BEWARE!!!!! I came to play at bloomindale yesterday and probably wont ever be back. I booked with Golf Now and when it came time to pay at course they tried over charging me. Ok golf now has been around for awhile. I have booked plenty of times with them and maybe I didnt catch the over charge before but yesterday I did. He wasnt very nice about it and then just discounted my buddies rate the difference. Now I hope others havent been scammed like this. He tried saying he never seen golf now already charge the tax so he tried charging us tax twice. Which was I little over 3$ a piece more for me and my friend. So I wonder how many others this has happened to. Also there was a 3 some that came into course that morning and booked with bloomindale. They could of went online and got the golf now for 33.25$ a player. Bloomingdale charged them at course 47$ a piece. How could you do that to your customers. Horrible. I called today and wanted to speak to a manager. It was the same guy. If the manager is running this place like this you can bet I will never be back with me and my friends. Maybe he needed some extra Christmas cash. Take care.

The course was in good shape and it was challenging and fun but... my wife and I had an very poor experience. This was our first time and likely our last time to this course. We showed up for our 2some a couple minutes before our scheduled tee time. Though we were ready on time, we had to wait for 4 groups to start before us. After waiting to start we of course had to wait at each and every tee for the groups ahead of us to play. Our golf cart was clearly not charged from the get go. On the 5th green we called the clubhouse to ask for a new cart and we were told they would bring one out. (The group behind us had to do the same thing) On the 8th hole our battery completely died. 7 and a half holes in and 3 hours after our scheduled tee time we walked the rest of the way to the clubhouse and abandoned our cart and round. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a golf course. It was unfortunate because the course was well kept and challenging. It could have been a lot of fun.

Being a longtime golfer and fan of Bloomingdale GC, going back to the inception in the 80s with Bobby. It has been several years and I was very disappointed with the overall conditions at the club yesterday. Clubhouse: Very tacky water station just inside the main entrance. Cart paths and area around the clubhouse: very old black top and bumpy surface. Course conditions have definitely degraded starting with the greens, and overall poor course. I never had a problem going out of my way to get to BGC in Valrico, but I will not be going back. Club ownership has changed and they are not taking care of the place, it shows big time. RR Tampa, FL

Honestly, I expected more from a course that says on its website and on the answering machine that it is "rated the top course in Tampa for 10 years". Ive played 10 different courses in Tampa in the four weeks Ive been here (one week at a time in early January since 2010). To be honest, this course would not even be in the top 9. Horrible tee box conditions, and the greens were sandy. In fact, a gentleman from Ohio was throwing sand on the 4th green while we were putting on the green! Luckily I used a Groupon so we played it for much less than normal. Disregard this course.

Course was fine but like another golfer stated below they took my money then went around and pulled all the flags on the course. There was still about an hour to hour and a half of sunlight but being unfamiliar with the course it was almost impossible for me to finish. They could of just said they were going to pull the flags at a specific time and I could have decided if I wanted to take the chance. Just beware if you are going to play late in the day ask them what time they bring in the flags.

Yesterday at the Todd Wright Golf Scramble , was the second time I played Bloomingdale. The fairways and greens were in good shape. After the course drys out the rough needs to be cut. The course layout , is challenging which I like. The back of the the driving needs a net put up, along the backside .Found many golf balls on the tee boxes. A safety hazard and legal issue if somebody gets hit. Will be back to play again .

Bloomingdale is a challenging course that requires control of your shots particularly off the tee. The greens are usually in good shape and offers numerous challenging pin placements. Like many public golf courses it is a lean operation without many frills and the overall upkeep has room for improvement. But if you are looking for a course that will test your game it is worth a visit

Pace of play was a major problem. Had a 10:08am tee time. Got off the first hole at 10:30am. Finished 9 holes at 1:12pm! The backup on the 10th tee was worse than the backups on the front 9. We left the course after 9 holes. Nice layout, but the fairways are poorly maintained and the greens are in poor condition. Definitely not worth the money.

Great challanging course layout but the condition of the greens are pretty bad. Large sprinklings of weeds that will knock your putt shots offline. This is the case with all greens, not just a few. Even the large practice putting green is becomming overwhelmed by the sprinkling of weed bursts.... Wont return until I hear of better conditions.

I have played the course many times and it never ceases to amaze me how awesome this course is. Superbly well kept, great facilities, beautiful landscape, tough, but fair layout, this course will keep bringing you back time and again. Nice staff! Golfers are pampered!! Try it if you dare. You will be "hooked" I know I am!!

Could have been better. Hreens were all over the place instead of 1 consistent speed. Also the guide book does NOT HELP those of us who are 280+ off the tee. ESPECIALLY ON THE PAR 5s. Soooooo upset cause my score should have been SEVERAL strokes less if i didnt hit into unknown or unreported snares beyond 270.

Bloomingdale has really improved in the past two years. The greens are in really good shape, the fairways are nice, and the traps are playable. If you havent been here in several years, give it another try...you will like it!

No fault of theirs, but the fairways are soaked. The ruff is barely playable. They cant mow the ruff because of all the rain. Greens are fast and in good shape. Tee boxes are nice and level. And the hotdogs are great.

Mediocre golf course. Local members picked our ball up on the 18th hole, and left to the parking lot to drink more. Skip this and find something else in the Tampa area.
