First time playing here. Course was in very nice shape, greens especially. Rough was a little long. Sand traps had actual soft sand in them and were groomed. Got an online deal and well worth the money. Will definitely play here again. The other thing I liked was you didnt have pay a county "membership" fee like a lot of courses up here in North Jersey. Cons - Pace of play a little slow but not awful. Played on a Wednesday and teed off at 8am and finished the round in about 4:40. Would have liked to have seen some longer par 3s. I think 2 of them were playing under 100 yards.
Ive played many courses in NJ. This is by far the worst experience Ive had. My first suggestion is you DO NOT play this course. However, if you do elect to play, make sure your life insurance is paid and DO NOT plan on being home for dinner. We left after 9 holes and it took 3.5hrs with multiple close calls from sideways shots. At one point there were 4 groups on one tee, the Rangers advice to us was, if you are a good player, go join a country club!! Needless to say save yourself the aggravation and play elsewhere!
This place is not worthy of a $70 price tag. The tre boxes and fairways are in poor shape. The rough is basically unmowed weeds. And it just isnt that nice. Its worth $50 tops. The one thing about this course which makes it a unplayable is that the layout is terrible. Its a shooting galley with far too many tee shots aimed at where people are expected to be standing. Also the jerks that play this course walk into other fairways without care and steal balls. Real morons up around here. SKIP IT.
Only played here once and that was enough. They desperately need a marshall driving around. On the 18th a member of my group hit onto the 10th coming towards us. I apologized to the gentlemen who were in their late 40s and as soon as I drove away they decided to retaliate and hit at us. The staff didnt seem to care about this and that tells me everything I need to know about how they do business. For the price, youre better off going to somewhere else. Meadows, work on your craft a little harder.
The course wasnt so bad. We went on a Saturday morning and the guy at the front desk was nice. However, it seems the "locals" that come to this course get the upper hand. When we went the people behind us were rushing us meanwhile people in front of us were on the green. The so called ranger was telling us to hurry up and hit the ball meanwhile people were still on the green. If we wouldve drove our ball we wouldve ended up hitting them. Other than that the course was okay.
Its certainly no Pebble Beach, and the staff can be a little abrupt at times...but if you are looking for a cheap round of golf at reasonable prices, this is the place to go. The place fills up very fast in the morning, but even during the summer you can usually walk up and play a round in the evening with no tee time scheduled. RECOMMEND bringing a GPS or rangefinder, because the course is MUCH shorter than the signage indicates.
Front 9 is very tight the back 9 is more open. I would have given it 4 stars but the T times are booked too close together and someone always pushing you to speed the game up. I have had people actually drive by our group and start playing the next hole when we were on the fairway. Other than that the greens need more attention and some of the T boxes you cant even stick your T into the ground because its so hard.
I made four prepaid tee times from an online offer. Unfortunately, I had to schedule knee surgery and couldnt make the tee times. When I called the course they were not accommodating and said that they couldnt reschedule my tee times. Very abrupt with me and not very cordial.
Decent course. Friendly staff. I havent played here in a couple years because of how backed up it gets when its crowded. Just played here recently. Wasnt too bad. I would still get a fairway marshall to drive around. Tee boxes could use more upkeep. Flat course for most part
Nice course. Only a par 70 and not very long, but it was in good shape and played well. Only complaint is that they stagger their tee times too closely together so we found ourselves constantly waiting on the tee box.
Not well taken care of. Ball marks throughout greens. Nothing to help replace divots. No marshals to help play time . Saw 7 people putting on one green. On scale of 1-10 maybe a 5. Certainly could be better.
It might be a north jersey thing, but the holes were very close to one another. Im not one to always hit down the fairway either. Id only go back if I had to. The greens werent in good shape either.

A mud hole most of the year with mosquitoes. It is built in a flood zone and it shows. They tried to fix it up, but you cant change the location.
Not worth $70.00 by any means. Slow pace, mediocre maintenance and poor layout. Good course to play on when others are booked. Staff was good.
This is what happens when you dont have a starter. This place was at such a slow pace of play it was brutal, thats on a monday am no outting.
A little packed and holes are tight. But great golf. Had a good time and the pace picked up. A lot of wildlife going on too...lol
Like the course fair prices, only 2 miles from my office. love to play 9 on Friday evenings. such a great way to end the day ....

NFL coach in this area for over eight years and I think this is one of the best short public course in the area! Great price!
The course is pretty short and not too challenging however the groundskeeper keeps the course maintained.
I play here all the time with my friends. Good place to go have fun even when your not the best golfer
Bargain course, not the best or toughest, but a good way to spend a day away from work
Great first round of the year type course.
Good golf course, easy short. Nice bar
Great course at a great price.
Good day. Well paced.
Great golf and staff
