Went to go see a 9:45 movie... havent been to this theatre since Mars Attacks in 96. Arrived at 9:25 - Two tickets 19 bucks... felt it was going to be a good deal. Credit card machine froze... no big deal- needed to wait for them to restart it. Credit card machine freezes again. - need to wait another 2-3 mins while it restarts... thats fine. (Line starts to form) All the other machines fail. Our Credit Card machine fails a third time - it is now 9:45. Then I am told by Manager and girl that was helping us they accepting cash only now. I said... We only had 3 dollars - since we dont regularly carry cash... and now its movie starting time.. Im told sorry, and to have a good night. Well then! I guess it will be another 20 years before I try this place again. Thanks for the great customer service

I visited Six Forks Cinema to see the 4:15 PM showing of Kong: Skull Island. With about 15-20 minutes of the movie remaining, the power was interrupted. The power was restored within about 10 minutes as they attempted to find the frame we were in when we lost power. To say the least, this interrupted the climax of the movie and we had to build up to that point all over again. What was really bothersome was that no one from the theater came to apologize for the interruption and nothing was offered to compensate for the experience that was ruined. I have lived long enough to know that things will go wrong, but to expect an audience to just take it on the chin is not acceptable. There are too many theaters in the area to visit.

Tried to take my daughter here to see a kids movie a couple of weeks ago. I rushed home from work and hired a babysitter for my younger child so that I could have a "girls night" out with my 6 year old daughter. Immediately before going I checked their website for showtimes, and the movie we wanted was listed as showing at 7:10pm. When we got there, the movie was listed on the marquee board as well. We went in to get tickets and were informed that they didnt have the movie any more. At this point it was too late for me to try to run around to other theaters to find one who actually had the movie. Thanks for wasting my precious night out and my $40 for a sitter!

We ordered a kids popcorn combo pack, and requested butter on the popcorn. The manager said they cannot butter the popcorn in the kids pack its against policy, so I ask for her to put some into a sample cup and I would put it on NOPE.......she wouldnt allow that either! I told her that I should be able to make the decision to butter popcorn that I paid for myself, and that although this theater had been our favorite, we wouldnt be back. She said that its all good, find a new favorite Theater. I was very offended by her response. We did just that , and the theater we chose is Regal at Brier Creek, Raleigh NC

The cinema was very clean and the staff appears friendly and glad to see us. It was clean and comfortable. We went to see The Hobbit and the picture quality was expectional. Very clear and bright. The surround sound had the audience looking around execting to see the Gollum approach. I was very pleased and will frequent this establishment again. Concession stand prices are good when compared with other cinemas. It is tucked behind a mall, making it a bit hard to see from the main roads, but definately worth it.

I count patrons at various theaters. I spend a lot of time at these theaters, Fri Sat, and Sun. I am in the theater for both matinee and evening shows. By far, the staff at this theatre are courteous to the customers and management. They are customer service driven, and focus on the patrons. I am also impressed by the work ethic they show. There is no standing around, they always find something to do without being asked. Big thumbs up to the staff and management!

Six Forks Cinema is a fantastic neighborhood theater. They always have an excellent choice of first-run movies. The staff is polite and professional. The grandkids love the popcorn and Icees. My wife and I appreciate a choice of wine or beer. The seats and floors are well-maintained and clean. We love having this theater tucked away near our North Raleigh home. If you are tired of looking for parking or waiting in lines, watch your next movie here.

My favorite place for family movie night or when I dont feel like taking out a second mortgage to go to the movies. Wine and beer for the grown ups and affordable snacks for the kids. They also have great popcorn for everyone. No stadium seating, but the theaters are smaller so I never have had a bad seat. They are also kept very clean and the staff are friendly.

Hats off to Six Forks Cinema! Nothing fancy but everything you really need, and you wont find anywhere that beats the price. Unless youre specifically looking for a 3D showing, support your local neighborhood cinema and ignore the multiplexes, because if it goes it cannot be replaced. Go somewhere the teens on staff are smiling instead of looking bored.

this is our favorite movie theater in raleigh, we go at least once a month (twice if a lot of good movies are coming out) and love that they have matinee prices, student prices and yummy popcorn and $1 refills! our go to date night and we always leave happy and excited for our next cinematic adventure at Six Forks Cinemas!

Ordinarily a great movie experience, but this time, on a 39 degree night and although the lobby was warm and cozy, the theatre was without heat. I was even more disappointed when I complained several times and my complaints were ignored by the manager. This has happened in the past at Six Forks.. So it can be a problem.

This place is a bit of a relic, but I love coming here. It is clean, has great service and it is the cheapest movie theater in the area. I can get a popcorn, a movie ticket and a beer for less then fifteen dollars, which is always awesome. I can even bring my little sister there, because it is family friendly.

Just recently started attending this movie theater. Great prices and never too crowded compared to other larger theaters. Was never too fond of theater popcorn but tried Six forks popcorn based on reviews and its SO GOOD. Bought another bag twice during a screening. Nice draft beer selection, too!

Staffed by polite folks, clean, and not only do they serve beer, but good beer! Yuengling, Newcastle, and Sierra Nevada were on tap when I went to see John Carter. A classic old-school (by modern lights) movie house. No need for stadium seating--just a nice theater. Love this place.

Terrific all-around experience. The movies are always first-run, prices are great, the staff is friendly, popcorn is the best in town and parking is a breeze. Beer and wine sales are a nice bonus. My first choice when taking the family out to see a movie!

Cheap, comfortable seats, well appointed. For someone with back/neck issues, these seats are far better than the trendy cushy seats. Bathrooms are a bit sketchy. Great sound and video, and the people are super nice. Our new favorite theater.
