I can not believe you people really think that this Cinemark at the pike is that "good", Its horrible as can be. Only reason why I even went is because a friend suggested we go and it would be easier for him, I hesitated but as a MARVEL FAN, I said fine lets do it. I was born and raised in Long Beach, ...people in this city have grown dumber by each day. this is why I dont go out for fun in long beach, the people in my "fair" city have no damn respect for anyone else around them when having any type of fun. Went to go see Captain America: The Winter Solider, and through out the movie people kept talking, and mocking the movie, especially the dramatic parts of the movie. As a Fan of comics in general...if your going to go to a movie when people who are actual fans of some type of genre ...DONT COME AT ALL...your wasting your money and pissing people off. Never again am I going back to Cinemark or to downtown long beach...they maybe "remaking" the image of the city..but the its the people who make it feel like crap. Ill stick with Edwards Theater at the Town Center...never had an issue with people....why? theyre all fans of the same movie. and btw...have you EVER wondered why the theater is empty? welp I just told you why didnt I? the ghetto can keep its garbage.

Sun, Sea and Movies.........who can ask for anything more? We visited Cinemark at the Pike for the first time last weekend, parking was easy to find, and I loved the fact that you could pick your seats, however, we had seats J 5& 6 at the back and to the middle of the Auditorium and when we sat down, there was a 4 ft wall in front of the seats that was in my range of vision, cutting off the bottom of the screen, when I asked to change seats, I was told I would have to go to the Box office (outside the Theater), the process took about 20 minutes, because the Manager had to be called to take care of the exchage. So the lesson here is, if you are short, take a seat at the top of the stairs, where the wall will not affect your viewing. Also, we tried to plug in our electric vehicle and could not figure out how to pay for the service. Please make that process easier as well. Otherwise, the staff was super friendly, the snacks were fresh and tasty and we had a great time. We will go back again soon!

Seats are great but the cinema is run very poorly. Unfriendly box office attendant, unfriendly ticket ripper, then when the movie is about to start the projector does not work. We sit there for about twenty minutes. A girl comes in and gives us free film passes to come again. Okay great. But then they turn on the radio and the lights before the film was even over!!! Saw Hacksaw Ridge and just when they were interviewing the real life war heroes on screen the radio comes in and lights are on. A couple sitting in front of me got the projector operator to open her window to say "Hey, we didnt get to see the end of the film." And the idiot up in the booth says "thats the ending, this is what we got." Ummmm, no. It definitely wasnt. Now im going to have to use the free pass to see it again because we all missed the bloody ending, and arguably the most important part of the film. Bunch of unfriendly morons working there. Fact. Ill use my free pass but i wont be back after that.

Clean and convenient, great reclining seats, ample opportunities to save money with discount days and screening times, and they take Movie Pass cards. Parking structure nearby and validated parking offered. Walking distance to many different restaurants, including California Pizza Kitchen, Islands, and many more across the street with Famous Daves BBQ, Bubba Gump, Hooters, PF Changs, Gladstones, Chilis, Outback Steakhouse, Tokyo Wako, and even more nearby at Shoreline Village. Also, easily accessible by free public transportation, and easy to reach for those who need disabled access and restrooms. Personally, I cant have additional salt on my popcorn, but they unfailingly without hesitation will make up a special batch of popcorn without added salt. Very well trained staff in comparison to other theaters I have been to.

My sister and mom took my daughter to watch the baby boss on 04/14 and while they were watching their movie a manager on duty names "Chris" asked them to step out because my daughter was laughing too loud no one in that theater complained there was other children crying and only my daughter was singled out and discriminated for being excited over a childrens movie worst experience of my life this man was extremely disrespectful did not offer an apology and was disrespectful when confronted all he was able to say was sorry for your bad experience that solves nothing Cinemark has lost a loyal customer NEVER again will we return so if you have children who get excited over childrens movies this location will discriminate you for being excited corporate will hear from me

With the new remodeling changes at the Pike, along came a remodel to Cinemark theatres. The parking infrastructure was neglected and does not adequately support the increased traffic that comes through. Keep that in mind when youre running a little late for your movie. The seats are comfortable and assigned seating in advance is convenient. The seats located in the back of the auditorium has a wall in the front of them as a railing. If youre under 6ft tall and use the recliner on the chairs, it will obstruct your view. The staff at the concession stand are slow. The demographic is mixed and youll find the few characters inside the movie that youve always tried to avoid. The area is kept clean but not my first choice to enjoy a movie experience.

The theatre seating is very roomy and nice, with a slight reclining ability and retractable armrests. The matinee prices were a pleasant surprise, although the cost of snacks were still quite outrageous. We enjoyed our experience very much, although we were a bit disappointed that we were charged $1.50 for parking even though we had gotten it validated. Since it costs $1.50/hour as I seem to recall, I suspect we mightve been there slightly over the 3 hour validation period, since the movie was 2:10 long and we arrived early and had other little time suckers like finding parking, walking to and from our spots, and waiting in line. I guess it added up. So just be wary of that timeframe, which is a little tight if youre watching a longer movie.

Best Movie Theater in Long Beach! Reserved seating in advanced online so you dont have to get to the theater an hour before the show to get a good seat. Comfy reclining leather seats - tiered rows so nothing is between you and your view of the screen no matter where you sit. Great digital projection and sound. Excellent refreshment choices including Starbucks coffee and almost always plenty of workers so that you get through the line quickly. Also give you 3.5 hours of free parking in the structure - the only issue is sometimes (usually in summer) if there are big events happening around the pike, the parking company sucks at controlling the flow and parking in the structure can become a nightmare.

"The Family" is another notch in De Niros belt. And dead-pan of Tommy Lee is as always what he was hired for, the other stars made for a wonderful new age, old story Flick. Loved it!!! Theater is as always a pleasure to view in, nice seating and seats.. In the old days we use to say that Theaters made their money at the concession stand, but with the rise in the price of tickets they make their money on the movie. Today the concessions are just plain ripping off the patron. $4.?? for a liter of water? REALLY? $3.75 for a Pint? And that is just a small part of the over pricing of the snacks and food. It is no wonder that people smuggle snacks in to the show.
