This is a great little park. Great paths and trails, lots of different animals, lots of places to sit and eat a picnic, and overall a great vibe. The problems I have with this park is that it needs some TLC. The picnic tables need to be refinished, lots of garbage everywhere (there really needs to be more trash containers around), the bathrooms are dated and dirty (toilets and sinks are really yellow and discusting and theres no hand soap, toilet paper or hand dryers). I did see at least one dead duck in the water, upside down, which was a little disheartening. A little regular maintenance and regular cleaning would do this park some good. Its a very peaceful place to come visit, just wish it were cleaner, especially for the ducks and other animals. Would make a great project for the youth.

My boys and I love to come here to fish and let our puppy take a walk. They really enjoy hand line fishing on the south ends of the lake, there are a ton of very small, very hungry fish and you can easily catch a dozen or so in an hour. Use very small hooks and cheese or power bait with about an arms length of line, and when you pull them up just hold them close to the water and gently pry or shake them off. There are usually groups of people doing wedding, prom, or other kinds of photo shoots there as well. Great location, great park, highly recommended.

This is a cool park. It has back trails that lead to and from it. It has playgrounds, volleyball courts, bathrooms, and pavilions. The main attraction is the lake. It is a fully stocked fishing lake. Each person is limited to two fish and must have a fishing license. There are fishing docks into the lake, boat ramp for small Patel boats, grassy shores and Sandy shores. They also have a swimming area of the pond but the way is pretty cool tell mid summer.

Highland Glen is a lovely park with a beautiful pond for fishing and occasional swimming.(Though the water isnt very clear so not recommended.) There is a volleyball court, endless winding trails weaving through the trees and brush where youre likely to find deer, bunnies, birds, ducks, and raccoons. There are great pavilions with barbecue grills, and many picnic tables lost among the trees. Its a great place for family gatherings.

There is done much to love about this place and one thing to hate. There are little nooks of fun all around a lovely pond. The pond itself is great for fishing, feeding ducks, swimming, paddle boards, and small boats like kayaks and canoes. There are many picnic areas, playgrounds, a small amphitheatre, short walking trail, etc. All close to the city, but tucked away. But, you will hate the parking, so...

My wife and I discovered Highland Glen Park while biking the trails in the area. The pond allows for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. There are many trails and even a hidden waterfall. There are many picnic areas with grills, but the trees and shrubbery were not cut back when we were there (fire hazard). There a a couple playgrounds for young kids.

Awesome park! The small trail around it is very fun and I take my son with Autism there fishing at least once a week. There are no lifeguards, so I worry about the kids swimming in the non-designated areas, but it is still a warm and nice place to visit. We go there at least 3 times a week on a walk!

Gorgeous place to picnic, play, bike or ride through. There is enough to explore and do here youll want to come back: fishing, walking, hidden trail to a waterfall, paddle boarding, wading, BBQ and picnic tables, playground and beauty! Does get more crowded on holidays and weekends.

Stunning views, beautiful pond with hungry ducks to feed. Great for family walks. Popular for casual fishing...sometimes fishing line or hooks are left behind. After dark, unfortunately this park shows up on local police blotters as a meeting place of drug users/dealers.

It has a pond (ducks, fishing, etc.), access to bike trails, an amphitheater, picnic areas, volley ball net with sand, and a play ground. It is very crowded on Sundays. Restrooms in two locations. Water fountains are around but they dont work, bring your own water.

The old Adventure and Leaning Park is alive and well. Sadly, the fort, maze, and concrete tunnels are fine, but everything else is there. The pond is cleaner than it used to be, and has a nice swimming area roped off. A most excellent park.

A great place to visit year-round. In summer the shaded areas are perfect for picnics or just enjoying the pond. In winter, the ducks and fish are hungry and ready to be fed (or caught in the case of the latter).

Great place to relax; its peaceful, clean and available to reserve for your family parties. Enjoy fishing, non-engine watercraft areas, swimming, walking paths and trails in a wooded small lake setting.

Highland Glen is a perfect little get-a-way. It is a little busy at times, but is still worth going even when busy. There are lots of walking paths. Great place to bring stand up paddle boards or kayaks

This is a fun local pond to go fishing, go for a walk, feed the ducks, etc. Its on the Murdock Canal Trail, so you can ride your bike to it. In the winter, people can often be seen ice fishing.

Had a great time fishing with my boys. Small hatchery fish, and loads of people around the fishing area, but we still had a great time. Good place to paddle board.

This place rocks!! We go to feed the ducks. They eat right from your hand. Too busy to really fish I would think but you can swim here too. Awesome little park!
