I go see movies here all the time I have only had two bad experiences, seems like their staff is not very knowledgeable, First time I went to see Mockingjay part one they printed the ticket and I walked up the escalator The usher instructed me to go to the theater number that was on the ticket and which way to go The theater entrance marquee said something different I asked one of the ushers and he said this was incorrect they instructed me that someone mustve put the wrong information up on the marquee and the ticket was correct I went into the theater that the ticket was marked for sat there for about five or 10 minutes until I realized that it was the wrong movie I walked out into the hall and down to where the marquee read Mockingjay part one, by the time I got to my seat I had missed 10 minutes of the beginning of the movie Second time I went to see 3D iMax Star Wars the force awakens at 10 AM on Monday dont think the staff was very awake that time either because I went to the concession counter time is running short so I asked him for a medium popcorn and handed him a box of candy I handed him my credit card and he charged me then he walked to go get the popcorn when he returned he had a medium drink cup, I instructed him that I asked for popcorn not a drink he went and got the popcorn when he returned he said he had to charge me extra for the popcorn I handed him my credit card again and he could not figure out how to charge me the extra amount like I said time is running short so luckily I had two dollars in my wallet so I gave him the two dollars and he gave me my change and I made it into the theater just in time to catch the movie starting All in all this is a great theater just the staff needs a little bit of improvement Maybe they should hire a better day time manager

Very nice theaters with a good selection of titles. Expect a great picture. If you are not experiencing a great picture take my advice. If you are at this AMC theater the picture should look exceptionally sharp and bright. If it doesnt look amazing turn around and see if the image coming out of the projector is double and stacked. If it is I recommend seeing the customer service desk during or after the show. You are being severely shortchanged on a great theater experience because the projectionist is shooting a 2D movie with the 3D projector without resetting up the projector for 2D. This cuts the brightness of the image down 60 percent. And thats awful because when the projectors are set up properly here they are some of the best in Los Angeles. This has happened twice and once in the ETX theater while watching Xmen and just last month with Immortals which was so dark that it was almost unwatchable. If you see one of the reps or a manager they will probably give you a pass to see something else. They are fully aware of this problem and apologetic. But it is a pain to set up properly and sometimes they just dont bother. Tickets are overpriced but this can be mitigated by buying passes at Costco or going for their AMC Stubs card program. They have cut the price of this down to 6 dollars so it can pay off fairly quickly. That may have been a special price for that month or this location so hopefully it is still the case. Its a good theater for those living in the San Fernando Valley. Kudos to the small statured guy behind the customer service desk. He is amazingly a professional and a great asset to the AMC theater. I always know I will be treated right by him.

Got kicked out for complaining about the sound being dangerously loud, said I was causing a disturbance after the second complaint. Bought tickets from their website and they didnt scan right at the entry. The 20 minute commercials were out of focus so bad the text was illegible. The trailers started and had many people holding their ears. Children were in there. Went to the lobby and complained and wasnt the only one and was told they would fix it. After two more trailers and 10 minutes it was still not fixed, I went back out and went to the rope and called out to the customer service desk it wasnt fixed, do they care? They shrugged. I went back to the theater and the movie was starting. Some girl and 3 security guards came and demanded to talk to me outside from my seat. The movie was starting and I asked if they fixed the sound, they demanded to talk to me outside. I said either kick me out or let me watch the movie. She said she was going to kick me out and disturbed everyone watching the movie. The security guard piped in and said I couldnt yell in the lobby. Maybe I did? My ears were ringing from the damaging audio that they NEVER FIXED. The manager Erica said she had been "processing a transaction" rather than dealing with our safety and would take care of it eventually if I hadnt had to be kicked out and she had to be there for that. Took them 10 minutes to process the refund while I stood in the lobby surrounded by security. Absurd, embarrassing and if they dont care about simple safety like hearing damage, I will never visit an AMC again. I worked in movie theaters as a projectionist. Safety and health concerns should be #1 !

My first choice for going to see a movie. With 16 screens there is plenty of choices to pick from at any given time. They have the IMAX screen available as well as the new AMC Prime theatre with sofa recliners and all the cool comfy experience with amazing sight and sound in one of their bigger screen theatres. Parking can be tricky specially on a weekend. Although there are 3 or 4 large parking structures they all serve a large area of shops, restaurants and entertainment just be mindful and think ahead for your plans to work out and not get there rushing at the last minute. They have few choices for you to purchase your tickets. Over the phone, On-line and at the Box office window or the automated machine just off to the side of the box office which can be very convenient so you dont have to wait in line. Just as it should be expected, there will be big crowds, lines and concession stands that are full of people trying to get their pop corn but this should be expected to of a movie theatre located at a busy area as this one. The concession area has gotten very large in the recent years with many new additions. Hot food, Pizza, Hot Dogs, and I believe there was Hot Wings as well as the usual, Popcorn, nachos, sodas and all the usual sweets. Depending on the time and day you go, there might be a line for the show you are watching so be sure to ask at the box office if your movie has a line and where it will be located/ Overall this is a fun place and very convenient place to have a movie experience and I been going there as far as i can remember an will continue to go

This theater is going to hell these days. I was there last night and it was one problem after the another. First their automated box office machines were not working. This happens all the time as they do not stay on top of these. Always out of paper to print tickets etc. Then I get in line to buy food. Firstly the employees are always too busy talking to each other back there while they are supposed to be getting your food items. The wait times are horrendous. Then they say their cooker is broken (again). I have heard this quite a few times. So no hot food. So then I order Nachos. "Oh we are all out of nachos". This is a Thursday evening people. They should not be out of anything. Then I go to the soda machines and not a single one had ice. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? After all of this, I go to sit in the theater and the movie is 15 minutes late starting. I go to tell the management and when they saw me coming out of the theater a smart ass employee says, "Uh yeah we know, we have someone looking into it". He said it very sarcastically. Every employee there needs to be fired especially the piss poor management. AMC you need to get it together or you will go out of business eventually. The AMC 16 is becoming one of the worst movie experiences I have ever dealt with. Perhaps its time to go back to Arclight.
