Went to see Kung Fu Panda 3 with wife and 3 children under 6. Thought it would be a fun way to treat the children to a fun night out. Even though after the tickets and the concessions i spent 60+ dollars, we were enjoying the movie a lot. We picked 4 seats (baby sat on lap) that had no one in front of them/ behind them/ or next to them. Throughout the movie, my boys were behaving well, besides having to use the restroom for what felt like 5x a piece, they were quiet and very excited about the movie. About 1/2 hr left in the movie, we noticed a manager type person walk in with a police officer and watch us for like 5 minutes. She then came up to us and told us how disruptive my boys were being by moving in their seats and shaking the empty chair in front of them (when they were excited). After the movie, i went and tried to get clarification from the managers and to question what about the situation required a police escort. The two managers told us that they watched the situation and saw that my children were moving in their seats and grabbing onto the chair in front of them and they deemed that they had no choice but to confront me in the middle of the movie. I explained that it was a childrens movie with every family there with children that were talking/moving/crying/etc and that i specifically picked those seats to not have anyone in any adjacent seating, but they continued to tell me how its unacceptable for my children to do anything but sit in their seats. After 18 years of living in plainfield and trying to shop local, i will go to the theater in avon where ive never had issues with my children.

Went and saw Star WARS Episode VII The Force Awakens and me and my friends got there rather early, a line had not even formed for our showing yet, but the guy taking tickets let us stay inside at the arcade area until the showing before us had went on. Everyone there was so polite and made sure everything was running smoothly. Staff let people get chairs to sit on while waiting in line forever. When the lime became extremely long and people were waiting in the snow, they had the line move to a new area indoors so people were not outside. They would not let people ruin the movie for us either by making sure they did not say anything on the way out. Along with the amazing staff, the atmosphere was incredible. In the main area, by concessions, it is lit with colorful lights on the walls and ceilings giving it a friendly feeling. The IMAX Theatre was incredible and was comforting and comfortable as well. The concessions prices were not bad at all either! From now on, Im choosing to come to Carmike whenever I am seeing an IMAX movie. I would come here every time but it is a 35 minute drive from my house. Overall great place!

Love this theater. I was hesitant when Carmike took over Rave, but only good things have changed. The kiddo and I come every other Tuesday, for their concession specials, and during their twilight matinee. Two tickets, two drinks, and two popcorn for twenty-two bucks? You cannot go to the movies for that kind of cash without time-traveling into the 90s. Seriously. They have a lot of screens, their seats are comfortably spaced, and its always tidy. Also you get to butter your own popcorn, and thats pretty much like handing the masses a fountain of delicious, fatty gold. So delish. Dude. And free refills on drinks. Whaaaaaaat? Crazy right? They offer more food items now, and are trying for a liquor licence ( I believe). Really, its all your movie-watching heart could ever need. Also, their bathrooms are legit. Massive, like twenty stalls in one of them and always lemony-fresh. For real. Movie heaven.

We stopped going to movie theaters several years ago due to all of the b.s. Being huge fans of Bad Santa, we couldnt wait for the sequel to be released on Blu-ray. The start time was listed for 230pm, and yes movie theaters have always started a little late, but damn. We arrived 5 minutes early because there was no traffic or line. We spent the next 30 freaking minutes watching product ads and 8 movie previews (more ads). My wife was so upset after 25 minutes of Samsung, Chevy, 3 back to back Coke ads, upcoming movies, etc that she wanted to leave. I managed to get her to stay, but the rage ruined the rest of the movie. $15.50 for a matinee and 30 minutes of our time which is worth at least 3 times that much. We wont be back. How much money does Carmike make for 25 minutes of captive advertising?

Staff is friendly, but slow as molasses at the concessions. I usually have to choose between getting a small, expensive hot dog, or getting into the theater on time. Eat first! Their website is impossible. Was planning on going this evening, but their damn website wouldnt load. I got the back starry background, but then....page just sat there. Every other page in the universe I went to in other tabs opened immediately, but not theirs. Im sure some genius bean-counter decided to save money on bandwidth. Also, new giant screen is nice, very nice! And the seats are comfy. My favorite movie theater...wish theyd get it together on their weak points though.

Just want to say thanks to all of the employees at Carmike 18. lost my wallet last Thursday, it had all my credit cards and some money in it. I didnt realize it was missing until the following morning after I made it to work. So I left work to retrace my steps with no luck, but I called the theatre to see if I had left it there after I purchases my popcorn. the person on the other end was so professional and assured me shed try to locate my wallet and give me a call back. She did in about ten minutes, even allowed me to pickup my wallet. EVERYTHING WAS THERE! GLORY AND THANKS

I have watched a few movies here and honestly think its my favorite location to go to for new movies & the service is always friendly. Seems like they have a lot of ways to save money, they even gave me a members card but unfortunately Ive never been able to successfully register it online... I finally gave up on it. The restrooms dont smell but the general public is brutal, almost every toilet was left un flushed, come on guys flush the toilets! My other complaint is that Im either to hot or to cold, why cant they control the temperature?

They have horrible policy. They wouldnt let me into the movie that I have already bought tickets to. It was a very huge and annoying inconvince. Even though we were very close to the required age for the movie, they still wouldnt let us. If our parents give us consent to see the movie then we should be allowed to see the movie, its bogus that it isnt that way! They also made mockery out of it.

We arrived 10 min prior to the scheduled time for the family/kids movie (Finding Dory) and had to sit through loud TV-style commercials until a few minutes AFTER the scheduled start time. This followed by 8 previews, then 2 more commercials, both inappropriate for a 5 & 7 year old. Then after an animated short finally the movie started 30 min after the scheduled time. Ridiculous.
