There have been a lot of negative reviews of this theater and they really didnt pan out for me. Ive now seen three movies here, two 2D and one 3D, all in different theaters. Relatively clean (it is a movie theater). The sound and screens are not bad. Seats are pretty comfortable. None of this blew me out of the water or anything, but I really couldnt complain about anything other than the price, which feels a few bucks too expensive. Im guessing the price is to counteract the surprising lack of people that seem to go to the movies there. To give you an idea of how packed you can expect it, I saw Arrival at 8 on the Friday it came out, and there were about 20 people in the theater. I saw Dr. Strange a few weeks after it came out at 9 on a Thursday, and my friends and I were the only ones in the theater. I saw Fantastic Beasts the Friday it came out and there were 40 to 50 people in a 200 seat theater. tl;dr: Its better than most seem to say, the best seats are usually available, but still a little pricey.

The worst therater I have ever been to. All the seats are moldy, prices are way to high and theyre very rude. It cost me and my friend 21.50$ for 2 tickets. When I went there the so called manager threatened to kill me because I said that the therater is disgusting. Its much more worth it to go to Holiday Cinemas 14 in Wallingford. Its a bit more of a drive but is cheaper all the seats are leather recliners, free refills on any soda and it costs 7$ when not matinee. I honestly think that the health inspector and Better Business Bureau needs to close this place down. The Floors were sticky and it was very unsanitary. If you like spending 6$ on a waterbottle, spending an arm and a leg, and sitting on 27 year old chairs with hair and gum on it, then by all means.

This place sucks because its over price and the chairs are so freaking old need upgrade stains on it like I dont feel comfortable sitting seeds with a lot of germs on it there chairs looks nasty af staff is always distracted with something Alway on there phones looking up IG or Twitter smh my girlfriend isnt allowed to bring her book bag since she hates carrying purses they gives her a hard time getting in stupid rides maybe if they didnt had to price so freaking high maybe people wouldnt try to sneak stuff in the first place its the owners fault failed even upgrade the chair are so comfortable and youre 27 years old seats like to been there forever need to upgrade it now

A decent theater with a nice rewards club. Seats are comfortable and the crew seems to keep the place clean. The down side is that all but one or two screens are very small, and this is definitely one of those theaters that doesnt calibrate their digital systems as often as they should. I have to say that I usually end up at the bargain price shows, so some of these issues may not happen during prime-time, but many times Ive been to this theater when there has been a tech issue, sound or related to image focus, screen projection. Sometimes they have been able to correct it, sometimes not. But they were always good about refunds if they couldnt address the issue.

Always smells, the employees are young and unprofessional. Always moody or rowdy. Worst part though? That painted faces on the entire back of building. Seriously its really creepy. Thats a deterrent honestly. There are much nicer theatres on the Berlin tpke, Manchester just to name a few. I cant get over that painting. Its like that movie Chucky- those are all his buddies. It needs to go.... havent met a single person with anything nice to say about it. This theatre needs a reno.

Edit: They just pretty much more than doubled their ticket prices and removed most discounts. Also did not lower snack/drink prices so they have lost my business due to this move. This place has very good movie prices and is always clean. The down side is the snack and drink prices, they are really really high unfortunately. I would have to pay more than double what my movie ticket was to get a large popcorn and soda.

Well done space which feels new. Lovely sized screening rooms. Vibrant sound & excellent digital quality. Comfortable seating. Bathrooms are immaculate. I dont buy snacks so I cant comment on the foodstuffs. Even Dinglewood Drive has finally been repaved. I hope nothing changes as Im quite pleased. Especially with holiday prices. Happy New Year..

Going down hill fast. Tic.prices keep going up .staff can care less. Soda price way up plus never mixed right . snacks are over priced more then normal sneek ur own.dirty bathrooms. Floor sticky. Movies never start on time and either pic not showning only voice track. Until someone points it out to staff who seem not care. Some seats broken .

Beautiful, comfortable seating with morning prices that are quite reasonable. Popcorn and soda a bit pricey but the theaters are clean & the sound is great. Altogether I would recommend it as a good time. Prices probably represent a lack of customers as they dont make their margin on volume.

Lies to customers. Doesnt honor their own promotions. Manager refused to do anything. Called Josh, the general manager and he didnt even have voicemail and wouldnt be in for 2 days. Additionally, their prices are absurd. $5.25 For a small soda. $6.50 For a small popcorn.

I havent been here in over a decade, since it was Destinta Theaters, but I was in town visiting family for the holidays, so we came here to see Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them. The theatre staff was very attentive, lines moved quickly, and everything was very clean.

If youre from Middletown this is a great spot to see a movie. Its centrally located to all the bars and restaurants, and the picture quality is good. Its not as upscale as the AMC in Plainville, but I go here more often because its cheaper and more convenient.

Nice place but food always taste old. Last night we got popcorn and bite size pretzels. Pretzels very hard and popcorn tasted extremely old. This is the second time we purchased when we hv come to this place to give it another try but still bad.

This is by far the best movie theater around. The admission ticket prices and bottomless popcorn are values that cannot be beat! Staff is always friendly, helpful and the place is always clean. We love going to the Metro Movies!

This is an amazing movie theater. The seats are comfy, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The food is delicious and everything is quite clean. I see all these negative reviews and know they are inaccurate.

They have first-run movies. Been disappointed recently as their pricing went back up to what you find elsewhere, but theyre not keeping up with the maintenance of the theater. Chairs need cleaning, walls looking dingy....

I really like this local movie theater in Middletown, Its a Small Town Theater, seems independent, but is always extremely clean and has comfortable seating. The screens are large and the projection and sound are wonderful.
