I think is a good cinema for a small town, we live in Shakopee so is very close to home which is great! The seats are not the best in comfort, but is not a big deal, but last Sunday May 6, almost at the end of our movie the fire alarm start on, and everybody get out, nun of the employees ever got out to inform anything, so the majority of the customs went to the principal entrance for an explanation, apparently was a false alarm, so the employees invite everybody to stay, wait for the fireman’s to check the building, and finish our movies where we left, we decide to wait since was only 5 or 10 minutes left like the most for our movie, I really dont want to go back another day and watch the hole thing again,, we wait about 45 to 60 minutes; until here I completely understand, here comes the bad part! after the fireman’s were gone, they told us everybody can go back to our movies and in our way out they will give to each one of us 2 free passes for another day... anyway, we go back to our movie, seating there waiting for the movie, they never turn off the blinding flashing lights of the alarms, and in top of that after 35 minutes, they put the movie but not where we left like they promise, about 5 minutes fast forward and since was the end of the movie, we miss important scenes to understand the end, and the worse with NO SOUND!! Everybody start leaving, and when we ask for our courtesy passes, unsted of two they only give everybody one, very disappointed... =(

They are outdated in lots of areas and need serious remodeling, either the whole movie industry is going downward or its just this theatrre thats suffering. Their seats our old and make u feel like you are about to catch some kind of infection. Their service is horrible, my 3 year neice and 4 year old nephew were charged full price. They run commercials that run for 30 minutes and when i asked a refund and informed them i noticed commercials that were too long and too much they said the movie doesnt start till 12:30pm but on the website and showtimes it shows 12:00pm

I took my daughter to see Cinderella over the weekend. I wanted to support a Shakopee business but next time Im driving up to Eden Praire. The concession stand was out of half of their fountain beverages, the theater seats are not nice, and the bathroom was a disaster. Toilets that wouldnt flush, doors with broken locks, clogged sinks and overflowing garbage can. The whole experience left a lot to be desired.

This is a nice, small movie theater, kind of a throw back to what many of us remember growing up. I mean I do enjoy some of the amenities of the new "super plexes", but there is definitely a place for a place like this. Its clean, cheerful, and reasonable prices prevail. And everyone there is very friendly. Sign up as a member and get immediate freebies. Did I mention that they have great popcorn?

Cute, classic movie theater. Excellent prices, especially on Tuesdays when all movie are $5 and rewards members get free popcorn (I signed up for free that day!). The mall this theater is in is practically empty; I hope this place stays in business despite the new theater opening by Walmart in Shakopee. Ive enjoyed going to this movie theater my whole life!

As others pointed out, the seats arent the best and the theater is slightly dated, but they always have the latest and greatest movies at around half the cost. Thanks for keeping your prices reasonable! If you dont like it, feel free to drive to Eden Prairie or Lakeville and spend $12 for a movie ticket. You also cant beat $5 Tuesdays!

This place is my spot. $5.00 matinees. $7.00 always after five. $10.50 for 3D. Not as luxurious but never, ever crowded. The best fresh Orville Reddenbacher popcorn. Snacks are also a bit cheaper than AMC. Theres a dollar general in the connecting mall if you want to get your own snacks.

Cheap tickets for matinees. But this draws the street trash that kicks the back of your chair during the show. The cheap trash that talks and texts during the movie. Management has been threatened themselves! Not a safe theater. You get what you pay for at this slum theater.

The entire place reeks of cigarettes. I honestly dont know how this place passes inspection. The heaters are hanging off the walls and it looks like its never been deep cleaned. Had a great view of the dumpster though. Cords wont stay plugged into the outlets either.

A small town theatre great for a group of friends or a date. Some improvements could be done such as the seat comfort, lowered food pricings, and overall refinement of the infrastructure. Not the worst theatre nor the best Ive been to.

Its what you expect out of a small townish theater. Great prices on concessions and the movie. Chairs a little uncomfortable. But never any lines, dont have to worry if you will be able to find a seat to your movie. Recommend here

Marcus Shakopee has been my choice for going to the movies. Where else can you find $5 movie tickets on Tuesdays and $7 tickets after 5pm. Ive been to other Marcus theatres and this has yet to have the leather recliners.

Great customer service. Popcorn fresh. $5 Tuesday for latest movies is a great price. Membership/Rewards program well done and has an app version so you dont have to carry a card. Seats are out dated and rough looking.

What can I say? Its a movie theater. It isnt the nicest theater but it certainly isnt bad either. The seats are comfortable enough and the floor usually isnt sticky. Thats all I can ask for in a theater really.

Classic old school feel. The movies are cheap and close to home. It doesnt get much better than that. If you can get passed the old run down feeling you will enjoy the time with whoever your with.

Doesnt have the recliners yet, 4-5 people at concessions and only one line open, workers were just standing around talking. Decided to work when only one person left in line.

Older theater. Relatively comfortable. Ticket prices are reasonable. Concession prices not so much. Looking forward to the new Marcus Theater opening soon in Shakopee.

Smaller town cinema that plays all the new movies. The seats arent the best and could use some new padding but overall a nice theater.
