We have been to this establishment many times but no more! This is a classic example of poor management ruining a business with a lot of potential. First let me say, This place is extremely dangerous! There are NO WALLS surrounding the rink. This allows children to enter and exit at anytime, right in front of fast moving people who cannot stop in time. Imagine running your car through a red light in front of oncoming traffic. At times, I am fairly certain there are more people in the building than the fire code would allow, its that crowded. I allowed my children to bring a friend, she was involved in this very scenario and broke her wrist in the fall. I had to bring this little girl home and explain to her mother what happened. This was not a pleasant experience. Secondly, while the staff is friendly an try to make the experience pleasant, the owner or owners wife I assume (Joann) is quite the opposite. My children and I have had numerous issues with bullying and other inappropriate behavior which has been simply ignored at times and seemingly approved at others. Her attitude is very displeasing and appears to be "its my place so I do what I want". While this may be true, the customer and their satisfaction should be the goal of all businesses. I have had conversations with many of the employees who all apologize for her behavior but their "hands are tied" and only stay because they need the work. This is a warning to all potential applicants as well. Anytime I mention her behavior to friends or acquaintances, they all have had similar experiences with her. This is my first online review, I generally just let the business fail on their own. I felt strongly enough about this particular business to go ahead and write this review. In closing, unfortunately for them, Interstate will never again see a dime of my money and anyone I speak with about it will be strongly persuaded not to let their children attend. I am 100% sure if there were another skating rink within a 10mile radius, this place would be empty, its that bad. I will make the drive to Grapevine! Also, go to the restroom before you attend! 500 children using the same toilet tends to make it less than desirable when needed. Thank you for reading, I hope this helps someone else avoid the poor experiences we have had.

We just had out daughters birthday party at your skate rink. I was very, very disappointed with the WHOLE EXPERIENCE. Our party was suppose to START at 6 and it DIDNT START til 6:30. Our hostess never introduced herself to us and I had to ask for her several times. I found that I was left to do most of the work of the party hostess along with a few other parents that, thank goodness, stayed. It was complete and utter caos. No organization whatsoever, it was like they werent even prepared for the party that was booked two weeks in advance. We ran out of soda several times, ran out of plates, nothing was ready for the cake. I had to then cut the cake missing my child open her presents, since YOU didnt start til 6:30 we were rushed out and had to eat cake and open presents together.....well I worked doing the job of the hostess. When she came to close my tab, I told her that my card was on hold at the place that does the "trainers". I told her I would come close my tab when I GOT MY CARD BACK. She said ok. Maybe 10 minutes later I went to the office to talk to the manager about the party experience we had. He called the owner who said she would do NOTHING since the party was over and my card was ran (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION I MIGHT ADD). One of YOUR workers when to take MY CARD and RUN IT, WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW) HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A PARTY THAT I AM HAVING IF I AM THE ONE WORKING THE PARTY??????????????? I then asked if I could speak with the owner on the phone and was told I couldnt. I then said since the card was ran without my permission I was not going to sign the slip. He then called the manager back and told me to call the place back during the week. I asked when the owner would be in, he claims he didnt know...just during the week sometime. I asked for the owners name and was told HE COULDNT GIVE TO ME. REALLY YOU CANT TELL ME THE NAME OF THE OWNER, REALLY??? I HAVE TOLD OTHERS ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH YOU THAT WANTED A PARTY WITH YOU....NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY WILL NOT BE HAVING A PARTY WITH YOU. You will not stay in business long if you continue with the way you run your business now. I will let everyone know how you treat pople.

We had our daughters 11th birthday party there today. The Air Conditioning apparently wasnt working properly, the temperature was in the lower 80s when we arrived. Lulu was our hostess. She seemed like she really didnt want to be there. The mens restrooms smelled like urine, and the lavatories are located outside the restroom near the dining tables. Kind of awkward. The cold handle popped off in my hand when i tried to turn it on. There were no paper towels or dispensers. They did have air dryers and they are extremely loud so be prepared for everyone to look. I ordered a hot dog and some nachos. The chips were in a bag and extremely stale. The hot dog looked blown out and didnt smell right. I ended up throwing both away and wasting $5.50. The skating rink seemed decent but more walls around the edges would be nice so kids arent getting ran over by the faster skaters. Nice smooth older rink though. Once we were ready to cut the cake our hostess finally decided to come back to our table at which time she insisted on cutting the cake. She used a small plastic knife and every piece she cut and attempted to put on a plate was flipped at least five or six times to the point where there was no icing left on the cake by the time it made it to the plate. There was a piece where she just gave up and grabbed it with her hand and put it on the plate. Afterwards she said she needed to clean one of our tables and prepare it for the next group. We agreed and she cleaned it. In the process she threw away the lid to our cake. When I asked her about it she realized what she did. She went over to the trash can and pulled it out and took it back to the kitchen and brought it out to us. By that time i had already threw the rest of the cake away. Theres no way in hell...Also still cant figure out why they have a toilet seat hanging from the ceiling near the disco balls. We will not be returning.

Theres nothing that really stands out about this rink. Its your basic rink with the same pros and cons of most rinks. The girls at the snack bar are really sweet to the kids. They help them count their money and Ive seen them give kids a cup for water if their parents dropped them off without enough money. The front office is also helpful if you ask otherwise they stay out of it. My only complaint is the staff that actually works the rink. The guys skate around presumably to help anyone who has fallen and to keep kids from getting too rowdy. They dont do either of these things. They are oblivious to kids being too rough or hurting others and I have seen them zip right past kids who are hurt and crying. One guy even told a girl (age 6ish?) who had fallen and was crying to "get up. theres no laying in the floor." I just get out there with them and help my own kiddos. Good things to know: (1) There are coupons available to print online. Some of them are decent deals. (2) They offer rollerblades but its $3 extra per person. (3) Their AC/Heat is not broken. There always seems to be talk of this between parents every time I go. The building is poorly insulated. Bring a jacket in the winter and avoid it on a hot summer day.
