Riverwatch Cinemas is known for its luxurious experience, mainly due to its comfortable reclining seats. However, it's not just about comfort; the cinema also offers the convenience of online seat reservation and a decent selection of snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages. While the ticket prices are slightly higher than other local theaters, many believe the comfort and amenities justify the cost.

The stars are for the comfortable wide reclining seats! Great if its your thing to go to a theater and see a movie in a lazyboy ...many love that ...great! I like that the seats are comfortable and you select a seat when you purchase. So the missing stars 3/5 are because: (1) the concession is nothing beyond an average theater and food concession area has junk food ...same as in many other theaters. They do have beer, etc ...thats nice. (2) They have about half or 1/3 the number of movies playing as a regular theater. (2) Now here is why I may not prefer this place every time I go to the theater ..... especially for a late showing ...lol. Each of 3 times I went seeing great movies (Martian, Star Wars, etc) there were several people snoring loud enough for many to hear ...a few even after the movie for awhile ...lol. The cleanup staff told me that after many shows they wait for some to wake or have to wake them. I guess because those seats may be too comfortble. Id go early when wide awake. Ok great to recline for some but I prefer the sitting upright experience when I go out to a movie or concert .... actually it isnt my living room! ...well and also I prefer to not have people in sleeping positions around me snoring loudly like my Harry after Thanksgiving dinner. For most probably but not for some.

They changed the game with this theater. Of all the reasons before why I disliked going to a movie, the seating had to be the worst. Not here! They have Luxury leather "fat-boy" powered reclining chairs with two, yes two cup holders. You dont have to stand up as people rub against you trying to cram down a tight isle, they are spaced out so people can access any seat while you are reclined. They recline your head down and tilt legs up separately so that you can basically lay down or be anywhere in between. To allow all the space they only fit about 60-75 seats in each showing, so you must be thinking is costs a lot more? Actually it is only two dollars more then the other local theater in Evans, so 12$ per ticket. You can even reserve your favorite seat online ahead of time, or use the Kiosk as you arrive. If that is not enough to change your mind, they also let you butter your own popcorn! For the above 21 crowd, you can also purchase and enjoy a beer while you watch. On Sunday nights they also show "The Walking Dead" for free on a first come basis. They show the two previous episodes, the premiere, and "The Talking Dead" afterwards. Did I mention "free"? Kudos Riverwatch, Kudos.

First and foremost the attitude that the manager had on Saturday afternoon was horrible. There was a discrepancy with the seats and I am telling her to wait until my sister came back from printing the ticket (She had to reprint our tickets). She kept demanding I move and I kept telling her to wait. Then she made threats of calling the officer to have me escorted. Okay if its that serious, please do. Just like the other four people who booked their seats, we did too and paid. Im looking at her like I guess because we are the only ones of color we had to be treated as such. I never throw around the race card but today that was how I felt. Then she got upset because as we were walking out I called her out for what she did, she got upset and told the police I had to be escorted out. Horrible and I guess she felt good about herself for doing that too. First time there and the experience was horrible. I will never return. Just like the other non-African American patrons, we (I) should be treated the same. Signing off, Ticked off customer

I love the reclining seats and the way you can reserve the seat you want but there is real problem with getting tickets. Forget about last minute catch a movie ...that doesnt work here. If you dont get your seats online and pay a service fee per ticket you really need to go in hours earlier and secure your seats. For the comfortable movie experience i wasnt opposed to putting in the extra effort and stopped by tuesday afternoon only to find they did not have the times listed for the thursday showings. I was told by a manager that the listings for the week go up tuesday by 6. I left thinking how hard would it be to have your listings always 5 days out but still was willing to come back a second time. It is now 7:20 on tuesday night and i still dont see a listing for thursdays movies. Just seems ridiculous when you only have a handful of seats per theatre and the only way to secure them is acting ahead of time...but wait, you cant!

I enjoyed the new cinema experience! Chairs are comfortable, viewing and surround sound is great, but their prices changed drastically in the concession stand. Third time going and i am annoyed with there price increase on food (Cheese burger/chicken fingers). They had a small menu consisting on a few favorable items at a reasonable price. The last time i visited (Batman Vs. Superman), the old menu was gone replaced with a larger variety of expensive food items. I understand change is good and a larger variety but when you increase the price (greedy) it will deter people from enjoying your food, including me. Also, dont promise and advertise a full bar when you only sell beer and wine. I was told the very first time that your full bar will be available soon, and that was months ago. :(

The idea of this movie theater is good. I dont really see the point in paying extra to go to a "nicer" movie theater & not be able to enjoy any of the extra things like ordering your food or alcohol. I couldnt even order popcorn or water! We were trying to order our food before Girls Trip started and both ladies behind the counter ignored us. It wasnt crowded at all. 3 of us & 3 other people at the other end of the bar that was waiting together as well. Eventually we left bc the movie had just started. I called twice today to speak with a manager. They hung up the 1st time. I called back & was put on hold for over 5 minutes and didnt get anyone. My first and last time going here. I definitely wIll not recommend my friends or family to go here either!

Brand new theater so it has that new place hype, be prepared to wait.* You buy your tickets, pick your seat, and buy your concessions all at once. No waiting in multiple lines. If you dont plan to buy concessions theres a few stations were you can pickup tickets. Not sure if you can purchase the tickets directly from them. (Ill update on that later) I saw the new Star Wars in the Very Comfortable GTX seats. The seats have two functions, one that raises and lowers the leg rest, the other raises and lowers the seat back. Plenty of room in these seats to get comfortable. As far as concessions I only had an ICEE. It was delicious. *because I can only comment on what Ive experienced, Ill continue to edit this review as I revisit the theater.
