We went to see "Sing!" during our christmas vacation in the city. This place has so much potential. There were no movie times signs in the windows, so to know what time things are playing you have to walk inside. The entrance was confusing. There are doors on two sides of the lobby, but only one side of the building (not marked) was open. Then inside they had tons of those line barricades set up (like you see at airport check-in lines). Several stair cases were roped off and closed for some reason even though they meet up with the open ones on the different floors. And one of the escalators was apparently broken. Very weird and not exactly welcoming. Mind you, it wasnt very busy. We werent there at a rush time or anything. And the dark colors! The whole multi-story lobby is painted in dark, dreary primary colors! The floors were well worn. I know this is a building with lots of people coming and going, but it seemed like this place was due for a renovation about 10 years ago. As most movie theaters are these days, the concessions were super expensive. A bag of popcorn and soda dont need to cost $30. Corn and sugar water are not that freaking expensive, people! The movie, though, was great. Go rent it/buy it/download it, whatever. But this place, they could learn some things from Pacific Places movie theater down the block.

So when I first started going to this theater it was at a one star rating in my opinion. Very dirty, uncomfortable, and the screen and sound were just horrible. Years later to the end of 2016 and our present time, this is one of my favorites. They really cleaned up the theaters. We now have new technology which has allowed regal to make the best out of what they can. This new 4Dx thing is insane with moving, vibrating, water/mist spraying, fan blowing, rollercoaster type seats that move along with the movie. The new recliner seats in other rooms that they have that let you chill back and relax very comfortably while you watch your movie almost like your sitting at home. The sound and screens are all new. Its all just very updated and fun. I had to go and see the new fast and Furious for the second time only because I wanted to try the 4Dx and Im so happy I did that. The only thing that I would have the company work on if they continue to do this incredible change in how people watch movies is the customer service. Still very lazy. Other than that this is my new spot for movies.

If people havent noticed yet, but the odd smell of urine in the hallways of level 2 and level 3 on occasion is due too the fact of an infestation of mice in the building. Dead mice can sometimes be found behind objects such as the trash cans, and booster seats. The food is frozen for a hefty price but of course to help pay its workers. Employment pay is horrible, the pay periods make no reasonable sense of actually tricking the workers thinking that theyll get a feasable pay check to actually pay the bills, but thats not the case. Pay checks range too $300 or $400 but no ever than $1000 a month because Regal is so cheap and slow on business. This is a "cut corner" business. Employees are being shorted of their hours with out any notice, no pay stubs or anything except for a site that they have to ask for a username and password only to find out that it doesnt work. The head manager works the slow hours while the real managers actually work their ass off. This place needs an actual real review and not just a payed off review of it.

the staff is nice, helpful, and its a great place to slip into a movie for those of us who live downtown. the place could really use an upgrade. my major complaint is the screening of the films. they show them on their screens in reduced sizes...they rarely fill the screen. its like watching a letter boxed film at home. its a movie theatre. we go for the full movie experience. when i point it out to management, they say, "oh, thats just the way it is." it is NOT just the way it is. its the way it is THERE. they dont have this problem at the Pacific Place AMC. also...they advertise the TCM special classics screenings--even put up posters. but they DONT show them there.

I have no idea how "plush seating" is mentioned as one of its features. This theater shows its age, I actually dont know how old it is, but it has a rundown vibe... so I guess "age" is my way of being kind. No parking options. What I mean by that is they dont offer their own, not even parking validation for some discounted pricing - so youre really looking at an expensive proposition...in a place showing "age". Yes, I know, downtown and parking dont mix - check. I dont expect much from theater restrooms, but since it seems it deserved mentioning, yeah, "odd" is as friendly as I can get. So why 2 stars? Trying to be fair - it is downtown, not the burbs.

There is a short list of regular theaters I attend, Meridian 16 is one of them. Being downtown means its an easy bus ride to and from. Seating and online ticketing always seem plentiful for me, but I never try to see movies opening night. Popcorn is always popping, they keep their concession upsales to a minimum. The "butter" is soy based, which is good for my dairy free gf but I wish it was butter. Screens and sound arent top notch but thats how I can have tickets more readily available. If I want to see a movie at Cinerama I have to plan weeks in advance or sit in the very front or wings.

This theatre has a great location, but it is in need of renovation. The chairs are old and uncomfortable and the bathrooms are in a really odd place between the two main floors. And in the bathrooms, I usually find a bathing homeless person. You are not allowed to use the stairs on the side of the lobby, Im guessing they are reserved for people exiting the theatre, so you can only use the central escalator. With all of that combined with the fact I usually have to pay to park downtown, this theatre usually isnt a destination for me. The Regal theatre at the Northgate Mall is much better.

This was a good place to see a movie, but expensive like everywhere else. They have reclining seats that are really nice and make the experience much better. Even in the second row, it didnt feel like we were too close. One frustrating thing was how small the theaters were. They sold out way too fast for 3 showings in a row and even though we were very early for the movie the closest we could get was the second row because there were so few seats. I did appreciate that they added some showings on the fly to deal with demand. Overall a good place!

I went to a 4DX movie - The Fate of The Furious! It was a fun experience. Hold on to your popcorn and turn off the water if you dont want to get wet. It was not 3D like some people in the theater were thinking, however it was like a ride immersing you into the movie action. There are plenty of parking options nearby. The concession stand did not have more than a few minutes wait. It would be nice to have buttered popcorn instead of putting your own on at the end, which only gets the top layer. It looks like the theater was recently upgraded.
