$31 and 5000 calories later, I enjoyed my Regal Cinemas experience. Some of us know that movie studios have Regal Cinemas by the b*lls. Movie Studios keep nearly 100% of the money for the first 15 days and the theaters nearly-sole revenue stream is concessions. Thats the Theater Model. Its just the way it is. So, lets get back to my 5000 calorie movie. First, thats enough calories to run a marathon. Yep, serious. I bought the 64oz Sprite, Medium Bag of Popcorn with "heart attack amount" of butter flavoring, Sour Patch Kids, some other Sour candy, and some Peanut M&Ms. I ate the whole damn thing. I admit I did have trouble calculating simple math due to the probable insulin shock I was experiencing but thats expected. All in all, it was a great day at the movies. If you can sympathize with the crappy Corporate behemoth known as Regal Cinemas, you can order your $6 beverage and your $4 candy with your chin held high. UPDATE: So after going back again last week, I encountered a Level 10 Douchebag working the ticket window. This gentleman, one by one, waited for anyone to say anything about the ticket prices, then would utter his go-to answer of "Oh, did you not want the ticket?" He would then proceed to act naive when each customer replied , "Um, no, i never said that. Why would I turn around and leave?" "Oh, because I heard you complain about the ticket prices..it didnt sound like you wanted it," said the dicky ticket-window male. Yep. There is a major douchecannon working the ticket window at this location. Bigger guy, dark hair, possibly middle-eastern or hispanic descent. Make sure to mess with him mentally and let him have it.

My review is related to customer service only. I went and saw a movie yesterday at this theater. We were seeing IT, and there were a good number of people in the theater. There was a couple in the front row who came in clearly reeking of pot, and who were blatantly drinking out of the womans purse the entire movie. They would NOT be quiet, and loudly talked through the entire movie. Four separate times a staff member or manager came in and asked them to be quiet. They never did. Actually, they got louder and flipped off the rest of the audience. While I appreciate that the staff tried to remedy the problem peacefully, how many complaints before someone gets booted? I felt like the enjoyment of everyone else in the theater (and many of us had gone up and asked these people to quiet down as well) was made secondary to these two idiots. I know managers have a tough job, and you shouldnt just boot someone complaint number one. That said, when the same people are defiantly ruining the movie for everyone else, its insulting to me that theyre allowed to stay, and it makes me not want to return to this theater. I dont trust their ability to actually resolve a situation like that. Credit where credits due: the theater is always tidy and clean, and the staff is always very kind. I really like the facility, but Im kind of angry that my (and three other peoples) very legitimate complaints were ignored. If any of the staff sees this review and cares to discuss the incident, Id be happy to discuss.

the best part about this Regal is the location. Nothing like hanging out downtown and then catching a movie to finish off your day. The theater is clean as all the Regals I have attended are, but other than that, its just another Regal. Movie, Drink, and Popcorn will set you back about 35 to 40 bucks just for two people. So if your on a budget, make sure the movie your seeing is worth the buck.

I will have to rate this place with just a okay. First of all, for a downtown location movie theater I thought it would look and feel better. As for the layout of this movie theater I believe its great! The service is also great. Im not a big fan of there small movie theater rooms. The space they offer just feel too small and sometimes it looks like no one has clean the room from the last movie.

Everything about this theater screams low end. From its mall location, to the inability to select seats in advance, to the overpriced and low quality concessions, to the pre-show advertisers (Taco Bell?!). When options like Living Room Theaters and Cinetopia exist, I honestly dont understand how Regal stays in business, except that it seems to have the monopoly on new release blockbusters.

This is favorite cinema in the greater Portland area. The staff is always friendly and the theaters are always clean. Im giving 4 stars because I dont like that they serve alcohol. People tend to spill their beer or wine in the dark theater and it really smells. Ive also encountered a few belligerent individuals, but you can find that almost anywhere.

This place is horrible. I have tried to see 3 movies here and each time was horrible. There was people talking the entire movie. Not once was there anyone checking on the theater. The only reason I went 3 times was because I complained about my movie being ruined by texting. Id rather wait to see a movie from home then see it there.

Not the typical stand-alone Regal experience. This theater is located atop Pioneer Place mall; its quaint & sufficient. Theyre always showing the most recent major box office releases. While theres no abundance of frills, the theater and concessions get the job done. Plus - unbeatable location for those living downtown!

This is a fun theatre that is in the eastern portion of the pioneer square mall. We have seen plenty of movies here, mainly since it is the closest movie theatre to us in the NW that will play the recently released films. It is easy access to take public transportation here, so dont feel the need to drive.

I think this is a good theatre as far as Regals go. Its pretty clean, and the auditoriums are large and have stadium seating. They usually get popular blockbusters and not as many kids as the Lloyd theatres. The staff is always pleasant, too. If I go a Regal I usually come here.

Its a Regal, so you pretty much know what youre getting, your average overpriced movie experience. This Regal however has decided that because it is conveniently downtown that they will charge more than pretty much any other Regal in town, so be forewarned about that.

Wow... The manager with black n gray fumanchu beard is horrible. Did they interview him or just pick him up from the anger management clinic? One bitter nasty dude! If your looking for service with a smile try another theater.

Pretty standard movie going experience, expensive as any downtown movieplex. Parking downtown is no fun so ride your bike for a change and get some exercise to work off the junk food you will be purchasing in the theater.

Its a movie theater in a mall. The concessions and tickets are nice and pricey. If you can find a Google Offers or Groupon discount youll be much happier. The chairs in the theaters are comfy and well taken care of.

The tickets were more expensive then other Regal Cinemas I go to in the area and the seating was not that comfortable. On the other hand the picture and sound quality of the movie I saw "Finding Dory" was very good.
