Ive been going to movies here since it first opened, when it was a state of the art theater to Lansing and its old AMC theaters. I also go to many shows at the newer NCG theater at Eastwood Town Center. There isnt anything wrong with this theater, because I still go here, I dont consider it the best Lansing has to offer anymore, NCG is a far better theater. Not all theaters rooms in this Celebration have new seating, or good seating, it seems only the large screen rooms have the actual good seats. The Soda machines are very dated, compared to the new soda machines at NCG this are extremely outdated, Im sure they plan on adding new ones soon. Ticket prices across the board are too high, the classic movies only cost $4 so thats a decent buy, but even then your watching the classics on the smallest screen they offer, in the worst seats still in the theater, so I dont know if $4 is a fair deal. Im not a fan of the IMAX they offer, its the only IMAX Ive seen, so I cant compare it to another, but NCG does now have the Xtreme screen, its theater room has far more space, the seats are A LOT better, the whole setup feels better, if you been there you know what I mean, it feels like your going and watching in a high class Cinema. While to me IMAX seems and feels like your right on top of the screen, its seats are just too close to the screen. Plus a downside to IMAX is you need to pick your seat when buying the ticket, and its not cheap. I think NCG is $5 cheaper for the Xtreme, plus you dont have to pick your seat, you just go in like any regular time and pick your seat, like it should be. Some other gripes, the bathrooms seem dated, like they havent been updated in 10 years. And the lobby just feels dated as well, compared to NCG. Im not a fanboy of either cinema as both are good, but Celebration in Lansing could take a few ideas off what the NCG theater has become in Lansing, last updates I recall have been the Dbox & IMAX, but it doesnt seem like they updated any other part of the theater, wish they would of.

Although there are multiple different theatres in our area and also others just a few miles away we seldom go anywhere else other than Celebration Cinema. Since they removed the older, normal seats we all were used to and replaced them with the extremely comfortable reclining seats I dont want to go anywhere else. When you enter you have two lines to purchase tickets as well as two kiosks to use. We always purchase ours online and go directly to the ticket greeter where they scan my phone using the barcode that was sent to my confirmation email. If you arrive early or want to hang out after, they have a great area to play video games, pinball, prize machines, and basketball games. Lots of combos at the concessions area, popcorn with real butter when requested at a small additional cost and free refills. Hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, candy, etc and self serve pop/beverage areas also with free refills. The theatres are up to date with amazing sound quality. 3D and Imax is also available. If your into life size stand ups they also sell them.

All the theaters have great reclining seats. Which is why they are receiving 2 starts instead of just one. The problem you ask? Cleanliness. A combination of both entitlement and the workers not doing their job caused me to have to pick up other peoples trash out of my seat. As well was grab a wet napkin to wipe the greasy butter off of my seat cushion. Not normally that big of a deal, whatever its an inconvenience. But, the butter from the popcorn bag had leaked out onto the seat and we had paid $9.50 a ticket. A price that should promise a clean, at least cleanish, seat. But no some entitled people couldnt be bothered to carry out their garbage and the workers had not cleaned the theater from the previous movie (not that the seat looked as if it had been cleaned, ever). Thats Southside for you I now remember why I havent been here in 2 years and prefer NCG or regal. And before you say "You should have just sat somewhere else" I would have loved to but I cant as you pick out your seats at the time of purchase.

Upon entering the establishment I was greeted with a fine array of lights, the allure of the arcade in the distance and the comforting "Box Office" where two employees dispatched tickets to eager movie-goers. I was especially happy to see an ATM near the entrance, because I often need to transfer funds before purchases. There was a very nice lady at the counter by the name of Sarah that greeted me with a smile and delighted in joking around with me. Sarah was especially knowledgeable about every movie and was able to recommend a movie to me that she thought Id enjoy. There were multiple employees at the concession stand, making my stop there swift and easy. The seats in the theater were clean and comfortable, nothing to complain about. I enjoyed my entire experience at Celebration Cinema!: Lansing

Almost everything was fantastic. The service was lovely, the seating is amazing and so so comfortable, and the snacks were delicious. Theres one thing that kind of puts a damper on things though. There are reserved seats now so you have assigned seating. You still get to choose any available seats, but sometimes you might have to come back at a different time for your film. This is just a little tiny thing that is kind of annoying, but they have many seats so really thetes nothing to worry about. The arcade is fun, and they have many cardboard cut outs for sale. Bathrooms are always clean and everyone is always happy. I definitely recommend you going to this theatre when your in the mood to see a film.

Great place to see a movie, great rewards program, and overall concessions are good. I would make 3 suggestions to make this the perfect movie destination. 1). The recliner seats. Make the footrest and the back move independently. Currently, for me to raise the footrest where I want it, Im practically lying on my back. Great for napping, not so good for watching movies. 2). More diet drink selections. Not all diet drinkers want a cola (Mountain Dew available now). I realize Celebration is a Pepsi shop, but NCG with the Coke Free Style machines has virtually unlimited choices. 3). I often go to the movies alone. It would be nice to have a combo option available suitable for 1 person.

Went to see a matinee here on Sunday July 10, had half a bag of small popcorn. Didnt even make it home before my stomach started to hurt and I felt nauseas. By that evening I was so sick my husband wanted to take me to the hospital. I was violently ill all night and had to go see my dr. the next day for dehydration and fever. When I called the theater to warn them about their popcorn the manager took an incident report and said she would "send it to corporate" not once did she apologize to me and she even told me to "have a nice night" after I had just finished telling her I was so sick I could hardly stand. Ill never go back to this theater again! Whatever you do beware the popcorn.
