If I could give zero stars I would! Ive been coming here to watch movies for as long as I can remember I went to Galaxy theater last night to watch the one time celebration of Friday with Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. Tickets=22$, 2 sodas=10.50, and not to mention the gas and time that it took to get dress and drive up to the movie theater. The employees there didnt even turn the lights down until someone went and complained and then about 10 minutes into the movie. I opened my phone to check in on Facebook that I was at the theater. I had my phone open for maybe a minute before a short pudgy girl came up to me and said "come with me!" like a Nazi. My boyfriend was confused and followed. When I got out there the girl said in a unfeeling tone. "I have to escort you out. you cant use your phone" My response was " No warning?" Her response was," Im sorry you have to leave." Ten minutes into the movie! Am I going crazy? Or is this the most callus way to do business anyone has ever seen in their life? All of my money and time wasted and no warning? I spoke to the manager who was also a child and she said " we have no tolerance." I thought " no tolerance for customers having a good time obviously." She then arrogantly said "Miss there are warnings signs everywhere like this sign right here and the introduction before the movie (which also NEVER happened ... not that it would make this any less callus) Someone above her head is really not running there business well. Not only that the whole place is run by children who have no idea how to conduct real customer service. Come on people. What is the world coming to? Get it together. I came to watch a movie. Not get harassed by a bunch of Nazis in movie theater uniforms who are treat you like youre a criminal!

BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE. The reason is that they have a seating system where you pick your seats on a monitor. The center seats usually fill up first and the front seats are filled last since not many people want to sit there. If you just show up on opening day to the theater chances are the showings will be sold out with no seats available. The Galaxy Theatres is probably the best theater in the city because of the electrical reclining seats you get with the same price you would pay at another theater. It has a rotating plate you can put your popcorn and food on while you lay back your seat all the way. Food is as expensive as every other theater and average tasting. It is a theater not a restaurant after all. They also sell beer and wine so you can drink while you watch a movie. Staff is friendly and quick. The theater was kept really clean as well. My only issue with the theater is the food line. It is not organized and they just call out the food that was ordered. There were many times when someone else and I ordered the same food and did not know whos order it was. Overall, good theater with the best seats in a movie theater for the same price as other theaters. If you plan to go to this theater try buying your tickets in advance.

My Experience was horrible! I took my 13 yr old Son to see Oculus,We love Horror movies and was doing our "Father & Son " night out. We went to the late viewing on Friday night .....so when we came out the Box Office was closed. I wanted to complain to the Manager at that time but couldnt. In any Horror the audience waits to be scared which sometimes happens in the middle or even towards the end.!! The Movie never got better and cost roughly $40 which included food from the Snack Bar I was informed by the Day shift Manager on Sat. when I returned to complain he wouldnt refund any portion of the Expensive night out! He said we could of had a refund if we would of walked out 15 min into the movie. This was a disappointment to me and my son. He was Rude and couldnt be bothered! I requested the Corporate office number.....After 3 messages with no response I will no longer be returning to Galaxy Theaters!!!!!! The previews with the Smiling faces is a ACT!!!! CONSUMERS STAY AWAY !! The DRIVE-IN is cheaper and you get to see 2 movies!!! Steve Price

Clean, comfy, and not cheap anymore. But thats OK, I like to go to the movies once a month or so and I dont mind that its $11.25 for a ticket. The extra cost comes with a lot. Such as clean floors and clean, very comfy seats. If the prices bother you, go during the matinee. I think its $8.75 for adults. Its a good place for a date or to just hangout with your friends. Theres a small arcade that kinda sucks. The snacks are still ridiculously priced and I dont buy them. My friends say if it wasnt for the salt and butter the popcorn would taste like packing peanuts. If you happen to have snacks in a purse or in your pockets, remember they dont ask so you dont tell. The bathrooms are clean and of course get full after a movie so try and go before hand. They also have those baby changing stations there, but please dont bring your baby. The one thing they do now that they didnt before was have ushers. They give a little "welcome" speech at the start of a movie, and legends say they will remove noisy and/or disrespectful patrons. But I doubt it.

Prior to the remodel, the Cannerys Galaxy theater was filthy. There was no pride and ti showed in the bad food, bad customer service, and awful repair of the theaters. We actually started going to the Regal Cinemas at Aliante Casino, a bit more expensive but at least it was clean. We decided to give the Cannery one last shot about a year ago and were blown away. The remodel is amazing. I dont have to share my seat with the person next to me, there is plenty of leg room, and you dont have to stand up every time someone walks by. The theaters and bathrooms dont stink anymore and an obvious effort is made to keep everything clean. I LOVE that we can go online and purchase exactly the seats we want. There are no "what if there are no seats together" worries. They have a new area to the concession stand that serves hot foods and alcohol (if thats your thing). Even with all of the upgrades it costs us the same for a night out as the other theaters. If they start serving kettle corn, it will be perfect :)

Im sitting there with my 3d glasses on, lounging in these big fluffy electric recliners (better than my house furniture) watching Star Trek Beyond in Real 3D, but I dont see the 3d effects. Lifted the glasses up and down several times during different parts of the movie to find the 3d effects, but nothing. The couple to my left seemed to be enjoying the movie with their 3d glasses. But the couple to my right werent wearing any glasses at all so I didnt know what was going on. I woke my sleeping wife and said lets get our money back, so we went back to the lobby. The manager was really nice; he generously returned our money without any fuss; thank you for that. I find it kinda funny that we werent the only ones who received 3D glasses, go figure! Well be coming back here next time Im in town; very friendly staff: Tix, Concessions and Mgt! We were there 28Jul16 945p showing
