Scared to go back here. I use to come to the Roxy atleast every month. Sometimes every couple weeks. I really enjoyed the convenience of a local theater. The popcorn is great, except for one time. That one time it was just smaller pieces of popcorn. It felt like they scrapped it off the bottom when they were running low. What really bothers me is that a few times in the past, the screen goes black and there is only audio. Its happened once or twice during a movie. You have to tell them and theyll turn back the film so you can see what you missed. Once or twice is, annoying but I can deal with it. Last time we went to see beauty and the beast, it happened about 6-8 times. They rewound it every time so I did get to see the entire film but that ruined the pace of the movie. I dont like to cause a scene or make anyone feel pressured on the spot so I didnt say anything to anyone until I got home. I wrote them a polite email explaining the fustration of that and told them I didnt need my money back or any compensation, like I heard others ask for. I just wanted them to acknowledge that was a problem. I never heard back from them. I assume they dont care about me or my feelings. Im afraid to go back there if they are not going to acknowledge theres a problem. I dont want it to happen again. Its a loss for me because Ill have to travel farther. Its a loss for them because theater is expensive and I easly spend 40 bucks for the two of us. Thanks for reading.

Love this theater but the concession stand is lacking. Usually there are 3 it 4 people behind the counter and only one register open. As many movies as there is running they need to have all of them open. I get angry when Im in line for a coke and Im standing just behind the ticket booth! I mean when a coke costs you $5-6 you would think they would try to sell as many as possible! Guess from now on it will be a big purse with drinks and snacks! :(. Update: Went to see a 7:00 movie, they had cancelled the 9 movie so employees could go home early. Ive was all melted but they wanted to be safe. To many people waiting for concessions yet again. Backed up to the doors. They had a sign that late show was cancelled but nothing on the concessions so we went to get a seat then come back once it had thinned down. The concessions we closed

I love movies and I travel to many different theaters. The one in Dickson needs serious attention. The sound is WAY off as to directional. The front speaker is the most important so that you can hear the conversations in the movies, the rest for stereo sound effects. Found myself straining to hear the conversations over the added movies sound effects. Too many of the seats are ripped, squeak or just plain broken. The popcorn was stale and the coke watered down. Many times the movie does not start at the scheduled time. Too many corners being cut by this theater. Either needs new management or great competition to move in. I would rather drive all the way to the Hollywood 27 Regal than to go to Dickson Roxy.

1) Staff - mostly pleasant 2) Food - only had the large popcorn, free refills, everything else to pricey, best part about the popcorn - Dye Free, im allergic to all food dyes 3) it needs a visual update from an artists pov (lol curb appeal) 4) compared to NV prices, Dickson is 25 cents more expensive, not a big deal. for the cost of admission. 5) floors usually clean given the foot traffic, but could use more attention. 6) they recently within the past 2 years went from Reels to Digital, you can always go see a film before taking your children to check the imagery or quality of your experience. its not the companies fault for the advertisements, its the industries fault, dont hold the theatre responsible.

I dont normally write reviews but seeing how highly rated this theatre always is bothers me I ALWAYS drive into Franklin to the Thoroughbred theatre to avoid going to the Roxy. This theatre has terrible staff, terrible concessions, terrible prices, and its NOT clean I see lots of "at least theyre employing high schoolers" — maybe that would be good if they actually made them do their jobs. Look at other businesses in Dickson that employ high schoolers & see how theyre actually doing their jobs!!! Its gross. Movies never start on time. Theaters themselves are always underkept and dirty. Stay away & go somewhere else.

the managers dont care about customers and are so unprofessional. most of the ushers are very dismissive. if you ask them to fix a movie, it stays fixed for five minutes before they tell you the movie is broken. the seats squeak so loud during the movie. they dont have food made a lot, but a couple of the concession girls will make it. well one girl. since going on weeknights cuts down on the crowd, but also on cleanliness. ive talked to them before about spraying a little febreeze in the hallways of the theaters. anyway its an awesome place and much cheaper than anywhere else but they have off days with me.

the place is always filthy even at the first showing, the popcorn is old, the screens all have lines running vertical on them, the sound is distorted and good luck getting waited on, maybe if there were adults running the place it would be better but its just teenagers; kids who are more interested in their social life than customers, kids running the projectors making obsence gesture, and sounds!! yes the customers can hear you!! all the good reviews are from the roxy staff, it could have been a great place if managment hadnt turned it over to the immature teens to run!!!!

I live in Dickson and I do enjoy the Roxy. It is NOT perfect though. At certain times of the day when theyre not real busy you get the stale kernel popcorn instead of making sure they have fresh popcorn. Not once that I have gone has the movie ever started on time. Every once in a while there is a problem with the sound as well. Sometimes the kids that work the concession stand are off somewhere when you need refills and you have to go find someone for help. But the chairs are comfy, the floor is usually clean and its a good amount of space in each movie stadium.

I have been to the Roxy theater many times and have nothing but great things to say about it. The person that said they had stale popcorn and watered down Coke has actually probably never been to the this particular Roxy theater. Could just be one of those people who give bad ratings in hopes of ruining a businesss image. I dont know anyone that has ever had a negative experience. You guys at Roxy are doing an awesome job! Keep up the good work. Person that didnt enjoy your visit; try going to Fountain Square theater. Its probably better suited for you.

This theater is really quite awful from a concessions standpoint. The popcorn is stale, and the hot dog buns doubly so . . . not that it matters because its unlikely that theyll have any hot dogs anyway. Last time I went they didnt even have any bottled water and wanted to charge me the price of a soda for some tap water in a cup. Of course . . . if you live in the Dickson area then you dont really have another choice unless you want to travel 40+ minutes to some other theater, which is really the only reason this establishment is still in business.
