The point system changes as you try to collect them. It starts out with a countdown of 200 or 300. Each point is one penny. Twenty cents equals twenty on the countdown. So that equals two dollars per point needed for the free play. Ten to twenty points for a five dollar free play. That means you will have to spend twenty to forty dollars to get a five dollar free play. Thats if the countdown doesnt change on you, which it WILL. Try 500 on the countdown, BEFORE you reach the final amount you need to get your free play. Remember, one penny per countdown point, that means FIVE dollars times ten points equals fifty dollars, for a five dollar free play? So, to say that Calder casino is fun? Yes, if you dont mind limited games and someone changing the rules of the game a as you play it. Sorry, after playing at many different casinos, I dont think I can recommend this casino. Try the hard Rock or Mardi gras casinos.

I liked the casino. The security is on point, alert, and helpful. The players club reps were nice and greeted me with a smile the 2x I went. However, they failed to explain how to work their vouchers. I received a buffet voucher but was never told that I must print it. The same day I later brought a friend and she received one as well. When I called to ask why I couldnt see the voucher online I was told I had to print it the same day. The guy was very nice in explaining but if I went twice and was never advised of that they should still honor the voucher. I dont think an apology was good enough.

I have been going to Calder for over 30 years. It has always been my favorite place to watch and wager on the thoroughbreds. Now, with the new casino, there is a wider range of gaming. The cool, clean casino is very easy to get around. If you need a drink or a meal, many choices are nearby. Everyone I have told to check out the new casino has had a great experience. The friendly staff has been very helpful, too.

Its clean, its small and its a all computer/high tech place and U can self serve yourself free soda. Somewhere in the back is in small print, no weapons allowed, since its NOT a Indian land casino, as long as U have a license, carry on and discreetly. They give U a $25 in house gaming credit for newcomers.

We enjoy Calder Casino when we decide to "try our luck". They seem to keep getting new games so theres always a variety and we love the buy-one-get-one buffet with the Calder Club coupons. It is always lots of fun to go and (dont tell anyone -- wouldnt want to jinx it) we normally hit a nice jackpot or two.

Buffet is amazing. Pasta is pretty amazing as well. I always too the chef. Makes it rather quick and depending on chef will take food to table. Gambling is as other casinos are. I dont personally gamble, boyfriend does. Drinks are average pricing. Moscato is the most affordable choice, for I like wine.

They keep on tightening the slot machine more and more. A few years ago you would win jackpots and your money would last longer. Now i have not won a jackpot in over two years and my money last a lot less time. One thing though the atmosphere is nice.

Calder is very petty and cheap with free play $5 free play is ridiculous. It cost more than $5 to drive there. I wish they band all casinos in Florida. They are making money off of senior citizens and low income people

biggest problem with calder they donot show boxing events . reason .. no authorization youre licensed to gamble serve alcohol . prohibited from showing the biggest fight of the century . shame on you.

Love coming here with friends. Environment is nice, free play and free hot chocolate is cool and just being able to chill at the bar, listen to the band play some of my favorites is even much better.

They ran a promotion in May: Gamble up to $250. Well send you back whatever you lose (in gaming credits). Never saw a dime of it and they dont return my calls, so careful with any promos.
