OK I agree the deal is price friendly, yes. And usually pretty clean, my daughter notices the sticky floors, I realize when you cater to people that include the free crowd or next to free, they generally have loose to none when it comes to good habits. Unaccustomed to doing the right thing especially in a public setting, (they live like pigs and publicly act the same) back to the movie now. What I am most unhappy with this family friendly theater is show times. They suck as in who makes the schedule there? Always times that dont allow for my 10 year old and I to comfortably catch a show in the later afternoon early evening before home and to bed. If your schedule doesnt permit you to get here by 3:30 no later than 4:00 pm than forget about it! Its all PG13 or R and under 10 is not a very family friendly place. I would like to conveniently catch a good PG rated show sometime once in a while around 7:00 pm is that too much to ask? And that 3 times over the last 5 years dont bother me with. That is most likely some screw up with the schedule or accident, or even a lack of PG13, and R rated shows to fill the place! You know there are people with under 13 age kids who would like to conveniently catch a show and not have to rush around and get there by 12:00 noon or close after to enjoy a movie! I guess I dont understand how they only show so many movies just 1 time a day? It seems with 3 to 5 screens they could run the hours and easily accommodate as well make more money in the process? But I obviously dont know, and really just would like to catch a decent PG show around 6:00 to 7:00 pm at times, is that too much to ask? YES! Cost and food is good otherwise, and they cant change low class people and give them manners and good habits, too damn bad America wouldnt that be nice, any time you cater to the poor you end up with people in that situation usually by way of choices they made not just ones they have, as the argument would go! I recommend the place but fire the scheduler and get somebody who can work out a real family friendly schedule, and forget the crap about the regulations of showing movies, if your regulated than post that clearly for all to know so we the people can possibly put some end to it!

Ill be honest, this movie theater is not the greatest and its pretty much the bottom of the barrel when looking for theaters to go to. Ive been here many times and almost everytime I go here I almost always regret buying a ticket and I feel like I wasted my money. Since this theater is so inexpensive often more times then not a parent will bring their child to the theater since they think its a good idea and think the child will sit still and know what going on. Well sorry to burst your bubble but that doesnt happen. Usually the child is constantly talking loud throughout the entire movie and even though the parent shushes them they dont think to tell the child to settle down or theyre going home instead they just let them talk as much as they want throughout the entire movie. Its also not just talking, depending on the age of the child they could also be screaming or crying. Apart from that they also enjoy kicking the back of your chair if theyre behind you and still the parent doesnt do anything so have fun getting nauseated and getting a headache while watching the movie. The other people in the theater are no better. It seems like a social gathering place and like a place teens like to meet at after school and talk about what happened at school and everything else. Theres also the constant light coming from the cell phone screen from people texting who think theyre being sneaky and dont think anyone else will notice the only other thing shining in the movie besides the light from the movie screen. My advice is to either rent the movie so youll be able to actually watch it and know whats going on or go to a more expensive theater so there wont be as many people there who dont want to watch the movie and you can actually enjoy it.

This facility needs a total attitude adjustment. When my two friends and I walked into OPC to see Despicable Me in 3-D, we decided that none of us had enough cash to pay, so I would pay with my card for everyone. A $15 purchase. When we get up to the counter, we said we wanted 3 food tickets, and I handed the manager my card. "We do not accept cards, cards destroy small businesses and the environment." I look at him, "Okay, what am I supposed to do? Do you have an atm?" "RIGHT OVER THERE, NEXT." I went over to the ATM and heard him telling everyone else in line about how plastic is destroying the environment and anyone with plastic needs to leave or use the atm. A few people got in line behind me, but most of the people in line left. I got back up to the counter with my friends with cash, and asked for our food tickets and 3-D glasses. "I would advise you not to throw away these glasses in the recycle bin, they just go straight to the landfill, and thats one more thing in the landfill." We all looked at him with disbelief, that this man could have the nerve to be so rude to his customers was incredible. I turned to my friend and said when he couldnt hear, "Is he really being this rude to us?" "Maybe hes stressed out," "I have never snapped at customers about anything like this, and I work with customers all day long." Ultimately, the movie doesnt make up for the fact that the customer service was crap and that the manager was so ungodly rude. He wasnt a bit apologetic in his tone. I really hope he sees this comment and tries to fix his attitude, because there are plenty of cheap theaters that I can spend my money at.

The Overland Park Cinemas is the best movie deal in Boise. We LOVE the food ticket at the OPC. Where else do you get a movie AND treats for less than $5? The kids love to pick the candy and mom and dad are happy because it is cheap. You MUST try the caramel corn! Our family actually waits for movies to arrive at the OPC so we can see it there. The funky decor reminds me of being a kid in the 70s and 80s, but contrary to the other reviews, the old seats have been replaced and are now new and comfortable. The bathroom is still funky but is very clean. This is the real deal. A+.

Glasses did not work for movie, only spent 3 min in movie. Food was disgusting, popcorn was stale and soggy. The place was a terrible mess, I guess they dont own cleaning equipment. My wife and I could not view the movie with the glasses, we have been to hundreds of 3D movies and for some reason we could not see this one. I was able to get past the nasty food, but I was not able to get past not being able to view the movie. I asked for my money back and the female manager told me it was my fault and would not return my hard earned money. Go here at your own risk.
