should not walk in theaters looking like this(theatre 14). But, the employees are very nice and engaging. The theaters are pretty clean. Very pleased with the customer service. Children under 13 shouldnt be allowed in w/o adult. Too many tweens who do not know how to conduct themselves. Expect to pay the usual premium price for concessions or eat beforehand.
Great! We are in town visiting my grandmother friends and family! Had a great time. Even though its not the full service studio movie grill just yet, they are working on it. The staff was amazing as well as the food and bar. Feeling blessed that we could make it to see hidden figures! Friendly and helpful manager, bartender and concession stand staff. Would definitely go back and recommend! Thanks Chatam studio movie grill!
The movie I want to go see was great and I got my ticket online so when I went to the window she was really nice and sweet but it looks really good I like really really ghetto I thought to myself I would never come there at night I went to the later show people were laughing and talking during the movie but again I enjoyed the movie just not so much the environment of the people that go there
This Movie Theatre is Great! The Employees Are Great; Its Just Sometime its the Reflection of the Employees Reality when they may have a Attitude. I dont blame them. If the Consumers would come with theyre Best Behavior You Would not have these Problems With Our Neighborhood Theatre. I love it & I Will Continue to Support The Theatre. If you think its bad, Do Somethin to help The Change.
