I spent a total of two months in the Wekiva Falls KOA last winter in two different stays. I loved it. I plan to go back there for three or four months next winter. The place is clean, well-managed and a nice place to be. I read the negative reviews shown below but have to wonder what RV resort they are writing about. The Wekiva Falls KOA is the largest KOA in the United States and appears to be one of the most well-maintained ones as well. The worst thing I can say about Wekiva Falls KOA is that the locals sometimes come in on Friday and Saturday nights, spend time swimming, watching ball games on TV, and drinking beer. They were never very rowdy when I was there although occasionally they were up late and talking a bit loudly. Some weekends were louder than other weekends. HOWEVER, all the nighttime talkers seemed to be confined to the the area near the camp store. On my first stay, I was very near the camp store for two weeks and was disturbed one night by loud talking. It was always quiet on Sunday through Thursday evenings, however. On my second stay for six weeks, I camped further away from the camp store and never had a problem. It was quiet all the time. The south side of the campground (the cheaper, non-premium sites) was always quiet seven nights a week during my stay. The campers in the non-premium sites were almost all senior citizens and were very quiet. If you are not into watching sports on TV and drinking beer with your buddies, Id suggest you ask for a camping spot further away from the camp store. I see that the Wekiva Falls web site says "Wekiva Falls KOA has decided to incorporate a 55+ Community into our park! We will be designating 250 of our sites to this new area." I plan to ask for this 55+ Community on my next stay.

This is our 2nd yr doing the summer special, 15 nights of great RV camping. Honestly the atmosphere last year was a bit of a drag on the weekends, not family friendly at all. We live so close though and did the summer spec this yr, we only would visit our site during the week as its a completely different atmosphere, quiet peaceful. Honestly, this year what a change we saw during the weekend. The is no more parking around the lagoon, and I feel bad for the families that have to walk with their families/coolers etc down to the lagoon, but we cant put a price on a childs life. The cars belonging to drunk drivers have now been replaced by children of all ages riding bikes and skateboards, the drunks fighting and arguing around the prior parking area has now been replaced with babies and young children playing with "toy" water hydrant sprinklers, plastic balls, and bubbles. The picnic tables littered with booze is now filled with family friendly fun atmosphere, grills, and childrens laughter. The drug smoking idiots in the lazy river area are now replaced with deputys walking the grounds and families with children camping along that area. Theres a great secret I am going to share that most dont know about the park, take your kids out for a ride about 10pm, they may just see wildlife that you cant truly see at the theme parks. Bottom line, the park has made some wonderful changes and there is so much more to come. Keep up the great work Wekiva Falls Resort and thank you for getting it, the families that visit and that will visit are mentally vesting in your park area when they provide feedback. Listen to it, build from there.

Third summer in a row we have stayed, and this will probably be our last... We made reservations in February for a Specific Site... when we arrived for our month long stay in May, we were told that the site we reserved was not available. I showed my reservation confirmation confirming the specific site. After a lot of back and forth, they did accommodate us by putting us on a premium site at no additional charge... The site was great and we had a great time... but .... the hose bib was broken, we had to hook up to the neighbors water (thank goodness they were not there the entire time) We told the office about this and it was never fixed. On our last weekend- the landscapers were cutting the grass on a Saturday morning at 7 am. Needless to say, we were sound asleep until they woke us up! On Sunday, as we prepared to pack up and leave, my husband proceeds to dump the holding tanks. He notices that the landscapers had cut our sewer hose with a weed eater and the holding tanks were dumping on the ground... He called the office and one of the maintenance guys came out - took some pictures and told us the office will take care of you. When we checked out, the office had been made aware of the issue with the sewer hose. We were told that they would contact the landscape company, Girard, and that the landscaping company would then contact us to reimburse for the sewer hose. We have not heard from Girard as of today.3 weeks ago.... Why should we have to deal with the landscape company? The RV resort should have handled this internally and dealt with the landscape company... Not a Happy Camper!!!
