I have always liked this theater, but I agree with some reviewers that the quality has declined as of late. There are many broken seats. I always have to check the seat before I select it, because you cant tell just by looking at it whether or not its going to recline just a little too far. As well, they used to have popcorn salt in small white bags that were stapled shut that you could carry with you to the theater. This was a perfect solution to people stealing salt shakers AND to having popcorn salt spread evenly through your bucket while you enjoyed your movie, instead of having it dumped on top and trying to figure out how to jostle your bucket enough to distribute it without sending popcorn onto the floor. Now its in a large container like youd buy at a warehouse store. Pours too fast. Also, they removed the jalapenos from the condiments station so you have to continue to ask the employee for MORE jalapenos, please. And, half the time, one of the butter pumps does not work properly so theres a line for butter. Management overhauled all the wrong things. They fixed things that werent broken, and havent fixed things that are. I hope it turns around soon.

I have been to a lot of movies at Creekside over the last several years, and have only one issue with the venue. But first, the good - the staff is friendly, the entire facility is well maintained and clean, from the entry to the theaters to the restrooms. The movies start on time, the video and audio are all crisp and clear, and their staff clean out each theater after each showing, all as you would expect of a quality theater. The theater is a little bit on the cool side, but better that than too warm. The theaters are of the stadium type with reclining seats. Now - my one issue - the reclining seats dont quite have enough resistance in them. Its easy to end up either sprawled back so youre straining your neck forward to watch the movies, or youre using your abdominal muscles to sit upright while the seat is trying to recline you. Perhaps this is only an issue because of my age (late 60s), but a little more firmness in the seats would make my viewing experience perfect. Id give Creekside 4 1/2 stars if I could, but had to choose either 4 or 5, and so picked 4 because of the seats, and nothing else.

Not planning to return. This is my second time to take my grandkids who live in new braunfels to the movies here and both times the experience was really poor. Both times it proved Impossible to buy tickets online and took 15 minutes to wait to buy them in person. The computer system was down both times and this time the person selling tickets kept making unhelpful and confusing comments. While I was buying tickets a person in line started yelling because apparently the ticket seller told me something different than she had told that person earlier. What a mess! This set our schedule back since we planned to eat before the movie. Last time we made a clutch decision to eat at the theatre so we were assured of seats. The food was really bad so this time we ran to a nearby sandwich place which meant we had good food but ended up on the front row. Once we got in the theatre things were fine and the movie was fun but in this age of online tickets and reserved seating Creekside Evo is making it too hard to keep them on my list of options.

We have been going here for years and like the location, pricing, quality of service, etc. but over the last 4 months or so the quality has been steadily declining. There are broken seats everywhere, if the chair is not marked broken then when people sit in front of me their head is literally between my legs. The popcorn has more kernel shells in it then before and they put the popcorn salt in a bulk container which any snot-nosed kid can stick his hand it (dumb move). They took the movie posters off the wall - which is weird for a movie house. Then they changed there computer system so at the ticket booth all the movie are squeezed onto one screen so you need a magnifying glass to see the titles & start times. The bathrooms have always been so-so -- not bad -- not good. If management changed then they need to change it back quick because the current trend is bad.

My mom took my son to see Dispicable Me 3 this afternoon for his birthday. They bought tickets, popcorn, candy, and got settled in the theater to watch the movie. Shortly before it began, the manager came in and told them that they would no longer be showing the movie. My mom and son were the only two in the theater and I guess they couldnt be bothered to run the movie. My son was so heartbroken, and the manager couldnt have cared less. Called the draft house down the road and they assured me that they show their movies whether there is a packed house or just one person. They were horrified by the treatment my family received, and went above and beyond to make his birthday memorable. We will definitely be going to the draft house from now on.

Like many reviews, needs an update. I understand that this was just sold to a larger company. Seriously need to review the previews. They show TNT commercials for upcoming seasons of TV shows. Some of them are inappropriate for kids to include the movie previews. We are going there to see PG13 movies (with kids/young teenagers) and we dont need to see rated R portions of the previews. A room full of kids and you see naked (with blurred out areas) and dropping the F bomb for a PG and PG13 movie is not what we want to see or hear. I talked to one of the Managers, he said theres a slim chance of changing this, but he will bring this up to his manager. He knows theres an issue.

Movie starts at 11:05 Doors still closed at 10:47, people lining up outside! Wrong! Unlike other theaters, no ticket windows or machines outside, Wrong! Doors open at 10:50, and there are only two ticket registers....Movie starts at 11:05,Wrong! Then at 11:00, have Tickets, Line even longer at the TWO concession registers! Wrong! This is the worst layout and Management I have ever seen! Seats are made for small narrow asians, like airline seats....wrong, this is the United States and we the people are not getting smaller....stupid....WRONG! First time here and last time here!!! Very poor idiotic Management!

Guys, this is solely for the quality of the movie that we just watched! It started at 9:30 pm, Sunday July 16, 2017. I come to the cinema since i want to enjoy it in high quality, and i can reassure you, the animation was at 480p quality, wasnt HD even. I kindly asked an employees to make it, since you know when you watch on Youtube, sometimes it can change quality, thought something like that, but since dont know i kindly asked, and they said they will ask manager, but nothing changed! Again guys, this review is solely for the quality of the animation, nothing else!

In my honest opinion, I love this theater. Very clean, amazing staff and management, affordable ticket prices, concession and very reasonable in terms of pricing and the seats are very comfortable. 1$ Hotdogs on Tuesday (i believe anyways) AND in the summer then play kids classics like finding Nemo and Toy Story for next to nothing for tickets! Amazing place, amazing Staff, amazing experience!
