To everyone complaining about picking your seats from the kiosk; It is to combat people from movie hopping without paying and keeping stray packs of obnoxious middle school kids from invading your R-rated comedy. I personally like being able to pick my seats beforehand since I dont have to look around in the dark trying to find free seats in between groups or being forced to sit in the very front, plus its great for groups of friends since you dont have to worry about splitting seats after buying your tickets. I will, however, complain that about half of the kiosks are non-functioning at any given time and the few you can buy tickets from are usually occupied by plebes checking movie times on them instead of looking at the giant board hanging in their faces. The concession area is nice and open and the pick-up and pay system is a real time-saver. No need to wait for clueless people at the front of the line trying to choose between popcorn and Twizzlers. Food prices are the standard theater, amusement park, zombie apocalypse price. Theres also a bar inside if you want Kevin Hart to be funnier. The renovated interior is slick and clean with comfortable seats, particularly in the Dolby Digital theater where the sound system is perfect for horror or action movies. Seating rows are separated by walls, so no more kids or contemptible adults kicking your seats. The exterior could use a makeover; broken dirty poster cases, faded paint, gum EVERYWHERE. Theres also an obscene amount of trash scattered around outside. The parking lot is well lit and feels safe at 11 pm on a Saturday night. TL;DR Pros: Seat pre-selection, fast track concessions, comfy seats Cons: Limited purchasing kiosks, dirty exterior, post-apocalypse food pricing

I live in this area and have visited this theater numerous times over the years. I have always loved it! I had not gone for a while, (months) and I went yesterday, (Sunday) and was really disappointed. The theater is not as well kept as it used to be. I always visit during the week and I do understand that the weekends are high traffic days. The carpets were not clean, the bathroom was not clean, the concession area was not clean and some areas of the theater in and outside, (on the floor and ground) were not clean. Im not sure if they are short staffed or what the situation is but they really need to do much better than this. I plan on personally speaking to management, (or the district or regional office if I have to!) about this when I go back if it has not improved. AMC Southlake 24 is a large theater that offers IMAX. This sets it apart from the "average" theater and a lot of people travel from outside of Clayton County to come here for that reason only and spend LOTS of money there. I feel after spending our money there that we deserve to enjoy our movie experience in a clean environment. I remember always seeing the employees regularly cleaning in and outside of the theater and in the concession area. The bathrooms were always spotless and I have always taken pride in the fact that we had such a nice theater in this area. I can easily travel elsewhere to go to the movies but I dont feel that I should have to. AMC Southlake you have got to step up on your game and treat your customers better than this! This is NOT acceptable!

TRUE and HONEST Customer Experience: Paid for a regular move and got the 3D version for unknown reason. Walked into the theater and saw a blurry screen. Walked out to the ticket lady and asked for a pair of 3D glasses. She rudely demanded to see my tickets to even talk. I told her, 4 other people from the same theater came out to those 3D glasses right before me, but she just wouldn’t give them to me. She keep on insisting I didn’t paid for the 3D version, so I told her: I will give her $20 for a pair of 3D glasses. We came to have a good time, not wanting to stare at a blurry screen for an hour and 30 minutes and do you guys know what she told me??? “The screen is blurry because you are not wearing your glasses.” Really??? How rude can you possibly get? I literally just walk away and don’t know what to say. Just because I’m wearing glasses does NOT mean I can’t tell a different between a regular movie and a 3D version. The whole conversation, NEVER was I being loud or talk with an attitude. You have NO right to make that assumption! This place give the WORST customer experience ever. I don’t care if you spend millions of dollars remodeling your theater or operate under well-known brand. If you are hiring people like that, you WILL be out of business. I know that for a fact because today, youve lost mine. Note: I am a public figure in the community, that is why im not using my real name. Take your movie experience somewhere else. They dont deserve it.

They are always on point, some people need to stop lying about the theater because I been to many of them out here in GEORGIA since living here for two years and this one has been the best of all of them. No staff person is perfect and when you have kids working and new to the work force world, and their mostly kids working who need a chance to improve and get the feel of . Their first or second job. If others think they can do a Damn better job in supervising the new people then apply but shut the check up with all the negative remarks because something didnt go your way or you had to wait longer, honestly if you were smart you would just go at a different time from others, and if not that purchase your tickets through the box outside, online from your cell, or if you have AAA get a cheaper price ticket from them by getting 4 or more. You have many options so stop crying and use them. AMC is perfect for me, every business will have some type of little thing someone doesnt like. As long as they have a clean bill of health and great inspection I will continue with my business to them 3_4 times a week, with my husband or grandkids. Love you AMC 24 Southlake.

My husband, son, and I purchased tickets online to see Split. Upon arrival there was a line out the door with just one ticket attendant receiving the arrival of customers. My son and I decided to purchase from the concessions only to be tied up in another line, literally wrapped around the place. Ordering food in one place and paying in another is such a waist of time. Not to mention there were only 4 cashiers that were moving like turtles. The counter where we received our food was greasy and the floor was covered with waisted foods, drinks, and snacks. Before leaving the movie I went to the ladies room. It was disgusting! It was not clean, there was tissue everywhere, there was no soap in 2 dispensers, no paper towels, and urine all over the toilets and the floor. Needless to say, before I left I spoke with a supervisor and will be emailing the general manager as soon as Im done with this review. They definitely need to do better. Its a shame to have a freshly remodeled building that looks horrible.

Has replaced all of the old, awkward, typical movie theater seats with huge, soft, comfortable RECLINERS. I dont know if this is some insanely awesome plan on their part, or is some normal trend in general, but its the first Ive encountered such a thing. These new chairs must take up the space of three old ones. There are a fraction of the number of seats per theater. On the other hand, its now harder to get a ticket for a popular movie. You need to buy them ahead of time, if you want to be sure. And some of the screens actually have assigned seats. You have to tell them where you want to sit, of the remaining openings. A mixed blessing, of course. Special note: When I errantly asked for tickets to the wrong showing, and ended up walking in halfway through Dr Strange instead of at the beginning, someone at the customer service desk was happy to swap my four tickets for four new ones to a showing that was about to start, even though it was a more expensive 3D screen. Good customer service.
