Management – 0 Stars. HORRIBLE. I would LOVE to go to Hawaiian Falls tomorrow, but I can’t afford the gas!!! When my family moved away from the Hawaiian Falls we used to live beside, before this season even opened, we were not allowed to get a refund on our season passes. Now we hold 4 season passes we can’t use because we live too far away to make the drive!! DO NOT BUY SEASON PASSES!!! Come hell or high water, you won’t have a chance for a refund for ANY REASON. Furthermore, it only saves you maybe five bucks, so not worth the risk. Safety – 2.5 Stars – 2017 After an intense lightning strike, park manager had to make a phone call to decide if she should tell people to get out of the water. What!? And – My 9 year old had to alert the lifeguards of a child who was unable to swim that had been swept into the deep. This child was screaming that she can’t swim as she bobbed up and down and the lifeguards were oblivious. 2016 - I have never seen such an effective safety system as this park has. The lifeguards are extremely well trained and very focused on safety at all times. I have seen multiple practice drills keeping them on their feet. They rotate from location to location preventing fatigue and loss of focus. They use a whistle system where one lifeguard whistles when a manager is needed and the others nearby point to the whistler while still watching their own areas. Managers are quick to respond most of the time. Cleanliness – 5 Stars – Not always perfect, but always striving. Restrooms are being continuously monitored and refreshed. Trashcans are not overflowing and are conveniently located throughout park. Water is clean due to a highly effective filtration system. Food – 3.5 Stars – Sharkeys is okay with brisket, pork, hot dogs, nachos, and pizza. Many days their menu is more limited. They dont serve fries or chicken. They serve Lays potato chips, but not with the double pizza choice. Their tea machine has been broken all summer and they dont provide lids or straws. Pizza is mediocre. Hot dogs are pretty good. Small drinks are given with Meal band. Why do some parks allow MiniMelts to be a Sweet Treat, but Garland doesnt? They claim MinMelts is an independent business, but thats inconsistent with the other parks. Garland does provide ice cream treats and cotton candy for the Sweet Treat band. Sometimes theyll allow funnel cakes and sometimes they dont. It depends on the day and worker. All food is over-priced.

The webmaster for this place did a great job, it looks super appealing and like a nice big park from the website. But when you get there, though, its tiny. Like, hilariously small for the 25$ tickets. Theres around 3 actual rides at the time of writing, a wavepool, a tiny "lazy river", and a giant kiddie park like nrh20. Oh, and youll also have to pay 10$ to bring in a cooler of any size. We had a tiny one with a 6 pack of soda and had to pay 10$ to get in. Be wary though, if theres bad weather theyll try to get you to stay until its 4pm so they wont refund you. "Oh its only temporary" they said when I initially tried to get my refund. Then "1 dollar ice cream" and "free refills", "2 dollar pretzels", etc trying to get people to stay until 4pm. We got there around 2:30, the severe weather warning was called at 3:20, making everyone get out of the water. We waited to see if it would pass (because they said multiple times it would), then right at 4pm they shut it down. Now, apparently the policy is no refunds after 4, but this is silly when you half-way close the park down for 40 minutes saying things like "this should pass in the next 20 minutes". You assume theyre watching the news, or getting some kind of information, but theyre only trying to keep you in until 4 so they wont refund anyone. Not knowing this, we went to get a refund since the ticket stubs actually show the time of purchase, and their response was "Well I know its silly, but nope". Now, we didnt know about the 4pm rule, but it says "in the event of severe weather where the park is closed for more than 15 minutes, refund will be given before 4pm". Well, the park was closed 40 minutes before they really closed it all the way. I tired calmly explaining this but was shrugged off because Im 20 and look like Im 15. So in short: Tiny park with no rides Bad Service Huge lines because theres 3 rides Hilariously overpriced Oh, and this was the park in Roanoke, I didnt realize their were other ones.

Passing this info along from a friend: Beware of potential kidnapper loitering inside of Hawaiian Falls Garland, TX. She stalked my 7 year old daughter at the playground, trying to "win her over" and lure her further from the playground while simultaneously determining who she was with and where my daughters friends/guardians were located. She would follow my daughter and overtly praise her - it was excessive and obvious. My neighbor was watching, from the side, yet very closely to understand what this lady was doing. He quickly determined she was absolutely alone and focused on pulling my daughter away. He stepped in when he needed to and confronted her. She immediately became nervous, attempting to explain herself, lying when she said she was with her granddaughter. Witnesses stated she was alone and confirmed that at the time the park closed. Her description is below. She is very easy to identify by appearances, especially her gold teeth, crowns and fillings, more below. The manager at the park was notified, but did not take immediate action. She only took a description. I was not at the park, but I am taking further action. Please beware in the Garland, TX area, Hawaiian Falls, and take note of the description of this lady: - white female, early 60s - grayish/white hair with 2 tone black hair towards the bottom and roots - gold teeth, gold crowns and fillings everywhere, very obvious especially towards the back of the mouth - approximately 55" heavy set approximately 180 pounds - generally very creepy looking

Went there today with two girls. First we were in dipping dot line for ice cream. First girl got cotton candy flavor then employee said sold out of cotton candy flavor with my second girl. I asked will you have more later for second girl...he said yes ! We went back about 2 hours later and they were sold out of every flavor except Chocolate Mint and Cookies and Cream! Sold out of French fries! Ordered a unsweet tea, was told only sweet tea. Ordered two Dr. Peppers....was told you were sold out of Dr. Pepper! Ordered a burger. The burger was pink in the middle. Yuck! The shaved ice was closed. I would expect more from you. This is the start of summer and you are sold out of everything! What the heck! On the positive side all employees were very friendly and the water seemed clear and clean. But the park itself looked run down just since we visited it last year. The wave machine was barely producing any waves. The bucket drop seemed like it was only 1/2 full. It was very disappointing. I feel like I wasted my money today.
