Unhappy and Displeased
This is not my first time going here, and its not the first unpleasant experience I have had with Cinemark at Perkins Rowe. Infact, ALL of my unfortunate journeys over to Cinemark have been horrid. Its filthy inside the theater and equally unsanitary in the lobby, it smells like cheap cologne mingled with the smell of overpriced soggy popcorn (soggy popcorn? yes, soggy popcorn. Its not even buttered.) The ticket seller was unapproachable, and actually looked quite bored and sullen, which is understandable given the dump she was working at, but ultimately its her job to be friendly and helpful to the customers. The popcorn bought was tasteless; it had no flavor, no salt, no butter : bland. It was ten dollars worth of cardboard. The ticket taker was probably the only helpful and useful person encountered, she took my ticket and with a smile told me where my movie was to take place. I found the room, but i stayed in the hallway as I was on my phone giving directions to a friend who was on their way to the theater. An ugly young fellow with glasses who looks sexually repressed and seems to enjoys inconveniencing others for simply the sake of it, since he barely gets paid minimum wage (Which im sure goes to pay for the cheap porn he watches since he pulls no willing female), comes up to me and asks me if I need help finding my theater to which I shake my head in response. Still he doesnt leave me alone and insists I show him my ticket (I believe he thought I was loitering or sneaking into a film), so to halt his abrasiveness I end my phone call and do. His bushy, unkempt, and unhygienic eyebrows furrow at my choice of film, and he asks that I provide my I.D. to verify that I am indeed old enough to watch the film. Now I know that I look rather young, but nonetheless this is uncalled for. I look old enough to watch an R-rated film, because I am old enough to watch one, The ticket seller didnt ask me for one, so who was this pimply boy-man that smelled like stale popcorn to ask me for my I.D.? Nonetheless, I showed him my I.D. and he calls it off as a fake and asks me to exit the theater, Affronted and baffled at being manhandled (and not in a good way) I leave with the little pride that I still have intact. This place is absolutely atrocious and I would not recommend you going here. Go to the AMC theater by the mall, they have much better quality over there. I mean really you turd, was it worth $7.25?

Nice theater. Its one of the better theaters around here. I would love to give it 5 stars but it has the same problem that Ive found with a lot of businesses in this area, the employees are rude, disrespectful and act like you are putting them out because you are there. Some of them are great but every time I go in and this Veronique is there I just want to leave. She rolls her eyes and bobbles her bead and is so disrespectful. She makes me feel bad that I want to see a movie. Like she has better things to do than her job. I feel she and most young employees expect a paycheck to sit around on their phones and how dare someone have the nerve to ask them for assistance. Now that Ive vented it deserves more stars because most of the employees are great and a few bad apples shouldnt ruin the whole thing but Im still upset about how this kid treated us and I just cant give it more. If she was gone Id easily give it 5 stars. Okay 4 1/2 because she is just one of the rude ones but shes definitely the worst. Honestly the male employees are more pleasant and helpful than the females. One of the young gentlemen there is always smiling and greets me like hes genuinely happy to see me there. Thats how you should be greeted when visiting a place of business that needs you to return. I want to add that all of the managers that Ive seen there are nice and helpful.

The place is okay, but the popcorn smell is over-bearing! Ive never smelled so much popcorn and butter in my entire life. And some of the theaters are a little dirty, like for an example: The first time I went there, I saw gummy bears all over the floor and popcorn in the seats. And the security guards or whatever they call themselves(Who patrol the parking garage) are racist. Just last night, I left to go get something to drink and came back to one who told me that if I didnt leave right now, hell be forced to call the police, because Im on private property. Since, when is the Parking Garage is private property? And FYI, I wasnt the only person/car who was in that garage.

Its a great theater, but row A is way too close to the screen and you have to lean sideways in your chair to be able to tilt your head up enough to see the entire screen. They shouldnt have installed that row at all, much less sell tickets for it. We are now waiting in a very long line to exchange tickets that should have never been sold to begin with. The seats are very comfortable and the theater itself is nice, but there was popcorn all over our seat and in the cup holders. We will come back, and if the experience is better, we will leave a better review. Never buy tickets for row A.

I love Cinemark Perkins Rowe. We always enjoy going there. I love their program where you get discounted concessions. My husband and I dont go to any other theater. We love the special programs they put on, Opera, and the old movies. There are movies Ive seen at Cinemark now that I had only seen on a TV screen. The bathrooms are always clean and that says a lot. The people are friendly. I have nothing bad to say except sometimes its freezing in the theaters. But I just bring a sweater when I go and that solves that problem. Love Cinemark Perkins Rowe.

Went with a friend to go and see a movie one night, and the concession stand was filthy, the box office person was rude and disinterested, the seats were uncomfortable with no leg room and had barely any elevation so if someone tall or (in our case) an obnoxious hair-do, you are S.O.L., and the people in there were as rowdy and obnoxious as can be Ive worked at a movie theater before, and it was NEVER like this. Terrible place with terrible service, and the quality of the movies are no match to Rave.

The new renovation is the Bees knees. Im assuming there competing with the new movie and dinner theater off of college. But back to the renovations, theyve added digital bars in front of each room to show which film is playing. Inside of the rooms are the real surprise not only did they add all new leather automatic lazy boy reclining style chairs but they built walls that separate each row so that the only thing you see is your neighbors and the screen out front. ITS BEAUTIFUL HERE!!

Never had a problem with any movie at this theater. Not any better than most, but certainly not bad. But their customer service is amazing. After attending a movie Sunday night I arrived home to discover an item had fallen out of my pocket while reclining in the seat. I called the theater and asked if they could keep an eye out for it. Not an hour later they called me and said they found it. I picked it up the next day. Great customer service.
