My six year-old son and I visited on a Monday morning and we went through just about everything there was to do in less than two hours. I was concerned it would be a nightmare based on what others said in their reviews but it wasnt bad. It wasnt good either. Price - I paid just over 30 for both of us to go, which is more than I would have liked to pay. Most of the stuff is for kids only so paying the same price for an adult to sit around and watch is iffy at best. Rides - Overall, the facility is in good condition. There are three rides available. The 1st ride is something like an interactive haunted house but you have a little pistol with a laser so you can shoot targets and interactive displays. That was probably the most fun an option available for adults, although some of the interactive displays didnt work at all or at least not fully. The 2nd ride is a for kids only and its small electric cars on a track. The track is a figure eight with the middle blocked so its more of an oval with a squeeze into the middle. My son had a lot of fun driving the car although his quit working occasionally. Nothing amazing but he had fun. The 3rd ride had several cars in a circle with one and adult and one kid for each sled-type vehicle. Its a Harry Potter theme and each rider pedals to raise the their sled height. Nothing amazing but the interactive feature was a bit of a novelty. Displays - There were some pretty cool buildings and random scenes made from Legos. Quite a few used non-Lego pieces but some were almost exclusively made from Legos. One area had Star Wars themed sets and that was pretty good, although the interactive display was broken on one and closed for maintenance on the other. The downtown Dallas model was pretty neat, as was the DFW mockup. The Cowboys and Rangers stadiums were both done quite well and I liked those. Again, interactive displays were hit or miss on functionality or whether they did much of anything. Other things - theres a nice area for young kids to play with Duplo style blocks. Its just a ton of loose bricks, which was one of the more fun things available. However, theres a ton of people there and you have to wait for space to open up so you can jump in. Youll get a random bratty kid who takes your creations or liberates any spare blocks you have piled up next to you for use. There is an indoor jungle gym/play area and my son enjoyed that for a bit, but apparently kids were even worse when they were beyond their parents eyes. He left there pretty quickly and wasnt really happy about it. Lastly, theres a couple ramps where you can build and race cars. That was fun but some kids were terrors again. One pulled a car out of my sons hand and ran off with it! No parent in sight... Overall - the place was relatively clean, which isnt really something I want to see when theres a ton of kids running around. Some of the bricks and exhibits were visibly dirty, which is a big concern for me. My son and I got lucky with timing because we didnt have to wait in lines very much at all, but it got busy fast when a daycare came in and more families showed up. Lines got really long, the noise level went even higher, and bratty children were shoving each other to get in front of each other. At the front desk when we checked in, the music was so loud that the employees couldnt understand me very well until I raised my voice. I dont think this place is worth $30 so I can watch my kid play some. If we went on a busy day, this place would have been hell. Once was enough for both of us!

Legoland/Sealife Trip 5.15.17 I had been planning this trip for a few months, waiting until the opening of Pirate Beach to purchase tickets. Legoland posted on their Facebook page that PB would be open for the season on 5.13.17; I purchased tickets for Monday, 5.15.17. Legoland posted on an EVENT page they created for the opening day of Pirate Beach (a week AFTER they had made the original post about opening day) that they were postponing the opening another week and deleted the Facebook page post about the original opening date. So the one attraction I had been most excited about for my kids (6 & 4) we werent able to experience. And I didnt find out until the day before because I had not seen the event page. I picked a Monday so as to not deal with large weekend crowds. Our ticket time was 11AM. We still had to wait in line. There were 3 different school districts there (one of which had kids that seemed too old to be at Legoland) so basically, we got to stand around and wait for the field trip kids to get bored or go to lunch before we could have access to any of the "attractions". The very first ride we came to was shut down. The field trip kids were unsupervised for the most part; kids were coming up and taking legos from other kids (mine included) to build cars. My husband had to shoo off a kid trying to take parts from my 4 year old daughter. One boy had about 20 wheels and axels for his car so we had to wait until they moved along. I noticed the soft play area had the slide shut down, so all the smaller kids could do was play with soft Lego blocks. So as far as Legoland goes; not worth the drive (we live over an hour away) or the price. Literally all there is to do is play with Legos with the exception of 3 rides (because based on our experience and other reviews, 1 ride is inevitably always shut down), the play place, and the 15 minute 4D movie (best part, in my opinion) I paid $151 for both Legoland and Sealife plus the activity book and all we got was a plastic clip on button as our prize from Legoland and a gold medal necklace from Sealife. I guess if you live near the mall, its cool to take your kids for a few hours but if youre planning a drive out, its not worth it. My kids can sit at home and play with Legos and watch the myriad of Lego movies available online. Sealife wasnt as crowded, but again; for the price, its kinda skimpy. I can say that ALL of the employees we encountered at both attractions were friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, and seemed to enjoy what they do, so that was nice. But I wouldnt care to go back, even for free.

Was quite disappointed unfortunately. We found out there was a Lego land near us and our son is a huge enthusiast. Hes 8yrs old. So for Christmas we bought him tickets to go. He was so excited to go as was I after seeing it online viewing the map, the place looked amazing. We drove 5 hours and 20 min there, we get in and it was nothing to what it was made to seem compared to website and map of the place. The Map is extremely deceiving! It was extremely small. The lines for kids to play in areas were extremely long. My son gave up half way in he had gotten tired of waiting. Its so small that people are constantly running into each other and people are stepping on your toes. Also this place more or less is more aimed towards smaller children rides etc. for an 8 yr old there was not to big of a wow factor. He even came to me and said "mom I think this is for smaller kids" . One of the things he was extremely excited about was the mini figure trading. Where if a child brings a complete mini figure they can trade it with any employee. Employees where them on there name badges. We searched and searched and only 2 employees were wearing one. So that disappointed me because he was looking forward to that. I dont feel the amount we payed was worth what we got out of it. We spent about 87.00 in tickets plus gas ( driving 5 there and 5 hours back). Food etc. and it was so small and cramped my son did not even do some of the attractions do to lines. Honestly Im glad we did not get annual passes as originally intended. I was thankful there was plenty of hand sanitizer around though..... It was needed. If you have children 6 and under i would recommend it more for that age group. Honestly the whole time we were there my son just wanted to go to the gift shop the most but once you enter you cant go to gift shop until you leave once you into gift shop you cannot get back in, unless you go before you enter. It is 100% aimed towards the children. For adults you can do movie and wizard ride thats pretty much it. Other wise your just watching your kids enjoy most of time. I think I was just even more disappointed that we did this as a gift for my son for Christmas and we had high expectations based off of site and map of place and when we got there it was nothing like as they perceive it to be. And I felt like I let him down... But to each is there own. Smaller children would enjoy a lot more. I would suggest going there once and see it and experience it atleast once before emptying your wallet on annual passes.
