I have been a loyal fan and patron of Willow Creek for YEARS!!! I love the new seating and renovations, BUT, I was told matinee tickets would not go up. After 2 weeks, I went to a movie yesterday (12/10/16) and the prices for a noon matinee went up to $8.00!!!!!! WTH?????? You have to get your own pop now as well. I think an AMC matinee maybe cheaper. Sad, Sad, Sad ................. I have to edit my rating!!! Emagine DID lower the prices. Thank you. BUT, I come in for The Fate of the Furious, with my pre-purchased $15.00 popcorn bucket, and find now to get REAL BUTTER, its an extra $1 ??? Otherwise its soy "topping" ???? And, they raised the price of a small pop to $5.00!!!!!! OMG!!!! And the girl says, oh well, times they are a changing!!!!! OMG EMAGINE!!!!!!! You lower prices on tickets and jack up the price on everything else. Fountain syrup pop is a very high profit item!!! And the customer has to serve themselves. Whats next? Extra for salt?????

I used to love love this theatre but not had it gone downhill Why in the world do I have to bring a blanket in to watch a movie? Its sooo cool it there it makes it uncomfortable And why have assigned seating thats the dumbest idea you ever came up with,,, I like to sit away from others if they have cologne or cigarette smoke on their clothes o like to get up and move I cant do it here I hate having to wait or go online to but a ticket that is crazy its like oh first thing in the morning I have to go online pick my seat and pay in advance and what if something comes up no refunds???? Do not assign an usher that the one good thing you have not ruined yet I. Addition those pop machine are crazy it takes longer to figure those out than to have the concessions stand do it what the purpose of them Hopefully you will keep me as a patron otherwise have to go to maple grove so I can sit where o want

Theyve ruined it! We used to love going to Willow Creek Theater. They were friendly, had comfortable seats, and were affordable. Thats all changed now, since it was taken over by Emagine Corporation. They ripped out all the seats and replaced them with these horrible overly soft seats that angle back too far and have no back support. Theyre the most uncomfortable seats I have ever seen. It ruins the whole experience. Then, they nearly doubled the ticket price, and force you to sit in an assigned seat. To top it all off, the staff is no longer friendly, like they used to be. I will NEVER go there again. Thanks Emagine, for ruining our theater! I just hope they never get a hold of Hopkins Theater and ruin that one too.

I understand how some could view the new leather seats as wrath it, but the food is outrageous. I paid $22 for two drinks(one medium and one large), a medium popcorn, and two bags of candy, which the cashier seemed to look away and mumble as if they didnt want me to hear the total. Then, they dont have the common decency to show you how much the items were individually priced on the receipt. Some may view the new changes as an upgrade via "modernization", but many(including myself, might i say) are very sad to see the cozy theater we knew growing up to be but a memory now. I cannot bring myself to attend this theater any longer. Goodbye old safe haven of young and old. May the place we once knew rest in peace.

Ever since they remodeled, the chairs are SO COMFY. Every seat is now a recliner and each seat has a lot of surrounding space. It has a very luxurious atmosphere, but they kept prices very affordable. It depends on the day/time of day, but if you check on their website you can see the different pricing for different days and times. Evenings and weekends are more expensive which is expected, but it is still not crazy compared to some more "luxury" movie theaters. The only downside is that you choose your seats, so if you just walk in and want to see a movie, a lot of seats may have been purchased in advance. As long as you plan ahead somewhat, this theater is the best.

The first time I ever visited this theater there was a power outage part way through the movie. When the power returned, the movie continued to play, but without any video projecting onto the screen. By the time the movie was visible again, 5-10 minutes of the movie had lapsed. This was slightly irritating, but I enjoyed the remainder of the film anyway. When the movie finished, the manager came into the theater and greeted each of the viewers personally, apologized for the outage, and offered us free movie passes to be used on any movie, at any time in the future. I was very impressed with their proactive customer service. I will certainly return!

Assigned seating no one follows. We had to get tickets with everyone separated, and no one was following it anyway. We sat together, but then people showed up with tickets assigned to the seat (late) and it was too dark and late to play musical chairs trying to get people in correct seats. As a result, one of the people in our party did not have a seat and had to leave, paid for a seat he did not get and did not get to see the movie. Staff was friendly but there were too few so there was no way for them to really help. As long as they have assigned seating we will not return. Not worth the hassle.

Love love love this theater! I hadnt been there in years and recently went to see Dunkirk in 70mm (this is one of less than 160 theaters in the world that still has the ability to show 70mm format movies.) The recent renovation has brought good things like the comfiest recliner chairs Ive ever experienced in a theater and great sound. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They have the app-connected coca cola machines, all kinds of food options, good popcorn, and evening bar drink options. And ticket prices are less expensive than other movie theaters. This is my new favorite theater!

This is our neighborhood theater, but it would be worth the trip even if we lived farther away. Easy parking, inexpensive tickets, rarely crowded, and great Chinese food across the parking lot. The laid-back atmosphere makes it a great choice for a last-minute impulse run to see a movie. We really enjoyed their midnight retro showing of The Shining several years ago, with an intro by Colin Covert of the Star Tribune, and were thrilled when they showed the 70 mm print of Interstellar last year. Ill choose Willow Creek over Showplace 10 out of 10 times.

Great theatre! Looks like they recently renovated the theatre. Comfortable recliner seats and good interiors. Picture and sound quality was great. $5 for a movie and a bucket of free pop corn (if you sign up and become a Emagine movie theatre member) is a deal you dont want to miss. Hope they install and sign outside about the theatre. If not for technology and internet, I wouldnt be able to tell this is a theatre. They also have a good app one might want to download.

Very nice theater and very comfortable seats, but the ticket process was cumbersome. I purchased seats on line and picked my seats. I did not have the option to download or print my tickets, but had to go to ticket counter which had a very long line and only one person working. This theater is closest to my home and a tad less expensive, but Im undecided if I would return.
