Experience with Cinemark Holdings Inc., Cinemark USA, Inc., owner Alder Wood Partners, L.P., and Cinemark #14 in Cedar Hill, TX, Theater #5 was unsatisfactory. Visited with spouse to see movie on 11-7-14 from 10:26 to about 2:00. We discovered BED BUG INFESTATIONS on our seats, clothes, underclothes, and received over 100 bites. We filed complaint, got report and 4 witnesses, and claim instructions. We went to Doctor and later medical treatment was required. Contacted Broadspire Claim Center with damages listed in detail and their agent, Connie Meeker, was rude, hostile, abusive, unprofessional, unethical, laughed and hung up on me. Forwared claim for damages and other to all parties above with out results to date. Their violations of TX Health and Safety Statutes resulting from Negligent management practices and other actions caused patron consumer damages for which they are responsible, but ignor. Thus, the $2.6 Billion dollar annual revenue is not a reflection of their personal ethics or professionalism. They have probably harmed or caused damages to thousands of patrons attending their Cinemark 14, Theater #5, in CH, TX and other movies nation wide per internet.,

This is my go to Cinemark now mostly because I only work 5 minutes away so I normally come here around noonish on Fridays or Thursday nights if there is a big movie premiering and I want to avoid the weekend crowds. The theater is always clean, the staff is friendly for the most part. Now speaking of the restaurant "The Reserve" OMG. I am serious, the fries and cheeseburger has to be one of the best burger and fries I have had. It is seasoned very well and has really good flavor. The quality is pretty good. I normally only frequent the Cinemarks that sell "real food" (Legacy or Grapevine locations..their burgers and fries are good as well) as I dont eat the hotdogs, nachos, and popcorn, however if you want that you can definitely get that in this theater as well. On top, you can grab some beers or other alcoholic beverages. On weekends it is extremely crowded and parking is a hot mess. The seats are all reserved, and recline. Some of the theaters are pretty stuffy but if you notify an employee they fix this pretty promptly.

My family and I love the luxury loungers and drive 30 minutes to go to this location even though other theaters are closer. The theaters are always clean and the seats are very comfortable. Tonight, my sister and I attended a movie with a lot of young girls who were yelling out, clapping and carrying on throughout the first 45 minutes of the movie. We brought this up to management who promptly came into the theater and handled the situation so we were able to enjoy the rest of the movie. After the movie, the manager approached us as we were leaving and offered us complimentary tickets. I did not catch his name before leaving but he completely turned our not so great experience into an awesome one. I admire the professionalism and understanding in this situation and thought it was a wonderful gesture. This location has earned my familys business and we will always come to this theater for movies.

Once you get into the theater theyre very nice. Great seating, sound is top of the line. When its really busy due to a big opening movie their whole ticketing system can get really congested. In my experience most of the self serve machines were down, and once I found one working it had ran out of paper, so I had to take a photo of the screen and the order number, get in line, and then proceed to receive a hand-written ticket to use to get in. I dont expect this as a normal-case issue, but when the lines get crazy it can really do a number on your overall experience. Staff were helpful but overwhelmed. Still giving it high stars because I dont think this is typical for the theater.

I dont go to Cinemark too often but out of the few times Ive gone on Friday nights, the speakers seemed to be awfully calibrated. Im not an audiophile -- but the soundtrack was completely blown up, the sound effect levels were barely audible, and the dialogue quality is not passable at all for a theater! Not really sure if its a Cinemark problem but AMC and Alamo Drafthouse have amazingly immersive speakers. Another complaint was the heater running. You could hear too much banging during the movies quiet moments. Despite the huge screen and great seats, the horrendous audio really took away from the experience.

Originally branded "Tinseltown", this is our favorite theater in the area. We go here frequently. The sound is excellent (I was a recording engineer for 20 years, so thats important to me) and the new seating is excellent. A word of warning: Now that you can book your tickets and select seats online, you will have a hard time finding any decent seating if you dont book at least a day in advance. Last minute decisions to see a movie will mean you are sitting right up against the screen. This is actually not terrible with the reclining seats, but you might end up sleeping through the movie.

Truly... Guys, I see a lot of movies, hands down. Studio boo boo grill. Its just.. it has nothing on Cinemark not even AMC (thats saying something). Cinemark! Has the best seats (even better than Angelica boo boo over price movie theater,) and Cinemark has a new little place you can eat and drink. However, really nothing compares to the xd theaters they have ALSO at Cinemark. Not even studio boo boo grills sx or whatever. Trust me, Cinemark is the better bet every time. Yes SMG has ok prices for movies, but their food is over priced and not good enough to ask for that much.

The new stadium style seating in many of the theaters is a big WIN and has completely remade the experience, imo. Big, reclining seats with a big walkway (so you dont have to crawl over people to get to your seat or go back out to get more popcorn) are terrific. Large facility, lots of room to meet/greet, and a big spread for food offerings, with smaller areas inside each arm of theaters. Very popular in area, so some movies/times will sell out. (Check online first - or Fandango.) Lots of parking and several restaurants now in walking vicinity - or a quick drive. A win.

For the price paid its not worth it. There was no food left at concessions except for popcorn and when asked if they had anything left they said no and they refused to make more with the theater still open for four more hours I find that unacceptable. The staff was rude and the overall experience was just diminished due to that. I do not suggest going to this location if you expect any kind of good service or experience. They have made all of these "improvements" only to have it ruined by the people they hire. Not worth your time or money. You will not be satisfied.

Dont let the new chairs and renovations fool you! They upgraded the facade but dont have a clue how to start a movie...we sat in the the theatre for 30 minutes waiting for the protectionist to figure out how to start the movie. The theatre clearly put their money im the wrong place. Go to any other theatre to watch the movie...only come here if you want to eat expensive snacks and sir in reclining chairs for no reason. Manager did compensate for the inconvenience but its hard to come back if there is no faith we will be able to watch a movie.
