My experience at Scream Forest was great. This was the second year in a row that I have been here. I went with a group of 5 others and myself on OCT 12, Friday night around 8pm (the lines are very short on Friday). We used a coupon for $6 off of the trail and the hayride combo which ended up being $24. We started with the hayride. We sat with about 30 people on a trailer while the tour guide sat in front telling us "the story of Scream Forest" Personally I thought I got a better tour guide last year, she was actually an elderly lady that did a wonderful job! This year we had some man who kept getting the story mixed up, but he had great crowd interactions. During the hayride there were things almost falling on you, things jumping out at you, spiders, skeletons and a lot of CHAINSAWS! Then Scream forest, we waited in line for maybe 15 minutes and we were able to go through the woods in a group of 6. We had the biggest guy in our group up front and he almost wet himself! There were many shed type things to walk through, flashing lights, and my favorite was the shed room that was filled with green smoke, you would walk through the room not being able to see a single thing then out of no where, there was a face just sitting there, inches in front of you! He wouldnt move, just watched you walk past. CREEPY! Overall Scream Forest is my favorite Haunted House in the Richmond area. My second favorite was Hunts Club Farms in Virginia Beach (aside from the wait lines)!

What a great time! We had a ball on the hayride riding down into the woods. Its cool to have a bunch of friends together and not be split up into tiny groups. The storyteller on our wagon was Dolly, and she was great! She really mixed scary and funny throughout the whole ride. Very, very talented. The story line is really detailed, which makes the scenes in the woods that much better. The hayride part is fun/scary, but not so much as to rattle the kids. Scream Forest, on the other hand, is really intense. The woods are dark and close, and the trail is curvy. As a result, youre constantly running up on new scenes and characters before you realize it. On the hayride back to the front after we had finished the haunted house at Scream Forest, we talked with some girls that were in front of us, and they were still freaked out! Creepy Hollow and Scream Forest are a great value for the money. You get two hayrides (one really long through the woods), two shows (one scary/fun and one really intense) and real people escorting you throughout. This personal touch is what makes the difference. We loved it and will take our group back next year. Dont forget to pick up coupons at FasMart or online!

I spent my time here wondering how so many people could waste so much money at this place. The hayride made sense and was what you would expect- the only person screaming was some 4 year old in the middle who probably was annoyed as I was by the sounds of the chainsaws- really, chainsaws? Thats the best you can do? But as far as a hayride goes- pretty typical if not over priced. What turned me off was the Scream Forest. WHAT THE HELL?!? A walk through the woods where actors who arnt even well hidden pop out and scream in your ear and if they dont do that they go "OOooOOoo!" I laughed so hard at that- THATS the best you can do??? Why even waste having people in the woods if they wont even try to scare you? This is what one gets from going to some farm attraction though I guess. Its just disappointing this is the best that Richmond can offer. Blood Lake is okay, a little weak on the atmosphere side, but at least theyre cheaper than anyone else and they put up a plausible attempt to scare you. Some of their actors legitly creeped me out if not actually scared me. Plus you dont have to drive as far which is a bonus I guess.

I visited Creepy Hollow Scream Park yesterday with some friends and we were thoroughly impressed with what we experienced there. When we got there to buy tickets, the staff was courteous and our wait time in line was minimal which was great because both events lasted longer than the time we waited in line. We all did both the hayride and walking trail. I thought the narrated story on the hayride was great and the narrator did a great job telling it. The actors on the hayride did a great job because they had all of us screaming the entire wagon trip through. Next was Scream Forest which was also just as terrifying with actors scaring us in all directions. I think we actually ran through most of the woods we were screaming so much. I have been to many of the other haunts in the area and I must say this is far beyond any other one that I have experienced, even Kings Dominion. It was a lot of fun and well worth the admission price.

(Review from 2014&15 seasons) We went at 10pm on a Friday night on 10-19, and much to my surprise, it was not very crowded. Only spent about 10mins in line for the ride, which is great! The trail itself was the absolute best Ive been to in many years.. VERY well done! No stooping or crawling on the ground/floor anywhere, but plenty of pitch black creepy areas, dimly lit buildings with great effects and ghouls sneaking up behind you. The whole thing takes about 30-40mins to walk through and is worth every dime of $15 for Scream Forest alone. It is outside and in the woods, so wear appropriate shoes! The "Berry Farm" has gotten wayyy too popular in recent years.. takes hours to get in and isnt nearly as entertaining.. so do yourself a favor and check this one out!

I attended Scream Forest last night with my 13-yr old son and two friends. About 1/3 of the way through a "dead" actor accosted my son, grabbed his arm and shook it, and threatened that "my son would lose his hand if he ever threw anything again. In the darkness, noise, and confusion, the actor was mistaken - my son did not throw anything. Needless to say this ruined the rest of the event. STAY AWAY FROM SCREAM FOREST. Who knows how this will end up the next time. There are plenty of other places in Richmond where the employees will not physically accost your children.

There is no hayride this year because of where ever a hayride flipped. NOT CREEPY at HOLLOW. Next year we should have it again. I work at creepy hollow I have a blast every year
