The movie theater is adorable. It hearkens back to an era where theaters had red velvet carpet and red crushed velvet seats. Small theaters make every seat a good one. Excellent modern equipment bring it into this era. HOWEVER, teach your staff a bit of customer service, or at least good manners. Wow! We werent greeted. We were made to feel like we were an inconvenience to her day. And goodness, would a pleasant smile KILL YOU?? Yeah. Dont go here for service. Overlook it. Or maybe drop off a copy of Stephen Coveys "How to Win Friends and Influence People." I dont know. But oh, well. The movie was great!

Its a pretty decent little cineplex with great digital projectors. The prices are good, the concessions almost reasonable, but the parking blows. The theatre itself has a tiny little lot off the to left, but once its fill, its every man, woman and child for themselves. On most nights downtown Fairfax is pretty packed, and with limited parking for the entire downtown area, it only compounds the problem. Its not a reason to avoid the place by any means, just more of a cautionary tale. Expect to do some walking.

I recently saw the James Bond movie Spectre with friends at the Fairfax Theater 6. The picture was good, but the audio had a constant low level buzz throughout the film. It was unpleasant to sit through. Then, to make matters worse, as soon as the end credits started to roll the house lights came on and the screen went dark. No credits = big no-no. ONE STAR for the Fairfax Theater 6 for giving us one of the worst experiences weve ever had in a movie theater.

I like this theatre because its walkable and has a small town feel. Its also awesome that its solar powered. Unfortunately, the new theatre has a loud floor that is very noisy when people walk on it during a movie. And, more than a few times the this theatre has had some soundtrack issues, once resulting in a refund for the entire auditorium.

They show all the good animated movies! I like the seats, especially the top row. The snack bar has everything. My mom saw The Turning Point here seven times when she was a kid. And her whole family saw every Planet of the Apes in one binge watch in the seventies. Its not huge, but its ours and we can walk there.

The most comfortable seats in the county - if not the whole bay area . They have the best - fresh popcorn in the county and- great folks work there. And they get the new films first!! Love it!!

Great, local movie theater with great staff... only comment I have is that movies I want to see go within like a month and movies I dont care about stay there for like 3 months! Whats up with that.
