I think $30 is a bit expensive for a walking tour and scary stories. And to add I was having dinner with my family and I get a harassing phone call feeling bullied for my American right to my opinion. If Im contacted again Im calling my lawyer. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. OWNER CUSTOMER INTERACTION BELOW. LOL!!!!! “American Ghost Adventures Tour at Monumental Hotel” 2 of 5 starsReviewed July 1, 2015 We attended the American Ghost Adventures Tour at the Monumental Hotel. We saw no ghosts, heard no ghosts, and the upper level rooms we toured in had no a/c. We spent nearly 2 hours walking inside the hotel, around boxes and other things just lying around on the floor. I would not have paid the money I paid for such a waste of time. What I got for $30 each, was a very miserable experience. The only positive thing I can say about the tour was that the tour guide was very friendly.Thank Alicia824 “Ghost tour or city tour?” 2014The tour is 2 hours long and you meet in front of the Harry Buffalo Bar.After rounding up the group you are split off into groups depending on how many are in each group. You are given a plastic cup with a lid that for a fee you can fill up with coke or water at misc places along the way. You then proceed to walk down the street, stopping for long lengths of time listening to the guide tell you about stories that may or may not be true. Then you go into a bar and talk to a ghost that may or may not turn on a flashlight for you. Then you go into a building that the harry buffalo staff use as meeting rooms and then the finale is going into a small room with a wooden cut out of a ghost and then are instructed on how to buy shirts or other items with the Ghost tour logo and given marshmallows (Ghost poop) After it is done you have a chance to tip your guide. While the people are nice and the tour guide (Man) had the driest sense of humor .. ever... it was not very entertaining and at times boring standing in one place for extended periods of time. I wouldnt do this tour again... especially for the $30 a person they charge you.Thinh R, Owner at American Ghost Adventures, responded to this review, October 15, 2014 Thank you for your review Jennifer. Im sorry you feel the way you feel. Our goal at AGA is to provide a quality tour and to make it entertaining. For some reason we failed and for that I apologize. Most tour companies dont split up groups to save money. At AGA we try to keep the groups small when we can so you can have a more personable tour. As you mentioned on your review, you do walk away with a souvenir cup and a parting gift which is all included in your 2 hour tour price (*While in stock of course) We take pictures of our tours also and post them on Facebook so people can have great memories of their trip to Orlando. We take one at the beginning and the end. Some people that do ghost tours in October expect to be scared or for a ghost to pop out at them while on tour. Especially if this is your first ghost tour ever and dont know what to expect. We unfortunately are NOT a haunted house nor do we claim to be. We do communicate with the spirits via flashlight and other equipment but we can not force them to do anything. These are REAL spirits we are dealing with. We do walk you about 4 to 5 blocks through downtown Orlando. We give you history, ghost stories and a ghost investigation. We take you behind the scenes of working businesses and to answer your question....its a city tour with ghost stories included. Its a neat variety for most visiting guest. I never recommend doing a theme park all day and then coming on a ghost tour. We also dont recommend our tours to anyone that is being force or kidnapped to go on our tours. Its only fun if you want to be there. Its also in the description of our tour that it is going to be a WALKING tour and to plan on being on your feet for about 2 hours. Mind you that youre not standing for the two hours but its not a trolley ride either.

I have been on many ghost tours through out Florida, and I have to say that out of all of them, this one was my favorite. This tour, was not like any ghost tour you have been on before. Not only do you actually get your hands on ghost hunting equipment, but you get a beautiful back story of the rich history of old Orlando! Most locals dont even know some of the most curious stories of Down Town. I myself am a local and found the tour to be very exciting and made me want to come back for more soon! Our Tour Guides name was Kelsie. Her spirit for story telling definitely went well with the enticing journey we made through the haunted streets of Down Town! My favorite thing about this tour is, there are no actors, and nothing is staged. These are real investigations that you get to do with real spirits! So, be prepared on this tour! You never know who or what you might find! Bring a camera for sure!

It has been just over 3 months since my sister and did our ghost tour and investigation with Ting on Halloween 2016. I was in town for work and my sister was able to join me. We are fascinated with the paranormal and thought it would be fun to find a tour. Not only did we get a fantastic tour with the local history but we got to investigate as well. I used some of the same devices I had watched on TV! We sensed cold spots and electricity. Had feedback on our meters and answers to our questions. Incredible!!! I wish I could join this group on the February investigation in New Orleans. Hopefully next time. Not sure Ting will ever step foot on a property in Louisville but if she did I would love to be a part of that investigation. If I ever get back to Orlando , I plan on going on another investigation. A friend and my brother are are jealous and want to go too. Strongly recommend this company.

This company offers great tours around different parts of Central Florida. My personal favorite is the Downtown Orlando Tour! It is so interesting to hear all of the history of the area, & especially to learn how and why a particular building may be haunted. You can tell the guides really want to be there and not only do they know the information, but they can make it interesting and exciting! My favorite part of the tour is the investigation portion. It is one thing to hear about spirits, and another all together to go into a haunted building, be given equipment, and conduct your own mini-investigation. This is a must-see for anyone interested in the paranormal, and is a great and different way to experience a vacation in Orlando!

The tour was an excellent mix of the explainable and historical events that took place in various venues around the Church Street area in downtown Orlando. I personally preferred the interesting historical stories shared, but the tales of the paranormal that we heard were also intriguing. Half of the tour was a walk around various old and new buildings and the second half was an investigation experience in Harry Buffalos. This latter portion was more interactive and utilized several ghost hunting techniques, from flashlights to EMF detectors. We saw the flashlight flicker on and off a few times in response to questions which was very cool to witness (this was in Fergs and Harry Buffalos).
