Regal Cinemas Stonecrest at Piper Glen 22 & IMAX is a popular movie theater located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It offers a variety of movies, including new releases and classics, in different formats like IMAX and 3D. The theater is part of the Stonecrest shopping complex, making it a convenient location for a day out shopping and watching a movie. However, it's advisable to be cautious with the concessions and to be prepared for a younger crowd if you're planning a Friday night visit.

Rotting candy for sale at this regal cinema. I went here two years ago and got candy from the candy dispenser s on the right side of the theater. I spent the movie in the bathroom sick. I thought all I ate was a hand full of strange tasting candy. Since it was dark I did not notice it was rancid. I had a few left in my pocket and looked at them in the light. They had little black spots on them and the color was faded. I went to the machine and looked. On top bright colored new candy on the bottom all rancid with black spots. I complained I was sick and missed my movie. They comped me two new ticket for the future. I asked that they remove the rancid candy because if I 5 foot 5 and 150 plus lbs got sick a child could really get ill. they said they would handle it. I left. Almost a year later I went again and was angered to find the same rotten candy in the same machine. I complained again and said if they did nothing I would write a bad review. They put an out of order sign. I thought ok they are finally going to remove the rotten candy. Its been almost a year again and I was beyond angry to see that the same rotten and rancid candy that made me so sick almost two, yes TWO YEARS AGO!!!!! is still in the candy machine today and no sign or anything. I mean in a day and age of law suits they can not remove rancid candy from a machine in two whole years. It would take at most 10 minutes to do. I guess regal cinema s does not care if the put their patrons at risk. You should go to a different theater. And they should be ashamed.

Getting tired of the smartass ticket taker saying anything to me other than enjoy your movie. Twice I wore a University of North Carolina National Championship hat out of 250 times going to this theatre and both times this guy says go Points to my hat and says go Duke and says some other thing about Duke. Going to beat Carolina. It is just a hat and I really do not care. But this is not customer service ot gets annoying and he asked to look in my wifes purse like we are criminals. When I asked what was going on he said Mannchester......? Was he looking for a bomb? did he mean London? Other than the upset Duke fan who could not possibly get into Duke other than to visit the campus someone should know that you do not bring your prejudices to the workplace. You are there to do a job. You do not have freedom of speech in the workplace when dealing with customers and the Supreme Court has ruled on this. So shut up please and do your job. Also if you are going invade my privacy you need to post a sign saying you are searching backpacks and purses. He is not law enforcement. I am all for safety but never in the history or terror has 2 almost 60 year old handicapped people blown up anything here in the United States or anywhere else. Other than the prejudiced non customer service ticket taker I enjoyed the movie. They would have gotten 5 stars but I am afraid this will not end until this employee is fired or someone reads him the riot act.

Ive been going to this movie theater for years. The service is what youd expect from a movie theater - mostly teenage kids just trying to find a part time job - but that isnt a negative thing in the least. They were all courteous, fast and pleasant enough. The theaters were clean and modern looking. Chairs are comfortable enough. The only drawback is that this place is SWARMED with middle school and high school children on Friday nights because of its location. If you dont like people talking during your movie, I wouldnt recommend going just because the kids can get a bit rowdy from time to time (I know - I used to be one of them), especially during a big premiere on its opening night. Overall the movie theater is much like the rest of Stonecrest - nice, well put together and an overall good experience.

I havent watched a movie here in years. Stopped in last night with a friend to watch Rouge One and was thoroughly impressed. We watched in IMAX Real 3D. The seats much bigger, leather, are now automatically recline at the touch of a button. I didnt feel cramped with people sitting beside me on both sides. I was able to recline to the exact angle I wanted. Concessions were much more expensive than I remember. $6+ for a small drink, and $7+ for a pop corn. Tickets for the IMAX 3D movie was $17+. A tad expensive but I understand theaters have to cover their costs. Luckily we had a gift card that paid for everything. If you enjoy movies at the theater on occasion and dont mind spending the monies then Regal at Stonecrest is great.

Went yesterday to go see a movie for my birthday. Theyre completely remodeling which is totally okay but the kiosk wasnt working for us. We decided to go talk to someone inside who told us that all the seats were sold out, until we went back and cancelled the order on the kiosk. Then we went to get popcorn and a drink and I was amazed that they now offered other snacks. We went ahead and got popcorn, 2 drinks and onion rings which cost around $25. I didnt think it was to bad but after waiting 10 minutes on the onion rings it was time to go to the screen. We get in there and opened the box for the onion rings and there was 5 small rings that tasted horrible. There was a reason I dont go to this theater.

My favorite theater in South Charlotte (have not been to any of the north of downtown theaters). Have a good choice films and good mix of different theaters/sizes and things always seem clean and well kept up. They also keep films longer and just switch to one of their smaller theaters. Good customer service. On one Saturday they canceled a showing I wanted to see because of high demand for movies that opened the day before, but the manager over the phone offered myself and anyone with me half price Imax tickets to our film that started an hour after the canceled show. A nice touch. They also do special events with Turner Classic Movies for classic movie fans.

Awful-If I could give zero I would. They are remodeling and the new way to purchase tickets is thru a kiosk. The kiosk was not working properly and wouldnt scan our Regal Crown Card and we were told to go inside where they only take cash. So the lady says the movie is sold out-mind you, not a new movie, and this is 30 min before the show started. Seems like a good number of seats have been removed to add the recliner seats. It was the middle of the afternoon, no crowds to speak of, and all the movies we tried to see were sold out, or one seat here or there. Not a fan, not sure we will go back

Movie Times may or may not be correct, Times listed are all over the map, news paper, internet etc have different time. Planned to se American Sniper today at 2:10 phoned yesterday to confirm time for movie today and told yes thats correct, arrange my day around the time get to the ticket window no shows until 3:40 or 4:20. CONFIRM WITH MANGER BEFORE YOU WASTE A TRIP. ALLOW AN EXTRA HOUR IF YOU PLAN ON BUYING ANY CONSECCIONS ALSO, slowest most incompetent group in the business. The place has a diamond location and is just better than average all the way around.
