Before heading out to the park I called and spoke to someone who informed me that if for any reason they had to close the park before time due the lightening or the weather not to worry they would take care of us. I made sure to ask are you positive she said. I drove for over an hour to get there, we went in the park a little after 4pm, when we purchased the tickets the cashier didnt mentioned anything about their policy protaining to no rain check or anything she told me the the amount I paid and that was it. There were no signs so I was going by what the lady over the phone had told me earlier, and this was my first time. While waiting in line at 6:02 we were told we couldnt go on the ride anymore due to lightening in the area which is totally ok safety first. While waiting one of the workers told use we are closed. So I said ok started getting my daughter and son ready another girl came up to me and we are closed and want to make sure everyone get out of the park safe and due to the fact that you have your son we want to make sure you get to your car before the storm come. I said thank you and proceeds to exit the park. I went up to one of the cashier and informed her of my previous phone conversation earlier that day she said I was misinformed but to hold on. Gorby came up to the window and apologize for the misleading information that I was given and there is nothing that they can do about it because technical the park is still open and I dont have to leave, he went on by telling me that the park wasnt closed due to the weather... But they normally closed the rides down 30min before closing to clean up. At this time I was confused by all the misleading information that I was told. The website clearly stated that 4pm-7pm is a certain price not 4-pm-6-30pm. We were there for a little under 2hours befor before we had to leave, we had the chance to go on 4 rides. I know the weather is the weather and they have no control over it but you cant provide incorrect information to someone the workers there need to be more educated with the parks policy and protocols so that they can better assist callers. So for me it wasnt worth the drive it was just a waste of time.

Muss mich leider den englischsprachigen Bewertungen anschließen. 1.

My husband, daughter and I attended Rapids on a Monday afternoon, the weekend of July 4th and we had the most terrible experience of our lives at an amusement park. Mind you we are not novices when it comes to theme parks and how chaotic they may be and some of their unusual rules and regulations, weve been visiting both Disney in Orlando and CA for over 30 years now. After waiting in line for over 35 minutes we finally get to the top of Big Thunder. Its hot, it smells like urine everywhere, people are rude...both attendants and patrons yet were still excited to finally sit down and enjoy the ride. As myself and daughter sit an attendant decides to say to my husband, "sir, could I speak with you?" Ok he says, she then states that she does not think he is "safe enough" for the ride and is requested to weigh himself in front dozens and dozens of patrons to prove that he is under the weight limit. My husband is not a small man but is no where near exceeding the 250 lb limit. After he politely states he knows his weight and proceeds to relay that information to the attendant she then says "well I guess you wont have a hard time proving it." He was then asked to wear a yellow wristband all day to again prove he did not exceed the weight limit. This is completely humiliating and degrading. My 9 year old daughter was in tears because of this. How in the world do you as a company think this is an acceptable process? Oh and lets also talk about your service shall we? After the debacle on the smelly urine filled ride, my daughter decided she was some how not nauseated enough to eat. We then proceed to one of the bars to order chicken tenders and an ice water. You charge $3 for a cup on water that more than likely comes from an hose and the wait for the chicken tenders was over 40 minutes. Completely ridiculous. We are not cheap people however we believe in value. We spent over $200 for a family of three at your park and not a penny was worth it.

This is a fun, classic water park. Having been to all the major water parks in Florida I can safely say Rapids has the best rides with a great variety to choose from for everyone, plus a very good lazy river and wave pool. After Wet n Wild in Orlando closed (RIP) weve been trying to find a new water park home and this place kind of reminded me of it. Where they may lack in theming they make up for it with thrilling rides. We had a great time here but the chaotic beginning when we first arrived kept me from rating it a full 5 stars. First of all the parking people were unfriendly and did a poor job explaining how to get my free parking pass which comes with the annual pass I had purchased online. Then after standing in line for 10 minutes to get my annual pass I was instructed to just go right up to the gate only to be told by the people at the gate that I was suppose to get my pass at the window I was just waiting in line for. Luckily I was allowed in and told I can get my pass later, but either Im slow or no one knew what they were talking about. Once we got settled in though we had a perfect day. It was a crowded Saturday in July as to be expected but there were still plenty of seats available if you know where to look, especially across the bridge in the Splash Attack area (I believe thats what its called). Most of the employees inside the park were friendly including the lifeguards. Plenty of food options to choose from plus a lovely little tiki bar right by the wave pool. Cant bring your own food inside but they have picnic tables right outside the front gate for guests to use. Wish they had speakers by the pool for music but now Im just nitpicking, overall this was a very good experience and Im looking forward to visiting again a few more times this summer even though we live 2 1/2 hours away. Its much more enjoyable than the Central Florida water parks if youre a thrill seeker like us so I feel like its worth the drive!
