I am so incredibly upset that I had to cancel My daughters birthday party. We booked it at Maya Cinemas a month ago and they decided to call me Thursday, THREE days before the party to tell me they now will not have any kids movies showing during her party time. (They do a party room for an hour and a movie before or after.) They couldnt change our party time and did NOT even offer to TRY to accommodate us. I called & talked to someone, left a voicemail on the management line AND sent an email. A manager didnt call me at all, a girl who doesnt even do the parties called me back. I went in and got my refund today and not once have I received an apology. My daughters 6th birthday party had to be cancelled and Maya Cinemas officially has the worst customer service and management ever! I would never recommend this place.

They may have a nice theater but their operations are WORST. Employees standing around, and employees just following each other to another. When we walk out of the theater, they dont even say "Thank You." They just look at you and pretend like they saw nothing. When we first walked in, we saw two employees just sitting back, chit chatting. And the cashiers in the consessions, they havent even count on yet, they were just standing around and when people come they start to count on, which takes at least 7 mins for me to get my order. During the movie I was going out to use the restroom, one of the employers were standing by the hallway in the audtorims watching movie, and i walked past and he just kept watching like hes a customer. Shame on them. Not happy at all. Nice place but operations SUCKS.

Ive never had an issues at here with people being obnoxious or technical issues. Some of the theaters are rather small, but the seating is very comfortable and gives you plenty of space. Over-priced concessions are typical of any movie theater so be prepared to give them your arm and your leg if you want to buy any. As is becoming more and more common, they will search your bags for weapons (and probably food and drink as well) before theyll let you enter. This theater is very nice though, especially since it is so new. The close proximity to so many different food choices make it a great to place go if youre in the Fresno State area.

I went here for my daughters first movie (Moana) and asked for a cry room. It was an amazing experience for my 2 1/2 year old toddler and great for myself as a mom. There was a bathroom right next to the cry room. Only con I have about the bathroom is it needs a baby changer for parents with infants in case they need to bring their baby with them and change them so their older children can watch a movie. The seats are very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and it was not crowded. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone in Fresno/Clovis area. Especially if you have small children and still want to go to movies!

This theater is a little pricey, but its incredibly clean, with comfortable stadium seating, and great sound systems. The one thing I absolutely love, though, are the crying rooms, which is great, because I love seeing movies, but I can hardly ever find somebody to watch my baby. The crying rooms are excellent, since it gives me a quiet space to go back, and still enjoy the movie even if my daughter gets fussy in the middle of the show. Maya cinemas is an excellent, high quality movie theater that sets itself apart from the slightly cheaper theaters around the area.

Maya Cinemas 16 Fresno is way better than any other theater I have been to. The sound is amazing in their MPX theater and Dolby atoms theater! They have self serve soda machines with tons of flavors. They have their rewards system in place now so you can earn points on your purchases. They even care about the community by using local advertising and having a day where ones with special needs get discounted tickets with their families. All in all this is a great movie theater and I would recommend going!

When this theater was about to open we were told it would show, in addition to the big movies, some independent and foreign films. So far this has not been the case. They are showing the same stuff everyone else is showing which means they are just dividing the bodies that go to movies amongst themselves. We need a little theater in a larger complex for the rest of us who look week after week for something to go to and end up staying home and watching movies on Netflix or Amazon.

I like this theater best. Lines are usually fairly short for tickets and consessions and move quickly. Minimal waiting for refills since you get to dispense your own soda and they often sell reusuable cups you can keep. The chairs are still very nice though i dont always enjoy some of the seats - like when i wear a skirt and my skin sticks. The theaters with larger screens (mpx) have extra large seats with armrests which can support your food purchase and drinkholders.

Apparently they dont update their times on Flixster and Fandango so the showtimes are off on those sites, very annoyed because we came to see a movie late at night but apparently it wasnt updated on the site that there was no showing at that time. The guy tried to tell us that it was Flixsters fault but I have worked at a movie theater before and I know that you are suppose to let Flixster and Fandango know of the change of schedule, it is just laziness by this staff.

This theater is clean, the seats are comfy and the bathrooms are usually clean. I like that they offer a cry room for some show times so you can watch movies with little ones without worrying about them disturbing the other people in the theater. My complaint is that they dont have any booster seats for kids. We were told it was a safety hazard but my 4 year old son got folded up and stuck in the chair since hes small for his age. Isnt that a safety hazard?

It was a good place to go see a movie, the only issue is there are way too many teens there...disrespectful teens. Maybe it was just this first experience but there were kids talking throughout the whole movie and constant chair kicks in the back. They apologized but a bump or kick every 15 minutes just ruins the movie watching experience. Other than that, its clean, great vibe and screen and sound are good, especially with rooms with the Dolby Atmos sound.

Really fast to buy tickets and one of the few places that still has open seating instead of assigned seats only problem I have is no discounts for military or students. The only way to use your Id to your benefits is to buy your tickets on FSU campus and then go to the cinema and then it only benefits FSU students. Change this to include all colleges and highschool/middle school IDs and Ill give 4 stars include military and Ill give 5

I absolutely love this place! The employees are nice and attentive. The auditoriums are always clean and so are the restrooms! The food is good although expensive, but it is a theatre, its very much expected! I like ordering coffee, it is such a thoughtfull idea to put it on the menu! Whenever I order pizza they ALWAYS make sure it is cooked the way I like it. Totally better than any other theatre in the central valley!
