WORST THEATER EVER Ive been to Movieland three times now- I usually go to Loews or PJ Cinemas. Movieland has been terrible enough to warrant my first ever review written online. The first time, we went to see Moonrise Kingdom and there was a large group of loud teenagers that we asked to be quiet. No luck and no help from staff, but okay maybe not their fault either. We went approximately 1.5 months ago to see The Conjuring. Movieland had set up a Childrens Party literally right next door to the theater- I said something to a staff member and there was absolutely no change. The children were screaming during the entire movie, ruining any suspense it may have had. At the end, they gave us four free passes (without me asking for them) when I said that the noise never abated. We went back tonight to see the Worlds End figuring we couldnt possibly have such terrible luck a third time. A crackhead family came in about 20 minutes into the movie- with three terribly behaved children (completely inappropriate movie for them)- and upon entering the lovely woman in the family loudly exclaimed "What the f*** where are they". They proceeded to filter into the front row and talk literally nonstop. Asked them politely to be quiet once, twice, three times. The guy with the family left and came back loudly multiple time and was clearly wasted. When we left the theater he was walking around the lobby with an open can of beer. This place is an absolute joke and not worth your time unless youre a low life who enjoys talking through movies. When I complained to the staff and pointed to the guy clearly waltzing through their lobby wasted with a beer in hand, the guy came up to me and started threatening me. They offered us more free passes but I would never go back to this theater, we ripped up the two we still had. And Im a poor graduate student so saying no to something free is not common. Dont go here.

Much better than the last time I went there back in 2004 when I was in the 2nd grade. This place used to be horrible, (The food was disgusting, the chairs had stains on them as if someone peed on them, the staff was lazy, and worst of all we had to witness a family brawl while the movie "The Incredibles" were playing. Boy were my parents so upset that day) but now this place has gotten better! The staff is very nice and when you go their more often they start to know who you are, the movie theater rooms are very nice and and very clean and the seats are very comfy than the ones back in 2004. I gotta say this movie theater has come such a long way. Things could only get even better in the future. :) And you only have to pay like $5 per person. Excellent Price! I highly recommend this movie theater!

The Walmart of movie theaters. Somehow manages to attract the worst people on Long Island. Have been there three times and each time there have been drunk/rude/whatever people disrupting the entire movie. They let a guy in with an open beer can. I complained after the second time and they gave me four free passes - I ripped up the last two after going the third time and having some crackhead family talk and come in and out during the entire movie. Its literally not worth going to this place for free. PJ Cinemas right down the road is a million times better or just take the extra time to go down to Loews. I hope this place gets closed down.

For an "older" theater the place is good. The price for a ticket is great and I hate spending 60 dollars to go to the movies with the family before even hitting the concession stand so this place fits the bill. Concession stand is pricey just like everywhere else (Except for PJCinemas!!) I like the reclining seats, very comfortable. Theaters are small so the sound feels bigger than it is. Not super clean but not dirty either. Bathrooms worked!

Tix prices are reasonable, popcorn is the best and you get a free refill when buying the large or jumbo. Seating is decent- on popular movies they have a bigger theater than other shows which may not be as popular shown in smaller ones. Clean for the most part also. Bottom line- Its not going to compare in sound/picture quality that maybe youd get from Island 16 or Lowes, but you also wont go broke taking your two kids to go see a movie!

WORST MOVIE THEATER EVER the seats are ugly and it is so small it is ugly and gross I usually go to regal in dear park Loews or pj cinemas the theater is so thin and the seats are so tall when you are short it sucks the movie doesnt even fill up the screen I would rather watch the movie when it comes out and I can watch it at home when you first walk in it is so small and although the prices are low I would never recamend this place

For the money you cant go wrong at this theatre. The staff is really nice and pleasant. The screens are small but the seats are very comfortable. Concession is decent, pricey but not outrageous like Loews or Island 16. Small local theaters like this one and PJ Cinemas are endangered. Yes, they are a little outdated but I would rather support a small local theatre than a huge multiplex.

They have the most comfortable seating in the area for a local theater. The ticket prices are fair compared to big box theaters on Long Island. They have a wide selection of snacks & drinks there not cheap but most theaters concessions are priced very high. They have security to help keep the Teenie Boppers away from the establishment. Ill keep coming back to the theater.

I have been going here since I was eight years old. When I was younger the theater was not as nice as it is now. The Theater has re done the seating which now is plush leather and extremely comfortable. The food is still over priced but they do have a much better selection than most movie theaters in the area. Its a nice place to see a movie with your family.

You are better off watching a movie at home. The worst experience ever. The lobby is smaller than my kitchen, the theater has the weirdest layout. Its just very outdated and very ugly. The seating is terrible and the screens are so small you are better off watching a movie in the comfort of your own home. I recommend Regal Cinemas at The Arches in Deer Park.

Me and my girlfriend always come to this local movie theater due to its low prices and quick staff members that keep up with the line for popcorn. When you walk in, youre in a blue room with the scent of buttered popcorn, and cant wait any longer to watch the movie. Satisfaction guaranteed.

SAVE YOURSELF, YOUR MONEY, AND YOUR TIME. By far the absolute WORST and SMALLEST movie theater EVER on long island. The lobby is smelly, extremely ugly (white trash ugly) and outdated. Poor seating, screens very, very, SMALL. Poor staff. Should be closed down.

WOW!! We held our sons 8th birthday here, and the staff was so accommodating. They made his day so special. It was so refreshing to see young adults from the community provide such great service. Thank you again!! Continue to make our community a GREAT one!!
