Nice local theatre. Comparatively inexpensive, yet still carries first run / opening night movies. Its a 1940s / 1950s style theatre with three screens. Once upon a time it only had one huge cinamascope screen with a large auditorium with a large mezzanine and balcony. Now the former balcony is their large theatre and the mezzanine is divided down the middle into two smaller theaters, which are still about the size of your smaller theaters at a modern multiplex. Its worth full price just for the ambiance and nostalgia, but they only charge $7.50 for and adult full admission. Its a great place to see a movie. Its not as cool as the old 1920s and 30s cinema halls with their red velvet, chandeliers, and gold leaf, (like the old Bay Shore Theatre that got turned into the YMCA), but its the next best thing.

Im so glad that this theater is still open. Dont expect reclining seats and armchair food service. This theater is as old school as you can get. But that is part of the charm. The upstairs theater is big but super cozy. Snack stand has everything youd want for movie snacks. And for a few dollars less than what you would spend at a mega-plex. If you want dinner options...youll have to choose any of the many options available just yards away on Main St. Its fairly quiet too. We were able to see some blockbusters on opening night with no problems getting a seat. A bit run down but its still worth your time to patronize this convenient landmark.

PRO: its cheap CON: filthy. Cleaning costs can be very little. They should protect their long-term investment, by paying a person who strictly cleans (even once a week would help). All of the workers who Ive encountered, hold multiple responsibilities (usher/projectionist/food/tickets/custodial) (all the same guy & girl). It looks like they could use a little help. The workers are friendly, but definitely overburdened. I grew up, attending this theater & have fond memories of the place. Id hate to see this place close its doors again, but unless things change; its inevitable. Good Luck

I really really want this theater to stick around. It was closed for years and opened back up again a few years ago with a fresh coat of pain and some new digital projectors. They seem to do their best to get the popular movies on their 3 screens. Sound system needs to be brought up to specs and the brightness on the downstairs projectors needs to be cranked up. Seats are a little shabby too. But still, its $8 per ticket which you cant find that anywhere else these days and if youre from town you can walk to it from home.

Purchased tickets for my two daughters and myself all for twenty bucks. Two boxes of candy for eight and the picture and sound was great. Very polite and helpful staff. Sure, the place hasnt been renovated like every other place on Long Island but the pricing and atmosphere is like no other theater on L.I. as well. Its a pleasure to be able to take my children to a theater that was like the movies when I was growing up. We all had a great time and will definitely return.

they are definitely not taking care of this place. tons of chairs broken and havent been repaired. just have garbage bags and tape on them. the place smells disgusting. screens are bent and makes the movies look distorted. they need to start putting the money they make into fixing and taking care of this theater.

The people were nice. Went for a show as soon as the cinema opened for the day. Cheap prices, but you pay for what you get--Couldnt sit through half the movie, the place was filthy. Garbage everywhere. In need of a thorough cleaning. 1 star for the employees, another for the price of the tickets.

Amazing cinema, large screen and clear audio system. The place is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The price of tickets and concession items are also unmatched by any other movie theater Ive ever been to!

Great theater for the price. It only shows 3 or 4 movies at a time- but theyre usually all new and top hits. Senior tickets are 6 dollars and adult tickets are 8 for regular movies.

I went here last night to see Spectre at 8pm. When I walked in at 7.45, I was told that they were "done for the night". I assume theyll be closing down soon.

Good little local theater. Premieres usually a day before the big movie theaters. Not too much food variety but good enough for the price you pay.

My kids thought it was a haunted house the seats were too low for kids and me so u have to sit up straight to see full screen.
