As an avid moviegoer, I was highly disappointed in this theater and will never return. I usually go to the Grand, but I thought I would try this theater one night, as it is closer to my house. This turned out to be a mistake. The price was unusually high, higher than the Grand, which is significantly larger, nicer, and has a greater selection and more screens. The concessions were higher as well, and the posted combos were not cheaper than buying each item separately. The theater itself was small, with a slight mold smell, and mediocre sound quality. The inside of the building looks old and slightly unkempt, and the employees were slightly unfriendly. Overall, it was a negative experience, and I will certainly not be returning. Unfortunately, my experience at most Carmike theaters have been similar. I would recommend going to Regal Regency, which is about five more minutes down 23rd, or just heading to the Grand.

Seats were great. 2 cups holders per seat. Some armrests pivot up. Screen was large and clear. Surround sound was great. 3 adults and 2 children was $44 at 7 pm. Average. Popcorn bucket $12 special...refillable for the rest of 2014 for $3.75. Everything was clean. Only 10 ppl in theatre including our 5. We got there early. It must have been before the automatic AC came on in our theatre, because the mold, stale smell almost knocked us off our feet. Very soon the AC came on, it cooled down and the smell was not as bad. When I got home I was wheezing. I know its expensive to run AC all the time. Maybe, they need to close some their rooms from use and keep the others cooler/dryer to prevent mold build up. Many ppl can not tolerate mold.

Movie theater is okay. This is a back up if the beach is busy. The theater room is entirely too warm& for a theater having eight speakers for surround sound quality the sound should be much better. After going here twice in a row, with kids, i will be going to the Grand from here on out. They are a little higher in price but are truly worth the extra money & the drive. If this were a true budget theater and I was on an extremely tight budget it might be worth it, but Im sorry because its just isnt.

Ive been a fan of Carmike Theaters for years. They have a great loyalty program where you can earn points towards snacks and free tickets. I miss the theaters in their home town of Columbus, Ga. This theater is a little on the run down side for a Carmike but Im a loyal Carmike customer. They could use some new seats with lifting arms for more comfort when Im watching a movie with my honey. I love that they have a butter station.

Really Bad theater it smells, sound system is bad and screen resolution is now the worst in town. With the grand being only 10-15 minutes away do yourself a favor and Just drive the extra 3 miles, go to grand theater which much nicer, better screens, better sound and cheaper tickets, and guess what it 16 screen theater so the movie will guarantee to be there. Forget this movie theater and Drive to the grand much better experience

Prices to HIGH. Movie Theater sucks . My friend and I went to see Alice in Wonderland on Friday night, the movie started at 10:20pm. The screen sound was on but no show we waited for about 5mins with no screen. Therefore, I decided to go get the manger ( I found him) he said he is on his way to fix it. Okay the movie started it was good but it was a flicking mark in the picture up until almost the end of the movie.

Went to see Godzilla. Power went out. Waited for a while. Nobody came to explain what was going on or apologized when it came back on. Went to see Goosebumps. The curtain never pulled back so the movie was obscured. They turned off the movie and when it came back on the movie had progressed and they didnt rewind it. Again no explanation or apology. Also they dont have stadium seating so it stinks all around.

Three people working the front but only one register being used while there are people waiting. The hold up was them waiting for an ID for a man over sixty years old to buy a glass of wine. After they showed back up with the ID the girl that had been standing there finally went to the other register. Took just another five people coming in to wait for it to happen.

Purchased tickets online which was very easy. However, it was a rainy day and lots of people at the theater and very few ticket purchase/concessions lines open. Shouldnt purchase tickets and concessions from the same line. We waited in line for popcorn for probably 20 minutes. Our movie began. Just need to be prepared for rainy days with more staff.

Carmikes prices are high BECAUSE they only get 5 cents per ticket. In that case they have to raise the concession prices to keep the theater running. They have the best popcorn in panama city to be honest. Its always warm because they keep it in warmers. They also have really good deals w/ the buckets. The employees are always so nice as well.

Watching Despicable Me 3 and the projection doesnt fit on the screen. The sides show up on the curtains on the left and right of the screen. Paid full price expect to see the full screen. Will never come back and neither should you. Update: 3/4 way through they opened the curtains the rest of the way.

Carmike theaters tend to be really nice and this location is no exception. Really comfortable seating and fair concession prices. At times Ive noticed a real problem with the cleanses of the floors and butter stations but, it isnt enough to detract from the overall experience.

Since AMC took over from Carmike, it seems like they have updated their equipment and screens! Popcorn is the best out of any theater in town and my family always has to have popcorn. I really enjoy the discounts they have on Tuesdays, a great day to go!

The management team was unable to process a credit card with a chip, blamed it on the credit card (we called our card company and nothing was wrong). The manager was incredible rude blaming it on us rather than their technology. Very poor service.

Not the most modern movie theater but away from the hecticness of the main tourist area. Cheaper than the theater by the pier. Only have discounts for military. Overall had a positive experience when I went.

Smells like mold in EVERY theater. Most staff memebers are not friendly. They are very unorganized and every experience has just gotten worse. If I could give it a negative star I would! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

all carmikes are dirty all carmikes have sound issues. all carmikes have ac issues. I know movie theaters in general are this way, but carmikes are the cornerstone of crappy theaters

The theater was state of the art. The decor pleasing to the eye and the staff was friendly. The concession stand offers a variety of snacks and it serves alcoholic beverages too.

The seating floor is more flat than usual theaters but that doesnt effect your view. Very large theater area. Good sound and picture good alternate from Pier Park.

Carmike is the most ghetto theatre in Panama City. The seats are uncomfortable and dirty, it smells bad in there, the employees are rude, its just a gross theatre.
