It was awesome and ADDICTIVE. Three of my friends and I went last and it was all our first times. We were very anxious to get in and a little nervous because we didnt know what to expect. When we came in we were in awe by the room. It was so cool. The room we picked was the Jokers Trap and Alex was our GM and she was AMAZING. She answered all of our questions and made us feel very comfortable. The room was so cool and we loved the beginning interaction of being chained up. At the beginning we said we didnt want to use any clues but we ended up using all of the clues. Alex gave us nice hints that pointed us into the right direction but didnt give it away. We unfortunately did not escape in an hour but they allowed us to finish so we finished in about an hour and 10 minutes which we are still very proud of! We had so much fun that we were ready to do another one. They said they had some rooms available and we did The Cure. Andrew was our GM for this one and he was fantastic as well! I loved the way they both made it very personable and we were very comfortable talking to them before, during and after the games. The Cure had a little more of science and math to it so we really had to think. We actually escaped this one with 3 minutes to spare! We are all definitely going to come back and do all of the other rooms. We most definitely found a new girls night out adventure.

Weve visited Room Escape DC/Fairfax three times over the last year. My wife and I tried the Escape from Venus (Date Room), Dr. Panics (No longer running) and Save the White House. All 3 rooms were very fun and we were able to escape all 3 (with a little extra time and an extra clue). Weve been lucky to be able to do the other rooms by ourselves as its kind of weird to be the 7th and 8th wheel with a group of strangers. The rooms are a bit heavy on the lock side but still a lot of fun. My advice is to stay calm, realize youre there to have fun, and remember that one clue is going to lead to the next and so on. On our last visit, they mentioned they were switching/building new rooms that were going to have some more technology/live action. Highly recommend checking this out if youre in the area.

My gf and I have done 3 rooms (clown room, insanity ward, and escape from venus). We have a ton of phone here and its a great date activity, so we def. want to try all the rooms and locations (we did Fairfax). Some caveats though: 1. Always bring a small flashlight. Some of the rooms are dark and its hard to see clues. Its also unwieldy to have your smart phone flashlight on for an hour. 2. The Escape from Venus room, while a great idea for date since its just 2 people, is rather expensive. Other rooms cost like $25 a person or something like that, but this one is $80 total ($40per). My gf and I were done with 12 minutes to spare, so it is a good bit less value for your money. Still fun though

We did the Save the Whitehouse challenge with nine people. Although we encountered complications and arrived late, the staff was very helpful and accommodating. The location is convenient and the cost is very reasonable. The facility is small but expanding to include challenges for as few as one person. The room was designed so that even people without certain knowledge or skillsets could still decipher the clues using a strategically placed hints. My only concern is that we seem to have done the only challenge that was less horror-themed. Even so, I would absolutely recommend Room Escape DC for anyone looking for a fun and interactive group activity.

This place was awesome! They were super professional and welcoming. They created very good puzzles that were both challenging and creative. Although we did do "The Cure" which is rated the most difficult we were able to complete it. I honestly feel like there should be trick puzzles meant to make you waste your time, or add a different element like having a zombie chase you. Ive seen these added in other rooms before and I think it adds depth and entertainment to the game itself. Other than that the atmosphere is great, the staff is great and personable. They clearly take great pride in their work and have done and excellent job.

We had the Jokers trap ( requires a lot of thinking therefore not for beginners ). We completed the puzzles very well only reason we got stuck was because we would press the codes too fast therefore the locks wouldnt open and made us think we were wrong. At the end the young lady explained every question we had and therefore informed us we had the correct answers. She was very lovely, informative and hilarious. Shared stories and made us laugh way too much. Will most definitely come back again had a great time!! [Should book in advance for the room you want because they have a high demand on the the most popular ones]

Have only ever done two (including this one) escape rooms. We did the "Escape From the White House" room, so this review is based on that experience. This escape room was very well done, though not particularly hard. A great room for people who have never done an escape room or who might have younger age demographics in the group. We had a great time doing the room though! The staff (Jessica) was very helpful with the rules as well as the hints she provided when we got stuck. We will definitely be going back in the future! If prices were a tad lower (cost us $27/person) then we would frequent this place more often.

I went here along with my friends. First, we did Mollys horror and since that being the first time for all of us, it was really challenging and fun. Our game master was Brian and he didnt let us down. Then we wanted to try out a less difficult of a challenge and did the mid-level Dr. Pain. This was total fun and exciting if you are an intermediate. Our GM Eli was a fantastic person which made us check out the Jokers trap on the next day. This place is wonderful and so are the people there!

Its so much fun to have live room escape stuff around! These are really excellent too, great staff, real sense of fun. There was definitely a horror them to the one we played but it wasnt too spooky (a few of the others definitely seemed more in the horror line but we pucked a middle of the road one). Its awesome that adults get a chance to play something geared towards us instead of for kids, something to bring out a sense of fun and play and challenge. :)

Wow! That was reeeeeeeal fun! Been there with my work team and its been a long time since we had something that united us as much. Room Escape D.C. team is very professional. The booking system and evening working hours are super convenient as we could not come during the working hours. Definitely coming back for the White House challenge! Also they have quests for couples, so now trying to get my bf into it - great theme for a date))) Recommend!

Best room escape place Ive been to so far! We went to the asylum themed room the last week it was there and it was so fun and scary at the same time. The staff there is so funny and helpful. Definitely going back and trying the Jokers trap next! From the slideshow they had at the check-in counter, they have kid friendly versions of each room too which I think is really thoughtful of them. Great way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend
