What a horrible excuse a golf course. I had been here once before, over 6 years ago. How times have changed! We had a tee time for 9 holes at 10am on Saturday Morning. When we arrived at 9:35, the guy in the pro shop told us he could get us on early...we were excited! Upon pulling up to the ranger, he directed us to start at hole 11, and drove us through the back way to get there...we agreed to it, and he told he that we would play a hole on the front 9 to get our full 9 holes in. Strange, but OK. Within 8 minutes of being on hole 11, we were on the green and preparing to put...there were people that were behind us now, waiting to tee off. They had asked if we were OK with them playing thru and going ahead of us. We were fine with this. Out of nowhere, as Im swinging my putter...the ranger comes to a screeching halt at the green and begins talking (while were putting). He is telling us that the guys behind us cant play through, its not allowed on their course...Oh, and that we were to go to hole 14 next. WHAT? I wasnt having this. He told us that we were almost too close to our 15 minute per hole (we were under by at least a couple of minutes, and could have been done by now, had he not interrupted our putting). He explained they had an outing coming through, and needed us to move holes. How is this my problem? Why did they sell us the 10am tee time, if they couldnt deliver? Why did they put us on early, if we were going to be shoved around? What a horrible customer experience to have to play some piece meal of a golf course. We immediately went back to the club house and the guy that sent us out early acted as if he had no idea what was going on (maybe he didnt, but I am having a hard time assuming this, as he was having us start at hole 11 and early). He asked me "whats wrong?" I explained the situation, and he said "I dont know who would have told you that you needed to move to hole 14, and I understand this isnt a good experience." What do you know...in comes the ranger that told us to move to hole 14, and he had nothing to say for himself when the guy in the club house was apologizing up and down...I promised the guy in the club house that I would voice my experience as it was going to be "great" for their business...so here it is! We received a full refund, plus $40/per person in vouchers to come back...but definitely wont need those. Ill pay $5 more to play on my home course of Pheasant Run ANY day to avoid such HORRIBLE customer service and experience. What a disaster. Do not waste your time or money on this place!

Rude is their #1 Policy. The Rangers there are terrible. All the time. Rude as hell. Move faster, dont park within 50 ft of the greens, dont go off the cart path, etc etc. I want to enjoy my round of golf, not get yelled at by Rangers like Im a 2 yr old kid who doesnt listen. This is the ONLY course in Michigan where I have this problem. I love the course but its not worth it.A LOT of people Ive played with here say the same thing. Heres what happened the last time I was here. One Ranger yelled at me for dricing too close to the green (I was a good 30 ft from it, if youre 50 ft away theyve yelled at me because I wasnt supposed to be on that SIDE of the green but on the cart path side instead- Who says?). Literally 30 seconds later I see a ranger drive right up on the edge of the green zooming along. I guess it doesnt apply to Rangers. I also see them all the time parking on the tee boxes yet they yell at everyone else? These are all old grumpy men that love to harass those that pay their bills. 2 holes later I have Gary (one of the angry over zealous Rangers there) driving accros fairways and cutting through areas so he can yell at me that Im supposed to stay on the cart path. I said to him obviously these rules dont apply to Rangers do they? Why dont you guys abide by these rules? He went ballistic telling me I need to do this and that or hell have me escorted off the course. When I finished the hole I just left and of course the old man behind the desk drove out trying to charge me for my daughter who was free and yelling at me why I was giving his Rangers a hard time. This is the same guy who went ballistic when my Daughter walked too close to a sand trap when she was younger and I guess left a footprint in it which I didnt realize. He hasnt changed in all these years. I told him these Rangers are rude as hell to their customers and he was like what do you mean? Please. I know a guy that works there and told me the Rangers have been told by the owners to keep their mouths shut since there are complaints all the time. Obviously they dont listen. Why deal with this stress? I pay good money to enjoy myself. Ive played probably 100 courses in Michigan, many in SE Michigan many times and i NEVER have run across stress from Rangers and Rude Rangers like I have here. I stopped going here years ago and now I remember again why. Until these old farts retire and they get new management that knows how to treat its customers I wont be going back.

I would give a negative rating if possible. I have gone here for a few years and couldnt tell you one time that I left and didnt think wow these people are rude. Customer service is absolutely awful. I would not want these employees to represent me if I was the owner. Couldnt care less about prices or the actual golfing- the customer service is what is terrible. Just went to the golf range and I asked for help in purchasing the balls (after the employee just was looking at me not acknowledging me) and he said "well read it and do what it says." Needless to say I left considering the courses own employe didnt seem to care if I spent money or not. Horrible place to go to. I recommend fox hills or oasis golf. Both great places and wont leave you wondering why you keep spending your money. Its unfortunate that I am never coming back because its so close to my house and I love golfing here. Look at the other reviews and you will see I am not only one saying these people are rude.

My experience at this golf course was absolutely horrendous. At the first hole, I was told by an employee that I should start at the red tee markers because women are typically less skilled than men. He said that he did not want me slowing down the golfers behind us (even though no one was there). Since I payed good money to golf there, I should have been able to tee off wherever I please. Instead of letting my friends and I enjoy our game, he continued to argue with us and stalk us from afar. Plus, I felt that grounds were messy and not managed properly. Overall, this was a terrible experience and I would not recommend golfing at this establishment (especially if you are a woman).
