The course itself is pretty good but the staff leaves a lot to be desired. We made a tee time on the phone for my son and I. When we arrived at the clubhouse the two employees went through a Laurel and Hardy routine because none of the computers talk to each other and they didnt know where the reservation was. They ended up having to enter it again. While playing the foresome ahead of us let us play through. Right after we left the green a staff member pulled up in a cart and told me to speed up because we were holding up progress. I explained that we had just played through. "Well, youre way behind the group ahead of you. Pick up the pace". We caught up to the group ahead of us at the next tee and spent the next three holes waiting on them so we could tee off. On the 8th hole we also had to wait because the idiots on 11 insisted on playing a ball that was just off the cart path on the far side of the 8th fairway from the 11th. They were literally hitting all the way across the 8th fairway to get their ball back into play. No staff anywhere to be seen during this time. Keep in mind while all of this was going on we never saw the group behind us. Sure, were the ones holding up progress. Bottom line. We paid for 18 holes and quit after nine. We wont be back. Completely amature operation.

The course overall at Palatine Hills is well maintained and is a difficicult but fun course to play at. You cant say the same about the employees though. The employees were very rude and treated you as if you were a criminal. They tell you to pick up the pace even if you are on the green while the group in front of you is just teeing off. I went to make a tee time online and the final call took 3 minutes. It was like the person on the phone was deaf. I had to repeat all of my information at least 3 times, the person on the phone took a while to actually respond to what I was saying, at the proshop it took them 5 minutes to actually find my reservation. They werent friendly about it either. The players on the course have no eticit on have no respect for others. We paid for 18 holes but stopped at . 1/5 stars I am never playing there again.

The staff working the field can be compared to the Gestapo. They drive on carts putting you under their microscope with an iron fist. I went there with my son to play, however he was just going with me for some quality time with me as he does not play himself. They hassled me to an enormous extent over having someone with me who didnt pay to play, even though he was just tagging along and not causing a back up on the course. What was intended to be a relaxing round of golf with my son turned into a nightmare. They will yell at you for doing almost anything else outside of golfing like a robot. There are plenty of other courses in the area that dont treat their customers like prisoners of war.

The good is that it doesnt back up too badly and has a good mix of long and short holes. If it rains or has rained recently, it has TERRIBLE drainage so pick another course. The range has mats year round which nobody likes. For the rate they charge, there are MUCH better courses in the area than this one. The weekday rate gives you a TINY price break where other courses run specials. The closing 18th hole is one of the worst finishing holes I have ever played.

This track is nice for a public course especially with all the traffic on it. However dont expect good service from the reservation staff. They often give the impression that your phone call to ask about a tee time is putting them out. Based on the service I wont be playing here very much, which is too bad because the course is a block away from my house. Needless to say customer service isnt their strong suit.

Beautiful scenery with wide fairways and easier holes. The pace was excruciatingly slow today to the point where we abandoned the last four holes (they were cart path only from flooding to be fair) but the group ahead backed us up quite a bit. May possibly return on a weekday.

For a round of golf and fair price Palatine Hills Golf Course is a good pick. Some nice challenging holes but as a whole anyone can golf here. If youre looking to get a little more exercise and save a few bucks you can go after 5pm and walk the course for only $10!

Couse is in great shape, a fun couse to play and a fair test of your golfing skills. Prices are in line with the area and 9 hole family golf is a great deal at $12. I like that most 9 hole rounds take 2 hours and the overall pace is great!

This is a great public track. No two holes are alike. Complaints about staff are unfounded. Ive know the team for almost 15 years and they are very cordial, friendly group. Great value on a well manicured course. Come and enjoy.

Still have problems with flooding on the last four holes and still have big problems with slow pace of play on weekends, but overall a nice, playable municipal course in above average condition when dry.
