I prefer Marcus Orland Park because of the comfortable seats but also because of the fact that they get some of the good quality movies that AMC Schererville does not get until later. For instance the movie "Jackie" has played at Marcus Orland for the past two weeks. Ive called AMC Schererville to find out when its playing there and can never get an answer! The armrests at AMC are hard, no padding at all. Totally outdated.Edit: went there yesterday, April 26, 2017. Theyve done away with the small size popcorn, now its only medium or large. The medium was $8.01 with tax and is more than I want. Stuff like this will keep me at home watching movies on TV!

I have read other reviews on this location and Im scratching my head about their experiences. I live probably 7 min from Marcus in Chicago Heights, but I prefer to make the 25 min drive on weekend mornings to AMC 16 and/or 12 because I know the staff will be courteous and the crowd will be sparse, and the tickets are really cheap. I rarely patronize the concessions stand, so I cant speak to the cost or quality, but I can tell you, Im in no hurry to return to Marcus, even with their upgrades. It just seems so crowded nowadays with kids, especially after their upgrade. And you couldnt pay me to go there (Marcus) on $5 Tuesdays.

Its nice and close and so good that its the only place I ever go to see a movie. And getting a price break at an off-peak time was always good, if theyre still do that. And I still remember going to see the best movie in the world when I was a kid and having an eleven foot tall adult sit in front of me (okay, so it seemed like it to me at the time), so stadium seating is still the best thing since sliced bread, lol. I would like to see all the movies listed together on the web though, and all the times for 12 & 16 listed together for each movie title. But a very small point.

I just spent the evening watching a movie at Marcus theater in Chicago heights rather then going here witch is 5 min away from my house and Marcus is 30. I will never go to this theater again! Not only is Marcus far more comfortable with big spacious reclining chairs and clean but the concessions is less and has a bigger selection. They will actually serve u at your seat and refill your drinks but tickets also are less! Dont bother going here take the drive it is well worth it! Marcus is so much better then this place.

There were babies crying and the mother didnt leave with them. I tried telling the employees but they didnt do crap. They just told her to hush her babies. The chocolate bar at SHELL gas station is cheaper than at AMC, so I snuggle them in my hat. They also told me to take off my hat and mask even though it was cold in there. They also said that I cant go there just for the arcade even though I probably put in more money than the other people in line.

Although this theater has become a little outdated compared to other AMC locations it is still nice and cozy. The theater has changed much since I worked here years ago when it was owned by Kerasotes. The staff and service is usually nice, fast, and friendly. I do wish AMC would upgrade this theater like some of their other locations with a dine-in option and reclining seats as a feature as well.

This theater really sucks. I did work there for a short time even, the people that work there generally dont care at all, dont do their jobs, and are unfriendly. Of course, theres a few good people there, such as the manager, Stan. Go to Cinemark, save yourself having a bad time interacting with any of the staff and receiving poor to average service.

Shitiest place ever. Service sucked and employees top that off their so called "rules" are stupid alone. If you bought a ticket of a rated R movie they shouldnt be checking you ID for your age again if i paid for the movie im going to watch that movie. If there was a possibility i would give this place zero stars it doesnt deserve one single one.

They need to put in more comfortable seats like the Marcus theaters have. Seats here are very uncomfortable and you have almost no leg room. I highly recommend taking the extra 10 minute drive to go to the Marcus theater in Chicago Heights. With comfortable leather seats and ample leg room it makes Showplace 16 look like a dump.

For the second time a year I ordered tickets online through their website with my stub card and couldn’t get into the movie because it was over sold. This has become rediculous. I understand first come first serve basis for seating but when there are 15 people looking for a seat and there are 5 left there is a problem.

Overpriced food and drinks are always in every theater.. but the bathrooms are always clean, the food is good, the theaters are cleaned after every showing, and the staff are always accomodating and pleasant. Plus if they run out of theaters there is always their sister AMC down the street; its smaller but same deal

Spent my Friday nights in high school at this place, back when it was called Kerasotes Showplace 16 (yeah, what a name). An okay theater, fine really. It 1996 or whenever it opened, the fact that it had stadium seating (and an amazing student discount) made it the hottest ticket in town.

Their ticket prices are high and the concession prices are outrageous. Over $20 for 1 pretzel and a drink! Goodrich is $6.99. A refill of popcorn is $12! Goodrich under $1. We were waiting to enter the theater because the room was getting cleaned, but when we entered it was filthy.

Its always hot in the theatres I have actually begun to ask the to turn the air up right after I get my seats. The concession prices are OUTRAGEOUS. AMC is never really as clean, whether it be bathrooms, lobby, or the theatre for the price you pay if everything else.

When you get to a movie 25 minutes early and because of all the"premium" members you sit down late to the movie without snacks because without a "PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP" you will have to wait to purchase tickets and by snacks until "PREMIUM members are waited on.

Clean and friendly. Make sure you know which AMC youre going to, as there are two theaters right next to each other. One of them may still have kiddee matinees on Tuesdays. Anyhow, flavored sodas and self serve butter for your popcorn are a nice touch.

Last time I went it smelled like sewage they only bonus was they gave us our money back. Almost left the movie midway. Basically its out of date and needs to be redecorated and the IMAX is a joke screen is so small compared to others!

The older of the two Showplace theatres. Showplace 12 has much newer interior, newer theatre rooms, and more comfortable seating. The prices are about $11 for an adult ticket $6 matinee, discount with student ID.

Showplace 12 and 16 also provide a good experience when going out for a movie, but compared to Goodrich theaters, AMC could learn a lesson on service. Otherwise, my favorite popcorn is servez here.
