Went there on 2/17/17.this was our first time here. i purchased the unlimited bowling, go karts and laser maize for me and my friends. we bowled and carted and even failed at the laser maize from 10 to close. the bowling wasnt that bad. aside from some disorderly people that were drinking and yelling. the go karts were in poor condition. all of then had different speeds, some had broken steering and the employees there acted like this was totally fine. and when i say different speeds, Im talking my friend lapped me three times because my cart wouldnt go at a snails pace and he got a functioning cart drunks are abundant on the track and the employees didnt care. multiple people were intentionally causing wrecks which was against the rules were left only to ruin everyones experience. an entire family was doing it at one point. the employees didnt care at all. close to close we decided to try our hands at their four pool tables. one of which was already taken. there were three people in front of us in line at the counter to get the tables. two of which got a table and the third got a drink. as soon as we stepped up to get a table, this lady in a blue shirt came up to a CLOSED register and flagged and employee while we were waiting on the other to get back from giving the other groups the sets of balls. she manged to get the last table with no waiting in line. despite both ladies behind the counter seeing us there. we only found out about this when we tried to get a table and they said " oh well she got the last one" the ladies didnt seem to care that " first come, first in line" meant nothing when this lady could just walk up when we were told to get in line with everyone else. we first approached the front desk to ask, being told to go to the snack bar counter ( which i thought was weird) and when we did this happened. i was furious and they didnt seem to care. wed waited in line like were were supposed to. like the TWO groups before us. and this lady just does what she wants and the employees let her. we complained to the ladies behind the count that did it and they just shrugged. so pissed off we decided to ride the go karts until close . which is when we found the above mentioned family which completely ruined it. i wont recommend the alley to anyone, nor will i return. i think that if a placed cant follow their own rules they set down for safety and everyones enjoyment why should i give them my business, the way the employees acted the entire time were were there was just icing on the cake. none of the employees seemed to care, ignoring you or playing on their phones. this place is a disgrace as an entertainment place. ill go to all star sports next time, or even try extreme racing, before ever setting a foot in this place again

So my old man and I always bowl in Derby. My grandpa has "connections" and gets us coupons for the place there all the time. I had visited this place a few years ago, when I came along with my dad to a party his work was throwing here (he was laid off a week later, but thats a story for another time). I fell in love with the go-karts instantly. Fast forward plus or minus 5 years, and I finally had a chance to return to this wonderland, but this time its to go bowling. Now $11 per hour per person sounds pricey -- and with a big group, Im sure it is -- but I was here by myself today. That eleven dollars got me NINE AND A HALF games in that hour (the timer ran out during #10)!!! I was more worried about my arm falling off before the timer ran out. They actually give you an hour and ten minutes. The extra time is to find a ball and get set up, but I cheated (sorry). The place was quiet, but I guess thats to be expected. Who goes bowling at noon on a Thursday, besides me? I didnt mind, the silence helped my concentration. Next order of business: The house bowling balls. Ive always had trouble finding one the felt comfortable and rolled smoothly. That wasnt a problem here. The very first ball I picked up was "the one". Nine and a half games later, Im well beyond satisfied with my visit and I will be coming back. My only complaint is what was on TV, a spelling bee doesnt seem all that exciting. The point of this ramble: I wish I could give it more than 5 stars, and it may be time to tell dad what we need to start doing our usual bowling outings here.

I called about booking a birthday party. After asking several questions I found out they no longer offer the package I wanted (which was still listed on their page). I was then told we could do a walk-in party and still be able to bring in our cake (great, most places don t if you don t purchase a birthday package). I was told to call ahead to make sure lanes were available, but when I said we d be doing strictly the laser maze and arcade games he said there was no need to call ahead then. What he didnt tell me is that they are sometimes closed to the public (how would I know this???). We show up for our walk-in party to find they are closed to the public for the next three hours. They gave us 2 for 1 bowling coupons for North Rock lanes (who had a tournament currently going on, so had very limited lanes and they didnt know the coupons were being handed out). I doubt I ll be returning due to the lack of information resulting in scrambling to have a party and the fact they gave coupons for a place who didnt even have decent availability for anyone going there (though they were very accommodating to us and had wonderful staff to help our party turn out a success). The staff at The Alley was apologetic (though apologies seemed robotic and insincere), but offered nothing to help us out or give us any incentive to return in the future.

This is a disscrace of a buisness. Everything is over priced for no reason because the quality you will receive is below average at best. The employees working are rude and none of them seemed like they gave any care about the customer experience at all. Any manager who allows their employees to act like that is not fit to run a buisness. The food here is horrible. Cheaply made and costs an arm and a leg to get microwave food thats still cold in the middle. The pizza tastes like cardboard and the drinks taste like plastic from the cheap cups used. Theres a Freddys Frozen Custard across the parking lot Id you want good food. Go-karts might be the one place to have fun right? Wrong! The karts are slow and the rules of the track is no bumping (which is good) except the fact that the employees dont care about this rule and allow it anyways. I was scared for the safety of myself and others I was with while I rode these karts. I strongly recommend AGAINST this establishment just due to the rudeness of the staff, overpriced aminities, lack of concern for customer safety, and the overall disappointment you will face. If you want to do everything and more that The Alley offers either go to All-star Sports or take a drive to Kansas City. The Alley Indoor Entertainment doesnt deserve your money.
