Tonight was the absolute last time I will EVER spend a dime in this theater. Heres a rundown of all the b.s. that Ive dealt with in the three times Ive been to this theater: The first time my husband and I went, wed had dinner beforehand at Cheesecake Factory and brought our leftovers in a doggie bag into the theater. The manager insisted that my husband and I leave the bag with him - as though he thought we were going to bust out a fork and start eating our leftovers in the theater. (He was about 600lbs so he probably dabbled his porky fingers into it while we were watching our movie.) Meanwhile, directly in front of the manager and us, a teenage boy was waddling in with 2 bottles of soda and so much candy in his pockets that he could barely walk. You could actually see it sticking out and this moronic manager was concerned about losing money from 2 adults doggie bag? Get real. On 3 separate occasions Ive bought tickets from Fandango for this theater and each time I have gone to pick up the tickets at the kiosk inside the theater, the kiosk is broken and Ive had to stand in line for 30 minutes to pick them up from the box office. Tonight I asked the dude if it ever worked. He said they never have time to fix it. In addition, other patrons in line with me complained of the same experience. Yes, you can use Fandango for this particular location but theres no point because you have to wait in the same queue as everyone else to print the tickets. Save yourself the time and just go to another theater. The staff is racist and quick to service people of their own race ahead of others. Yes, thats right. The staff members tonight decided to cherry pick people who were not in the queue to help them ahead of those individuals waiting. Was I mistaken? Nope. They were calling the people ahead of us to assist them but as soon as they got to me, they stopped and took two people who were not in the roped off queue line who had just walked up to the counter and skipped the line. There was only one queue for the concessions and the area where they called people was at one of the counter. The two guys walked up at the other end of the counter, while the staff was servicing another customer and they proceeded to place their order while the other couple was still being helped. Instead of the staff member telling the guy to get in line, he directed him to another staff member for assistance. Meanwhile, the couple behind me and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes because the people working move like they have on lead shoes. I guess the 3 of us waiting werent the right color. The staff members that I have had any interaction with have been both mentally and physically slow. While, I dont think they are handicapped, I do think they dont want to work. Ive never seen anything quite like this except for at the DMV. Yeah, theyre younger people but thats no excuse. They give teens a bad name. I also agree with another reviewers comments that basically said that unless you are under the age of 18, you really ought to avoid this travesty and go somewhere else. For $36 for two tickets to the IMAX, $20 for popcorn and drinks - thats $56 dollars I just paid for a crappy experience. Id rather beef up my Netflix account and stay home. With the economy sucking like it does and people saving money, there is absolutely no reason to pay for this kind of crappy service and experience. Wish I could have given it zero stars.

Ive been to this theater several times since its opening. I agree with everyone who says that the bathrooms could be cleaner; perhaps its not quite s bad as the reviewers think (some people may have just gone in right after someone else made a mess). The theaters are not bad; an occasional streak on the movie screens which can be distracting. On one occasion the curtain at the top of the screen ripped and hung down, blocking the view. It took the theater staff several minutes to figure out how to rip the fabric down (eventually a tall ladder was brought in). Good sound quality in the theaters, but occasionally way too loud; Fast and Furious 6 was played with deafening volume. When watching a quieter movie at an adjoining theater we could hear the explosions through the walls. Parking is a challenge, but I always find spaces in the parking garage behind the theater (second floor always has spaces available, but the elevator is frequently out of service). Saw Skyfall on the IMAX screen; not a real IMAX. If you want real IMAX you need to head over to the Museum of Science and Discovery in Ft. Lauderdale. Update - July 2015. Several trips to this theater during the past year. Bathrooms still just okay (very small, but there are 5 of them; you may have to wait a while on line when the movie lets out). Only a few problems over the past year; some lighting issues, a couple projector problems, all corrected when someone went out to notify the staff. Apparently everythings computerized; no one really checks to see if the projector is functioning properly or if the lights dimmed when the feature film started. They also want you to know that they check the security of the theaters - in a most annoying way. Staff member with clipboard and bright red wand walks through the theater about three times during the show to make sure the exits are secure. The flashlight wand (mini light-saber - like hes going to wave an airplane into the terminal) is very distracting while trying to watch the move. No more screen problems, and being attached to a huge mall (second largest in Florida after the one in Aventura) is a big plus. Upgrading review to four out of five stars.

I grew up in Florida and came here to watch movies for as long as I can remember! It used to have a very awesome management and the staff was quick and friendly. All that has definitely changed now. The ticket attendant named Patti was very mean and a 100% racist. I watched a movie there last month and she was rude to me. And I just thought may be she was having a bad day so I forgot about it and went on to have a great day. I went back again to watch a movie a couple of days ago and she was there again and I recognized her. As we walked up to the counter to purchase our tickets, she was already talking in a grumpy voice. Our ticket was $40 something dollars and change. I clearly told the lady we had the change and started to look for it on our wallet. And she clearly saw 3 grown ass women looking in their purse for something and Im sure as hell she saw us even counting it in our hands. When I had the change ready for her, she already broke the bill and gave us more change back and I corrected her and told her I have the change and she just replied, "Oh well I already rung it out , so.. " And I told her again, " I told you I had the change" And, this Patti decides to make a mocking face at me and my friends and say in a very squeaky voice "Well, no you didnt tell me anything" . This is disgusting .. I dont think Ill be coming back again until they start staffing people who are happy to greet and interact with other people. If you dont like interaction with anyone then there are other jobs you can certainly work at. Clearly, theres a lot of interaction here when youre selling tickets behind a glass.
