THE CEILING FELL DOWN IN THE THEATER TODAY BECAUSE OF A WATER LEAK!!!!!!!! My husband and I are visiting from out of town. We went to go see the 2:15pm showing of Rogue One in 3D today on 1/2/17. The first thing that struck us is that there are no employees at the ticket booth. After standing around for about 5 minutes trying to see if there was a manager or someone that was not busy behind the counter, we finally walked up to the girl who rips the tickets. She said there is no longer anyone in the front and people have to buy tickets from the concession stand. That is pretty remarkable actually because there were 2 concession stands open and hardly any customers in the theater. It seems more logical and customer friendly then to have someone at the ticket booth and then someone behind the counter. In the theater, there was a ceiling leak right in the front two rows. No one had actually informed us or the other people sitting in the theater. There were probably about 20 people in the seats. Throughout the movie you heard the dropping of water in trashcan with water collected in the bottom. It was really loud and we didnt know what the sound was at first. We thought someone was kicking something on the floor. We saw someone come in and put paper towels in the trashcan and we saw him speaking to a man and his kids down on the front row. About midway through the film THE CEILING FELL DOWN!!!!!!!!! Luckily it didnt hit any customers!!!!! We continued sitting and watching the movie because we paid in total $24.76 for our two tickets (unbelievable that $12.38 is the matinee price- no wonder the movie theater was empty). I kept looking up throughout the movie trying to see if anything else was going to fall down. After the movie was over, I asked to speak to a manager because I wanted to report that the ceiling fell down and I felt very unsafe being put in that situation. His reply to me was that he informed the man on the floor that there was a leak. I asked him why he didnt inform everyone in the theater??? We didnt know how big the leak was and usually only what you see is the tip of the iceberg for a ceiling leak. He said that the roofers had been called and I asked him why didnt they close the theater room down??? What if someone was hit by a ceiling tile???? This is a health and safety issue. I told him that he needed to be careful because someone could have been injured!!! I find it completely unacceptable that the theater allowed a movie to play in a room in such conditions! There are plenty of movie rooms in that theater and they could have easily decided to close this room down until the problem was fixed. I told him that I am filing a formal complaint with the corporate office because obviously the theater does not take customer safety seriously. The Carmike Theater at the Summit is run down and customer service and safety is not a priority. I hope someone in the corporate office takes this situation seriously. I do not think that the manager was a bad guy, but he should be allowed to close down a theater room if it is in such conditions. The employees all need to have safety education and better management and crisis training.

You can ask questions all you want but no one knows the answers. And your rewards dont show up on your card till the next day. Never seen this done and any other theater you always get them as soon as you spend the money. What is really bad is while youre watching the end of the movie before the credits come up they have people come in with big garbage cans and shove it around making noise and before people can walk out of the theater there already sweeping and picking up garbage so if you forget something or want your Coke its too late. This is just flat-out rude. We stayed and watched 3 movies and this happens during each movie. And at the end of Kong there is a scene after all the credits but its hard to enjoy because theyre in there doing the cleaning and talking. This needs to be corrected . They really need to send employees in and check on the movie to make sure people are not talking or putting their feet up on the seat by your head. It was horrible I had to sit through an entire movie with a couple all excited about their day talking the entire movie.

Im giving it two stars since we did get to see the movie, but thats about all I can say was good about this theater. When we arrived, we were (fairly rudely and impatiently) waved inside by the people staffing the ticket kisok, and although the manager seemed nice, the situation was confusing for others behind us, as well. Once we got our tickets, the concessions, people were all perfectly nice, as was the usher taking tickets. It was once we arrived in the actual theater that the real ridiculousness started. It reached 10:00, and the movie hadnt started. By 10:15, some people had left, and someone went out to check to see what was going on. When they came back in, they told everyone that staff was going to "check it out, but they had no idea since no one had said anything." Who doesnt notice that the movie people have paid $11.00 to see hasnt started!? Thats the whole reason any of us were there! Ill definitely be going to Lee Branch in the future, and Id advise you to do the same.

I went to go see Pitch Perfect2 but without seeing the first one ...admit it weve all done that anyways we went and I saw the movie thinking it was the second and the next day when I saw my friend we started listening to music and she loves Both pitch perfect one an two and she said all the songs I herd where from the first and thats when I realized they showed th wrong movie and u dont know if they know but that is called lying but that experience did not affect me going there because that was once and it is a very convientent area to drive to and it does need to be updated but if youre like me you like the old fashioned look.

I had planned to take several children after a birthday party for a Sunday movie showing. The showing that I had planned on seeing was canceled. I made a phone call and spoke with the assistant manager, who has been nothing but polite, professional, and courteous the entire time. He told me to speak with the manager, Braden, who was equally as nice. Braden rescheduled that movie even though he had a booking for 300 guest coming in that day. He saved the day for us, and we will always tell everyone about this. Its very unusual that Customer Service is at this level of understanding and can empathize with someone!

Sad how run down this place has become. Starting from the deserted entrance area there was only one small ticket / refreshment area open on a busy Saturday afternoon with three uninterested staff unwilling to engage customers and get the lines moving. It was like it was their first day at work and the trainer disappeared! Paid almost $50 for 4 tickets to Cars 3 in 3D and Theatre 1 has a air conditioner going bad that totally drowns out any descent sound system. At times I thought the sound was part of the movie! Skip this place and drive to Lee Branch or Patton Creek.
