I went to Vivify on Saturday with three of my friends. I had heard about a new burger lounge place in downtown Fredericksburg with a rooftop bar area and was excited to check it out. We walked straight to the rooftop bar and chose a table since it was seat yourself. We waited about five minutes and nobody was coming over to us so I went to the bar and asked for menus. They gave me the menus and I went back to the table. We picked out what we wanted and waited another ten minutes. Still nobody came to the table. So we went back to the bar to place our orders. Apparently this is the type of restaurant where you do not get service at your table. You have to order your drinks and food at the bar and get re-fills at the bar. Not a problem I just wish someone would have explained that to us. The burgers were good but the fries were really bland. My friend paid $8.00 for a dark and stormy mixed drink that was so small it was hilarious. I shared a Sangria pitcher with one of my friends for $20. It was not good at all. My husband had a can of Fat Tire (cant really go wrong there). We ordered our food together but one came out before the others and he was done eating by the time we got our food. But hey at least they brought that to the table. Again, nobody comes to check on you and make sure everything is okay or if you need anything else. The rooftop area is nice though. We went back to the bar to get our checks and cash out. I cannot believe how expensive it is for a burger and fries. We wont be going back to this place.

Ive been to Vivify 7-8 times since theyve opened and have only favorable things to say. The Pork Belly Banh Mi Sliders are incredible; The Frankenstein is delicious, and the Tater Tots are delightful. Ive never tried their burgers though. They have a great selection of both canned and draft beers and the service has been always been great. Full disclosure: Ive only eaten at either the downstairs or rooftop bars and was always met with an attentive bartender that delivered prompt service. I mention this because, otherwise, you have to order at a window and then take your seat. Ive witnessed people get confused by this for some reason and complain. The bottom line: the food is great, the staff is polite, and where else can you get a rooftop dining experience in Fredericksburg?

Vivify sticks out in Downtown Fredericksburg like a sore thumb, but in a good way! I love the "modern" look to the place, and the fact that it has a rooftop lounge is even cooler, and would be great for the summer. When I went, I just got an "All American Burger", and for what I got including the fries and drink for $8.00 was a little mediocre, but that is what you expect from a mom and pop restaurant. The food came out in about 10 minutes, and boy was the burger good! The fries were pretty salty, but I love salty fries, so that was a plus for me. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a good burger with a nice, modern atmosphere, which is a change for the area. The only complaint I have is the smaller portions, but from what I can tell, they are doing a good job!

First let me say the place is neat looking. The burgers on the other hand were just meh. It was small, the buns were cold, and the chef ketchup is just OK. I did like the mustard though. My wife did enjoy the shroom burger though but felt the same about the bun. I felt the prices were to high for the quality and portion of food that you got. I really didnt think it was better than McDonalds and not even close to the caliber of places like Five Guys. The fries were pretty good, but we got a lot of small pieces so that made it difficult to dip them in ketchup.

Disappointing. I had high hopes for this place. Eaten here three times and have been disappointed each time. The service is painfully slow. I waited on Saturday night for almost 25 minutes for a mere burger and fries. The meat is good at best, but the potato rolls they use for a bun they use are puzzling. They are flat and tasteless. The menu is poorly structured and not easy to order from. The best burger in town remains at Foode followed by Five Guys. Its a great space and location. If they can improve some things, perhaps they will stick around.

Overpriced and not worth it. My burger was raw and had to be recooked and was flavorless, the only thing that really had flavorite were the homemade pickles and those werent that great. The fries were soggy and really werent great. I dont know how people can say ita the best they have ever had. My husband said his burger was bland. My daughter also disliked her burger and barely touched her fries. The milkshakes were the best part of the meal. And considering how much it cost me for 3 meals it should have been much better.

The atmosphere was great, as were the employees, but the food left a lot to be desired. The burgers and fries were bland, which was surprising, since the burger I got came with a fried egg and pork belly. I was left feeling disappointed, and didnt finish all of my food. The price certainly does not reflect the product. I will say that the milkshakes are good, especially if you get them with booze. Ive been to similar restaurants before and this seems like just another uninspiring burger place.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! The food was less than stellar, the drink cups you get are glorified Dixie cups, and to top it all off, they charged me twice on my card for my meal. So now trying to get them to reimburse me for the charge that they messed up on has been a nightmare! DONT EAT HERE! Not worth your time or your money and they will end up trying to take more of your money than they should!

No one to greet us as came in....terrible service... greasy counter tops at bar... had to wait to order, to get check..all with very few people in place. Web site says rooftop open... we were told not till spring.... Food good for bar food... Crappy customer service.... waitress kept disappearing to back room . Wont be back.

While Vivifys milkshakes, tater tots, and mixed drinks are great, their burgers leave a lot to be desired. Every time Ive had one Ive felt like I was eating a fast food burger, the meat itself has little to no seasoning so you have to rely on the toppings to give it flavor. But milkshakes = 5 stars.

It was a really good burger, but nothing out-of-this-world. A bit pricey for what you get. I also found the place to be really slow during a time that you might expect it to be a bit busier. Not sure if that says anything about what other people think about it.

I love this place. I come all the time and Im never disappointed. The staff is friendly and courteous. A staff member wouldnt let me clear my own trash today. Not necessary at this kind of counter service place but very appreciated. Food was excellent as usual.
