We went here for a pre-valentines day thing. Saw Zoolander 2. Before the movie they were showing old footage from black and white fashion shows and zoolander promos and that was so much better then when theaters show those same lame pre-movie advertisements and trivia games. The seating was wonderful but it wasnt until we were buying the tickets did it become apparent this was an assigned seating situation. Knowing that in advance Ill be smarter about tickets but I got shafted on seeing the 8:00 showtime I wanted because all the consecutive seats were sold out. We ordered Loaded French Fries - The fries were cooked to perfection but we felt really skimped on the toppings, especially considering we ordered with no bacon. After the first 6 bites we were basically just eating normal fries Caramel Milkshake - Tasted like it was made with straight up cool whip. Maybe thats how some people like it but we found it hard to finish Cookie Trio - I loved these cookies but you only get 3 for $6 dollars and they dont tell you that you only get 3 cookies on the menu. It just says "plate of cookies" Popcorn with Parmesan Herbs - The popcorn was great and we enjoyed the herb option but you only get 1oz of popcorn seasoning for 1$, and I dont think anyone here would value parmesan and herb blend at $16 p/lb. Peach Tea Old Fashioned - Girlfriend said she liked it a lot. We didnt get any of the drinks off the menu which seems to be one of the primary appeals of the business but we had an absolute blast even with all these little things being a nuisance. They have theme nights and various events that we think would be fun to attend and will be back in the future

We live a respectable drive distance away from the Loudon Alamo Cinema Drafthouse, so weve only ever been able to visit twice (Guardians of the Galaxy and Inside Out) when we happen to be in the area for other reasons. Both visits have been very enjoyable and pleasant. The food menu is excellent. If only we had these types of options at all theaters! The reserved seating is a god-send. Why all theaters dont offer this is a mystery. It avoids the drawback of having to arrive early and seems to eliminate some of the more annoying movie patrons (the talkers, late arrivers, and would you mind moving down a few seats so I can get the good seats I was too busy to arrive early for" people). The staff is great. We had the unfortunate experience of the fire alarms going off 15 minutes before the end of Inside Out. The movie stops and the lights come out. We all file out and stand in the blazing heat for about 15 minutes before being allowed back in. I was expecting them to offer apologies and a rain check for another viewing (though it was a good movie, I didnt want to sit through it again just to see the last 15 minutes). To my surprise, they staff let us know that they would restart the movie where it stopped, as soon as everyone was able to take their seats again. So we were able to finish the movie, although it took a little longer than expected. I would definitely any movie fan to experience this theater. I wished we lived closer so that we could go more frequently. They frequently offer special showings of older movies and cult classics, which Ive heard are a lot of fun.

I love Alamo Drafthouse Cinema: -Wide selection of old and new movies -Reserved seating -Strict texting and talking policies -Super staff -Unparalleled unique experience of being served food and drink during movies BUT... WARNING for those going to Alamo Drafthouse Cinema on TUESDAYS before 2 pm: Regular shows on Tuesdays before 2 pm at Alamo Dafthouse Cinema are considered Baby Day shows--during these shows the sound is slightly reduced and the lights are left ON for the entire run time. When I went to purchase tickets for the show (in person), I wasnt told of these special Baby Day screenings, which is indicated by BD if you look up shows online (with no explanation as to what BD stands for) and signs on the doors, which I apparently did not notice. I would have expected some kind of auditory warning from the staff when buying tickets for a BD show...and it was disappointing to find out I was in a BD show after I had ordered food and drinks. So I feel a little let down that Alamo Drafthouse Cinema didnt do a better job at explaining Baby Day and making it more obvious to newcomers. So, yes, beware of Baby Day. Apparently its a thing...great for babies, bad for darkness-loving adults.

A movie theater with a full menu? Hellooo obesity! Joking. Who doesnt like to munch on things while watching movies? It is a pretty awesome theater. One of the best ones Ive been to. Its clean, has comfortable seats, and its reserved seating. The servers and host are super friendly. They have a strict policy on phones and noise. No late arrivals. The food is not too overly pricey, but it does adds up. They serve salads, burgers, sandwiches, and pizza. Also milkshakes and alcohol. Ive had the salted caramel milkshake, Mexican chocolate milkshake (for adults), and the avocado and pesto burger. Its all pretty good. Too much bun though. I dont like their toilets. Both times Ive been there, the automatic toilets didnt flush for me and I couldnt find the button to flush! Sorry for the next person, but I left ya a surprise! :( Another thing I dont like is that the tables are a little too high. If you have food or drinks, it obstructs your view. Maybe Im just short and need a booster seat. Its out of the way for me, but Id definitely go back to watch the big blockbuster movies!

This is my favorite movie theater ever. The Alamo chain is made for movie fans. They dont just show the recent releases but also special anniversary showings of classic movies, sing-alongs and quote-alongs, cult classics and so much more. Before the movie plays, rather than commercials they show interesting clips related to the movie. For example when we saw Star Trek there, they were showing clips from fan made films they found online as well as clips from some interactive Star Trek video board game from back in the day. Its both hilarious and awesome. Their food selection is great and their beers are amazing. They serve you right in your seats in the theater! They also take the movie going experience very seriously, movie talkers and texters are NOT welcome! They even have a strict kid policy, but they loosen that up on certain days and even show family friendly movies at discount prices. With now several movie theater options in the area, I will choose this one, hands down, every time.... unless they are sold out...

The idea behind Drafthouse is brilliant - NO cell phone use is allowed (you will get booted out of the theater), no kids under a certain age except at specified events, their events/parties are killer. My husband and I dont frequent the movies mostly because we choose to prioritize money spending elsewhere, so when we do go, we want a great experience. My minus-two-stars comes from their food and bar. HORRIBLE. The food is mediocre at best, but the same price youd pay at a quality sit-down restaurant (after all, it IS sort of a sit-down restaurant in itself). And the bar... OMG, the drinks are AWFUL. EVERY SINGLE TIME Ive ordered a cocktail, it is horrible. Either its watered down as though its been sitting out a while, or they just dont make it correctly. How hard is it to make a gin and tonic? Or a vodka/cranberry? Alamo, GET YOUR CONSUMABLES RIGHT! If youre going to include it as part of your service, do it WELL. Dont phone it in!
