If I could give this rating ZERO stars I would . I have never been more disappointed in Ovation than I was last night. My friends and I planned on having dinner inside ovation while we watched Kong: Skull Island. Taken to our surprise, paper signs on the doors informed us that they were not serving food due to the transition from Carmike Cinemas to AMC. Already a little ticked off , because we all havent eaten anything and werent going to until after the movie now . As you walk in to the ticket booth on your right there are now ropes for the lines. I personally find the ropes very tacky, it ruined the decor. We walk to the booth to purchase our tickets. The cashier had mistakenly given us the ticket for Logan not Kong. No big deal as long as we got the right tickets. I kid you not when I tell you it took 5 people to fix our tickets, and now a line has formed. We finally get our tickets situated after having to wait almost 15mins and also having to pay an additional $4 because it was in the Big DDD theater. So far not good and we havent even made it into the theater. We find our seats , get comfortable and press the button to alert our waiter. 10 mins go by nothing, 20 mins have passed still no waiter. At 35 mins our waiter finally decided to show up and with no customer service on top of that. My family and I purchased the annual popcorn bucket, where everytime you want to refill it only costs $4.25 per refill. I had brought it with me and asked the waiter if we could do a refill. She had told me that she didnt know if they were still doing this and was going to go ask management. 20 mins later she comes back and let me know they still can she uses her tablet to tally up the order and I also asked for 2 waters which are free. She tells me that the total is $22.50 and I had to explain to her that I had already purchased the bucket I just want a refill. She goes back to talk with her mangers and comes back to tell me the total is now $9.25. Again I explain to her I should only be paying $4 something because the refill is $4.25 plus tax and the waters are free. Taken we still do not have popcorn and the movie is about to start. About another 20 mins later she finally comes back with the popcorn but still hasnt figure out the bill. We watch the movie which was excellent by the way and towards the end she comes back and lets me know we do not have a bill and shes so sorry for the confusion I say thank you . Something they actually got right tonight. When Ovation 1st opened my friends and I came and had an amazing experience. Every single associate greeted you and ask how you were doing. The customer service was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. But every trip after that just downgraded every time. The associates do not greet you anymore they just walk right by you. The atmosphere is now changed and also the uniforms which are not done well. Another thing that has changed is that they do not serve you popcorn in the big ceramic bowl anymore it is just the regular popcorn tub you would get at any other theater. AMC buying this Carmikes Cinema has to be the worst downgrade ever. This was a place where me and my family would enjoy ourselves and go weekly too. Now when we think of Ovation in Holly Springs it brings a bad taste to our mouths.

One world. Chaos!! I purchased my tickets a week ago for Beauty and the Beast and went this past Saturday for the Showing at 8:15pm, Once there they informed us that the movie wasnt going to show on time since they had to do cleaning because the previos showing ended late witch was no big deal so my husband and I decided to go to the bar and order some drinks before we walked in the Theater we go to the bar and theyre where two older ladies behind the bar that clearly didnt know what they were doing they looked very nervios and confused the hole time complaining about how they needed help (although theyre were only 3 couples sitting at the bar including my husband and I) Plus they didnt know the recipe for the drinks because they had to look for a The recipe book for directions for every drink they were preparing also Apperantly they had some POS issues about a refund for a different customer that needed manager approval (Like I said! I knew everything that was going on because the whole time the employees were complaining about it in front of customers) and once they spot a manager and call his name what does he do? He tries to run out the door!.. lol Anyways! It took about 20 minutes for two drinks! My husband and I are pretty patient people. Once with our drinks we walk back to the theater all I see is employees standing around in groups complaining about not knowing what to do! Plus lots of other costumers out of other showing rooms complaining. My husband and I could not believe it, it was just chaos!! So it being about 8:40pm so we assumed we could go in and the movie might had already started. but no! They were still a couple of people waiting outside because the theater was not ready! Some teenage employees would walk out and apologize and say they were trying their best to hurry up and it took long because they are understaffed. About 9:00pm they finally let us go inside and take our seats.. We were waiting for servers but the servers never came other customers walked out to see what was going on they come back in and informe us they will not be serving food. Not once did a manager come in and say anything once an employee finally came Im to informe us about the NO Food situation I felt very bad for him because other costumers started yelling at him! When I could clearly see he was nervous and the young man maned up and did a Manager duty other employees where trying their best to keep customers happy giving them free popcorn. AGAIN NOT ONCE did a manager come up and apologize or knowledge the situation. And finnally about 9:30 The movie finally started playing but the screen was orange we had sound but no picture.. lol many people started walking out you would probably ask yourself.. Why did you stay?? Well Ive been dying to watch beating the beast for a while now. I see a man running in going into the screen room trying to fix it but we all ready had heard about 10 minutes into the movie.. lol Once he fixed it he restarted the movie but the picture was dark a bit hard to see but wasnt orange anymore.. lol Never in my life have I ever gone to any business and it be so much chaos and soooo disorganized.. corporate needs to do something ASAP!! This place definitely needs a new managers!

Just got home from watching Pirates, horrible experience all around tonight. This is my second time going there and first since AMC has taken over. I was really looking forward to having a couple of beers and having dinner with my wife and kids while watching one of our favorite Disney sagas. Last time when it was Carmike, the service was phenomenal, the wait staff was skilled and professional and courteous. First off tonight, the waiter didnt come out for quite some time, even after many of us in the row had push our call buttons, we were there 15 minutes before the previews trying to get our order in early so we wouldnt be disturbed during the show. When he finally came, he blamed it on a wait staff call out. We ordered. 30 minutes later, when I was just wondering where our food might be, we saw a waitress trip on the stairs carrying a tray of food, food went everywhere. From what we could tell, it was ours. Not a word was said about that to us. 10 minutes later, I called the waiter. He came and I asked where our food was (now 40 minutes after ordering), he immediately took an attitude and told me things were very busy there and it would be out as soon as possible! Finally food came out after 50 minutes of waiting, no apology, and nobody admitted that they accidentally dropped some of our dinners. My taco trio was cold and seems like it was put in the oven to keep warm while they remade the food that they dropped! The inexperienced, young waitress that finally brought our food, didnt bring me silverware or napkins. Popcorn that I ordered originally and told them to hold until I was done dinner, came out before dinner! Had to turn it away. When we were done dinner, and finally asked for popcorn again, it came out with yet another inexperienced waiter, with no napkins, and no bowls to be able to share with my kids and wife. Ordered another beer while he was there, was told that he cant take beer orders! had to push the call button again. Rude waiter came back and basically scoffed at me when I ordered a second beer! Didnt say a word to me, just walked off. Finally to top it off, the theater was so hot, we were all sweating like crazy (It was 88 degrees outside), even though multiple people had asked to have it turned down. AMC has really ruined this place for me. Bathrooms were disgusting to the point that my 8 year old daughter even said something to me that there were no paper towels and two of the sinks werent working! I really hope this review and others reaches some people within AMC that can actually make a difference, because it is such a great place, that is now the victim of extreme mis-management!!
