Harkins Theater Mountain Grove in Redlands, CA is truly a state of the art experience. They offer luxurious stadium seating complete with power reclining and soft leather trim. The screens are sharp and the sound is breathtaking (literally). They also offer the option to go online and reserve your tickets ahead of time, with the ability to see the floor plan for your theater and choose the exact seats you would like. This also helps with being able to see how crowded the theater might be and how many seats have already been taken/sold. The staff is courteous and very helpful. They have a bar in the lobby for the grown-ups and even offer child care for only the cost of a kids admission ticket. The snack bar has plenty to choose from and offers very reasonable prices that wont break the bank. They offer a loyalty program with drink cups that if you save and bring back with you on your next visits, you can get refills for only $1.25 for the rest of the year. Another option is to purchase a loyalty shirt that gets you a free medium popcorn every time you wear it to the theater in the same calendar year. The bathrooms are also well kept as is the entire property. The crown jewel of the theater is the Cine 1 auditorium. This hall boasts a massive 80 foot screen with state of the art laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound that is sure to leave you impressed regardless of what movie you choose to see. It is a perfect fit for action and science fiction/fantasy films as they tend to have fast moving scenes with elaborate sound effects. The movie theater was really nice and spacious. The reclining seats were also pretty awesome and they have different toppings for you popcorn and you can add your own butter, which is nice. However I got there 10 minutes before they opened and we had a question about a movie. There was a young man inside on the ticket booth and my husband approached him to ask a question. The man stopped my husband mid sentence and told him he could not talk to him until 9am. We told him it was just a question and that we were not trying to buy tickets, but he said it was the companys policy to not speak to a customer until 9am. We were baffled. Either this guy was lying to us or Harkins does have this policy and if so, that was a terrible customer experience on my part. A company should do everything they can to help a polite customer, especially if they just had a simple question. Needless to say, our question was never answered because I promptly walked over to the electronic ticket sales machine and purchased my tickets, successfully avoiding talking with the young man that had pissed me off before 9am in the morning.

I was looking forward to trying this place and last week finally had my chance. I thought Id make it a date night for me and my girl, (dinner , movie etc.) Well when we get there we get our drink and snacks. But immediately I start feeling very ill.... (I wound up having food poisoning from our dinner spot) but we left as soon as our movie started up and I asked if I could have an exchange for another day. The customer service rep said they dont issue out refunds because we feel sick. I understand it is a place of business, but have some damn compassion. I was really looking forward to this place but luck just wasnt my friend but the lady was giving me a look like I was faking it. .... I usually would have asked the manager to handle my situation but because I couldnt handle my current sick feeling very well I needed out of there and fast. Please change the attitudes of your staff because this is a very beautiful looking spot. But I can see you shutting down real soon because lack of customer service and satisfaction. -disappointed customer

For a long while there was only one theater to go to in Redlands, so once Harkins opened I was very eager to see how it would be. I was completely blown away! First, how great is it that you get to pick your seats ahead of time? No more camping for hours to see midnight premieres, only to go into the theater exhausted from the long wait. The seats are incredibly comfortable and provide you with a lot of space - they recline, you dont have to worry about people putting their feet up on the back of it or bumping it when they get up. The aisles are big so you dont have to shimmy past everyone or stand up for people to pass. Best of all, they dont tolerate cellphones or obnoxious movie-goers. Theres even a daycare center for people to drop their kids off at (why doesnt every theater have that? Seriously amazing). Just last week we decided to try their Cine1 Theater - WOW. Completely worth the extra amount! The sound, the screen, the atmosphere - this is what going to the theater to see a movie should feel like.

Its so nice to be able to buy your tickets pick your seat and show up 1 minute after show time and know you have your seats. No long line for new movies. If you buy their signature refillable cup , you get cheap soda refills. If you buy their t shirt you get a free medium popcorn everytime you come wearing it. Upgrade to large for $1.00. Bar onsite you can take your drinks inside the theatre. Also no tipping the bartender, all gratuity is included in price of the drink. The bar tender will tell you the same. Great place to see a movie with reclining seats. Mountain Grove is a great complex plenty of places to grab a bite or desert after or before movie or do some shopping at the next door complex with target, world market, famous footwear, kohls just to name a few...

This theatre is a huge upgrade from Krikorian down the street, or any theatre within 100miles! The lines are short, they offer credit/debit kiosks for tickets too. Snacks, popcorn and drinks are priced similar to other theatres, like $7 for a large drink etc... Ticket prices are well worth it, costing $1-3 more than competitors (based on different viewing times, and student and military discounts). Unique features: They have a bar in the lobby, yes, they serve alcohol and have several options. Comfy theatre seats and wide isles; the seats are faux leather, fully reclining at the push of a button. Large format screens. In my opinion, its worth every penny of the slightly steeper price to enjoy the luxury that the Harkins offers.

Absolutely Loved the new theater..the staff is super friendly and helpful in helping you find your seat. Reserving your seat is the best of all..no more hoping you find a good seat..The only Con and reason why I didnt give it 5 stars is the Bar at the entrance that killed it for me..theres no need for a bar at a family establishment. All them drinkers and alcoholics are more than welcomed to go to a bar before or after the movie, my kids or any other for the matter dont need to see adults drinking in plain view..if anything bad location for the bar..they should have hid it from plain view other than that Im very happy with the theater..did I mention I love the seats..OMG very comfy and spacious..A+++ on that for sure..
