So over the past year, I have frequented this theater as it is the closest to my house in Brentwood and they have a ton of showings at all hours so it is quite convenient. The theater itself is a little old and some of the viewing areas have a musty old theater smell to them. The staff there is usually pretty decent, but I have noticed at night there will be three people sitting at the customer service desk watching one poor person deal with a very long line of people for concessions. They dont even act like they consider helping one another. But all that aside the theater itself is OK, the real problem lies with the PEOPLE who come see movies at this theater. I dont know where the disconnect is these days but the last three times we have went to the theater I have experienced the following. During a mildly packed showing of 300:Rise of an Empire (awful), a young couple comes and sits one seat over from us then proceeds to talk the entire movie. After about 30 minutes of nonstop chatter between these two idiots, I lean over and politely ask the young lady to stop talking during the movie. She has the nerve to look at me and be like well that was rude. No Miss, talking during a movie is extremely rude. This happens almost every time we are at this theater. Secondly, during an opening day showing of Noah, we watch as this family of four (man, woman, and two kids ages maybe 4 and 7) sits in the row in front of us. Now I understand maybe you cant get a babysitter, maybe you (wrongly) believed your kids of that age would be fascinated by an Aronofsky film, but when your children do nothing but jibber jabber through an entire film whilst the people around you give you death stares, it is probably best you leave those children at home or come at a different time when you are able to do just that. This is just an example as anything not rated R in this theater you are rolling the dice whether you will experience this or not. Lastly, we went to see Transcendence (awful) last night. In a theater with maybe 10 people in it, while the movie is starting here come two people in at the last minute. The guy has a keychain that would make any janitor proud just clinking away as he haphazardly climbs the stairs all the way to the top where his lady friend decides they need to sit right beside us--literally one seat removed from me. Now this is understandable in a packed theater, this was unacceptable given the number of empty seats in the place. When they arrive at their seats, the man is gasping for breath so badly I think he is about to have a heart attack in the place. In between breaths he is gobbling up popcorn at an astronomical rate while sucking down 128 oz of sugary sweet beverage. It was so bad, my girlfriend and I had to get up and move, which elicited some rather rude comments from the above mentioned patrons about my views on race. Needless to say, after the last experience we will never be back to the Regal Hollywood 27. So if you can handle these things, and god bless you for your patience if so, then this theater is right up your alley and you will be more than happy to fork out 50 bucks for two of you to enjoy a movie. In my eyes, there is nothing enjoyable about this theater. Ignorant people have ruined it.

My family and I were at the regal theater in 100 oaks today watching a movie while watching the movie a group of teenagers one In particularly was kicking the back of my chair. We asked her to stop but she continued I finally turned a yelled at this inconsiturate person to stop. Once the movie was over we were getting up to leave the theater we were herased and threatened by some adults friends of theirs. we went management and security to get some help but we were only told that we were in the wrong for saying something to the disruptive teenagers. We have been to this theater several times to only be disappointed by inconsiturate people and their conduct and management would not do anything about it. If your tired of spending your hard earned money to go to a movie theater just be displeased with the conduct that is allowed to go on and if you saying anything you get herased for doing so. I suggest you not go to the theater and just rent a movie at home this might be the reason home theater system are billion business. Maybe some day Regal theaters will get a clue this one has not a movie theater should be a safe enjoyable experience.

When our babysitter wasnt available at the very last possible minute, we had to make a decision about taking our two-year old with us to see How to Train Your Dragon. We were afraid he wouldnt settle down during the movie and, sure enough, he didnt make it through the previews and opening minutes of the film. We had to go. As many theaters do, we were granted passes to come another time. But we were also stuck with a lot of pricey popcorn and sodas. The manager was very kind in granting us a refund there, too. Both he and the young lady the initially serviced us were very kind and EMPATHETIC to our situation -- something I really didnt expect at a theater. The 100 Oaks area does have a reputation of being insecure. However, there was at least one guard outside and three inside actively monitoring the entire area. We felt very secure while there. Im surprised by some of the negative reviews here. Weve been here many times before and generally find it to be a good theater. Given our service experience this last time, its gone up a few notches with us and well gladly return (provided we find a baby sitter, of course).

We purchased advanced tickets to IMAX Iron Man 2 at this theater. Not only have they been completely silent as to what we are to do now that the theater is under water- but they do not respond to repeated calls, messages and email inquires. We purchased the tickets in good faith, and though we realize that we will not be able to see the movie, and the fault is not with Regal, the very fact that they have our money and are not responding, speaks volumes in their LOW level of customer appreciation. When you purchase something in "good faith" you expect to get the product or get a credit. To get nothing but silence speaks loudly that they do not care AT ALL. The flood is bad, this level of customer care just adds insult to injury. Regal is a huge company and it would be nothing to them to honor these purchases. I will never trust them again. Do NOT buy advanced tickets. They have STOLEN our money. It is an outrage!

Am waiting for my movie to begin. First off this used to be the ONLY theater my family used to come to ever since it opened up. I think today is our last visit. We stood in line waiting our turn. It is a Saturday and they have 1,yes only 1 person at the concession stand. They had 1 other person ONLY handling the beer. It is CRAZY to have 1 person maning the alcohol when people are in line for cokes and popcorn!! Plus the poor kid was so short the people waiting in line couldnt see him waving to come over. Lastly, this is the FIRST movie theater that will NOT give you popcorn salt! They make you buy it!! Sorry but I will NEVER be back! No other theater makes me purchase popcorn salt! The popcorn is WAY overpriced as it is, so they have lost my family as a customer! I will keep going back to my home town Regal theater where I do NOT have buy popcorn salt!
