In a time were it seems like your watching marketing instead of movies, its nice to experience a place that hasnt inflated prices and sold out to the new minimall style ambiance theaters have decided to go for. Its a nosalagic and wonderful theater with extremely well priced matinees at six dollars before five and a consesion deal that gives you two jumbo popcorns two large drinks and two large candies for an astonishing sixteen dollars. Its a simple theater to enjoy a simple past time concept. A movie with family and others you care about, always a pleasure to attend a movie, the owner PJ is hands on and has a passion for movies and his theater; which is not something in this day and age we find everywhere a pride and passion for ones business is more rare then steak sometimes. As far as PJ and this theater its well done and has, old school flavor!

I went to go see a movie that was R rated, Im under age I went to the stand hoping hed let me go and he didnt. Im not giving this 1 star review because he didnt let me go Im writing it because he was very disrespectful and snotty. After I asked for the tickets he said no with an attitude and said Im under age with out an adult. I then got my mom who said it was ok that I see the movie and he responded with yet another very disrespectful attitude. I now found out that he was the owner which speaks for itself. After that happened I immediately went to the theatre in Coram and did the same thing and got in easily without the attitude.

I used to go to those fancy big theaters but I discovered that they didnt clean the floors, didnt fix broken restrooms, didnt care about their customers and I discovered that PJ cinemas does all of that and more. They hosted a lovely birthday party for my son that was not only affordable but delightful. I continue to use them as my primary theater because PJ cinemas is a great place to go with the nicest staff around, and the by far the best prices.

Probably the cheapest cinema in the local area. The lower price doesnt seem to reflect a lower quality - the cinema is pretty nice, with comfortable seats and plenty of room for those of us with long legs. They usually have a pretty good selection of the current releases. Snacks and drinks seem to be reasonably priced (not the usual cinema rip-off). I also like that they offer late-night shows, which avoid kids for the more popular movies.

This place is about getting your moneys worth. It is plain and simple less expensive then your regular theaters. The seating for each movie is probably a quarter of that of the big chain theaters. I love their popcorn and the prices make you smile and taking your family out will not set you back a mortgage payment. The seating is fine. The sound can be upgraded is my only real negative. Parking is never a problem.

My family & I have been coming to this local theater for years. The coupons are always great & very helpful. We appreciate the family business feel. The concession stand pricing is fair for a change compared to some big box theaters on Long Island. If you want to support a nice small town family theater than this is the place. I will continue coming here & recommend this business to all my friends and family.

This movie theaters sucks . The employees are complete assholes. They were rude and disrespectful. I wanted to watch a rated PG 13 movie, but the manager said " i needed to be 16 or older to watch the movie", and then made it a big deal. He argued with us and been a jerk. We then went to MovieLand-Coram movie theaters. We went in there without any problems. If you wanna go to the movies, dont come here.

We have been going to PJ Cinema for years. We love it! it is family owned, they always have the latest movies, great choices for a group. You can always find a seat and it is not crowded -- the audiences are great, the theaters are not huge; you feel like you are seeing a movie with friends in a private screening room. The snack bar is satisfactory, and not so expensive. There is plenty of parking.

I really like this theater. It is one of the few around were 2 people can see a movie for under 20 bucks. Its clean and the concessions are not priced like your at a ball game. My only complaint is now that Im over 200 pounds and the seats are a bit tight. P.s. They also have coupons online for discounted entry and concessions.

We have come to this theater got 30 plus years. What makes it so great is that the owner ( who is by no means nasty) employs great people. He keeps out the riff raff who dump preadolescent kids off to ruin everyone elses movie experience. He does not have 20 minutes of previews like Loews. I wish more theaters were like this.

By far the BEST place to watch a movie with the kids! under $20 bucks for 3 tickets pop corn soda and candy, watch for promotions to bring the movie ticket to Supermarket for $2 pizza and the Froyo place for a Sunday.... Not only is the staff SUPER friendly but the place is ALWAYS clean. We love this place.

This place is the greatest. My only problem which fortunately most people wont encounter here is the owner. He seems mentally disturbed in the most oppressive, obnoxious and miserable way possible. He casts a shadow over what otherwise would be a wonderful throwback movie theater.

Frequent customer.. Never had a complaint. Dont understand the few complaints from other posters. The management offers a a clean, welcoming environment for viewers, and thats what you receive. Perhaps some customers believe they should receive special accommodations or treatment?

We have been going to pjs for years and love it. When you call for showtimes a recorded message is played and the owners brief description is really enjoyable. Beats the competition by a landslide - prices, popcorn freshly popped and great atmosphere.

far away but worth it. Best ticket prices, popcorn, candy. Cant find a better movie theatre. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Owner is a super nice guy. They dont make em like this anymore. Support this theatre or it might one day disappear.

Guy at ticket counter always has a joke--eve the corny ones are good. Popcorn is Freshly made not like that crap at Chains and prices are great for family looking to have a fun night out together.

Best theater for kids and families, hands down! The owner and his staff are welcoming, kind, and appreciate their customers. Great selection of movies as well! Always our first choice!!
