The theater in general is a very good theater but this so called improvement with the dream lounge seats and the electronic reserving system for your seats is very stupid. Last night I went to the theater with 2 of my friends to see Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 We were going to a 10:50PM showing and we got there at around 10:25PM. Getting to a movie 25 minutes early in the past was not a problem, especially at this time of night, but we got there and there were only a couple of seats left that we could reserve and they were all spread out across the theater. We decided that we didnt want to see the movie if we couldnt sit next to each other so we bought tickets to the 11:20 movie instead. At this point we are there 50+ minutes early and when they gave us an option of choosing our seats this time there was still not three seats together! This reservation system has ruined this theater if it is going to be this hard to see a movie with your friends. If you get to the theater 50 minutes early you should not have to be fighting for your seat. Part of the problem is that you can now buy tickets and reserve seats online which makes it nearly impossible to find a couple of seats if you buy your tickets physically.

I bought the 10 ticket Sunday passport because I have two young children and I was told I could use it for the whole family to go to a movie. When I got there, the ticket booth attendant Leanne told me I could only use one spot and had to buy the rest of the tickets. That means I would have to go ten different Sundays and buy everyone tickets, or go by myself. Anyone with kids knows how impossible this is. The worst part was that the attendant didnt even offer to make good on what we were initially told for the movie we had already driven down there to see. They should have stood by their word. I already put up with the insane popcorn and soda prices EVERY time I go see a movie there. Bad business sense on their part and WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

New seats suck! Every time something in my pockets hit the buttons they adjust the seat, plus it is always uncomfortably hot. They never have any independent films. Would it hurt to put an independent film on one screen instead of showing older films I already own on bluray? And they dont have a single imax screen. If I wanted to see a movie in imax Id have to drive 2 and a half hours just to see it. They always have 3D, which is a waste of money and time! Get rid of the 3D and install an imax screen. Might as well wait to see the movies at the Riv. Cheaper price and no reserved seating. Here is an idea Marcus why dont you upgrade the screens before the seats! The whole point of seeing a movie is the visuals. Idc how plushy the stupid seats are!

Was most impressed by witnessing staff (manager included) cleaning theaters (floors, steps and seats) between showings. Appreciate efforts to get people to the presentation they want to see (advance online sales, ticket machines in entrance and full staff to sell and take tickets). Quality concessions, wait staff and plenty receptacles for waste. And of course, variety of good presentations and planning ahead for audience size and their comfort. Parking lots are accessible, well lit and safe (including snow & ice removal.

I am very disappointed. Came here Friday June 16th because Marcus cinema in lacrosse posted there would be lightning McQueen that kids could take pictures next to and see. Get here and its just two race cars neither are from the cars movie or lightning McQueen. I promised him he would be able to see him so he was very upset! We came today because it was posted there is a cars party, get here today and they dont have that either. My son was promised multiple things and didnt get either! Very upset child and upset mom.

This place needs massive renovations. I recently saw a movie in the main theater and it was awful. The screen has deteriorated to the point that it affects the visual presentation of the movie. Also the clarity is fairly cloudy and even the projection on the screen is dim. I really only go to about 6 movies a year (and was completely spoiled by the amazing new Marcus facility in Sum Prairie) but after my experience in La Crosse, Im most likely going to chose to go to Eau Claire or Winona to see a movie next time.

Way too expensive, theater was not cleaned well before the last movie I saw. I know things cant always be perfect, but you should at least sweep up the pop corn. There was soda on the floor, cell phones going off. Not a very good experience. Wish we had other options in La Crosse than to wait for it to go to the Rivoli. 3D movies are $4 more expensive AND you have to give the glasses back? That is ridiculous. Overall, I think there needs to be serious improvement.

Didnt go there. Was going to and wanted to know how much ticket prices were. Called the given phone number .... no answer. Called again .... still no answer. And since when do you have to buy tickets for a movie online through some Fol-de-ral site or whatever? What happened to walking up to the box office, paying cash for your ticket, and enjoying your overpriced popcorn and soda?

I notice every time we come here there is always something new and improved like their new seats and we love $5 Tuesdays where you can see brand spanking new movies for just $5 so cool. We recently just saw Wonder Woman and Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 and those seats are a great improvement. Overall we love coming here and will be back very soon!

Many new seats are in. The place seems clean in the RestRoom but like it needs WALLS done HD style. All the carpets are already aged. Speakers VOLUME is kept in a range palatable to human ear damage. Attention needs to be done to include the DIALOGUE sound levels being GOOD and audible when the Screen Players are whispering too.

Decent enough theater, but it would be great if theyd answer their phones. Let the phone ring for 5 minutes and gave up. It would be nice to get answers to questions that I have about the theater and movie show times since I often find inconsistencies between Google, their website, and what it actually says in the theater.

Movies were great and the people there were really nice exept one guy at the front desk but I lost something and they couldnt find it. If u want to call u will get a answer machine no one ever picks up. The theater was nasty. Almost everyone had there phone on and was talking. Everything there is way to expensive.

When the previews begin the lights dim somewhat, but when the movie begins the lights dont dim enough. I can still see everyone in the audience. Dim the lights more please. Also Marcus needs to upgrade this theatre. Other theatres in somewhat larger cities are beautiful. This one is just so so.

As far as theaters go, this place is very nice. Recently upgraded to the MDX screens and it does look great. But if you get any snacks at all, it is a minimum of $40 for two people to see a show. Just be patient and wait until it comes to the Rivoli a few weeks later.
